Many years ago when I drove truck we hauled wet sloppy stuff like that. We used burlap folded as a seal around the tailgate. Worked pretty good. That cleaned up very nice. Keep smilin
Remarkable! Just like you… I don’t remember it ever being concrete. I was gonna say that the water was coming from Rib Crib and McAlisters air conditioning condensate… until you pulled the plug. Then it was apparent that you’d drained the mosquito nursery! I bet a lot of that sediment came from construction and TRASH! Goodness knows, I’d driven by there a hundred times and never realized that those culverts were that plugged up. Hope you had a great time in KC? Surely MrsEE found a place to shop… I mean what’s a trip to KC without a little BBQ and shopping? Our 48th anniversary is next week… I’ve about exhausted all my ideas for ways to celebrate… think I ought to go for popcorn and Net Flicks this year or surprise her with plane tickets to Florida for Thanksgiving? Probably ought to flip that coin soon!
Lol I think your right. I couldn’t believe how much water was backed up. It surprised me. We had a great time in KC! Lol yeah you better come up with something quick. Happy early anniversary to you guys
The first thing I thought on the first bucket of the dark, goopy mess, was "OMG the smell!" I hope the "rinse cycle" that you got when you opened up that other culvert took some of the smell away. Really enjoyed this one, except maybe for the "surfing in slop" part when you dumped that first load toward the camera! Happy anniversery to you and Mrs. EE!
Hey, I got mud in my eye man, gives new meaning to black out🙄😉😏. When you opened that double drain tubes up I couldn’t believe the amount of water that came out of them. If that smelled as bad as it looked I would think the enclosed cab would’ve been a nice feature on the excavator about then. Thanks for the ride along sir
Well now I know why your plan changed from where you intended to start. There was a lot of water backed up in the pipe coming from underneath the road at the intersection. You probably did someone a favor back upstream by clearing that blockage. That was a cool little job. Have fun and be safe on your trip to KC.
After I say water sitting in those pipes I was like I’ll start at the other end. I have no idea there was going to be that much water lol. Thank you we had a great time!
Very, very impressive! Beautiful job Brandon! The ditch looks so nice, straight, and precise! I made some popcorn on the stove and watched the video tonight. Great Saturday night entertainment! Thank you for sharing the video with us!
Happy anniversary you two!! 15 years is awesome. Now that you cleared it back so far, it will be nicer to mow,,, once it dries out. Great bed for the seed to germinate in though. It should take to your retirement to need cleaning again,,,,, what were you thinking?? 😂😂. There’s no job security in that!! Haha. Looks much better Brandon. I lika this very much! See how the next ditch goes. I was having coffee on the deck and nearly crapped my pants this morning!! (Noooo, not because of old age,,,,,, ). The deck where I was sitting is about 5 ft off the ground. Up pops the head of one scarred up old Grizzly bear boar!! 6 ft from my feet. Not sure who was more scared! I jumped up, ran towards the bear (bad habit,,, don’t ever scare me, I swing first ask questions later 😂😂) to the rail and he was slipping and scraping his way over the retaining wall he ran into. All I saw from that point was his rump, he didn’t even look back!! I left a gate near there open so he got into the fenced area and must have been wandering around for an hour or so. Left it open because the bears should be hibernating by now! He was pretty skinny though. Often a Grizzly boar will den late trying to get a few extra calories from hunters gut piles etc. He was old enough, by his size, to know about that. Guys like him often don’t wake up in the spring. If a boar does 20+ years in the wild, they really are old. The gate is shut tonight!! Haha. I doubt he will be back. If he is there’s one hot, very hot wire on top of the chain link at about 6.5ft. He really was large framed for this area. Would have been amazing to see him in the spring or a year or two ago. After that, I know my heart is good for a loonngg time now!! Heh heh. Sheesh,,,,,,. Take care good sir!
Thank you! I appreciate that! Lol that’s probably if they wait that long. 🤣🤣 wow I would crap my pants too! What a day! Glad you didn’t have to fight a bear!
@@eliteearthworksllc - I ain’t fighting no bear! If it came to that I would run the other way,,,, he would never catch me because he would be slipping in my crap!!! Haha. I’m only brave to a point,,,,,, Thanks again.
Crazy how much water gushed out when you took that last scoop by the outlet pipe. Y’all gonna visit the power and light district in KC? That city is so cool, so many things to do. I’ve got to get back there someday. Excellent bbq for sure!
@@eliteearthworksllc I should have mentioned chocolate covered strawberries. But then she would want to know what you are buying or have bought. Lmao. Have a great ANNIVERSARY.
WOW! We were shocked at that huge volume of water that came rushing out of those two pipes - and this was when you're in a dry spell! So, how much fun was it retrieving your GoPro out of that HUGE cow paddy, LOL?
15:48 Those 2 people are probably the first two people to complain when that intersection would have flooded...and they should not have been dumb enough to follow close behind a truck with fluid coming from the gate.
Just asking do you know where all that water from the culvert comes from and HAPPY 15TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY 👩❤️👨 to MR&MRS ELITE EARTHWORKS hope you guy's have a wonderful day on Thursday and I can't wait until I can say that.
Was that a poor landscape to start with? Looked like to they were going for the hidden concrete lined ditch look and it got overwhelmed by the lawn service blowing all the clippings into the ditch where they rotted down to new soil
Have u ever watched hedblom on utube? That guy is the cats meow on a excavator.he has a tilt/rotator and all kinds of attachments for it. I keep waiting for him to pick up a broom and sweep at the end of the job. I love watching him but it’s very common over there

I had noticed that the ditch had cleaned up last week, looks good there and Happy Anniversary also.

Congratulations to you and Mrs Elite. Loved the camera splash when unloading. Lol lol I even jumped.

I think the critter at 14:20 (groundhog?) really appreciated having a clear path to run along 😀
I agree lol I didn’t see him at first
Looks like you hauled off some pretty good topsoil from that dredging.
Yeah it was some really nice stuff!
Great job sir. Bless you both on the Anniversary 🎉

That concrete helped for quick grading but put extra wear on the bucket cutting edge.

Love the video.... what is the difference between dredging and grading?
Thank you! Dredging is when you are digging out mud or sediment and grading is more shaping of an area
