I think you and I are probably pretty similar so I was sitting here watching and thinking, boy, I hate dumping rip rap in my truck and then beating the crap out of my machine to get it to lay right. It does look good when you do that, but I just hate the thought of what it does to the boom on the excavator. Oh well, we do what has to be done. Good job again sir. Stay safe my friend.
That looks great. I am always impressed with how well and how straight you can shape those ditches. I have trouble enough with the whole straight line thing, but trying to add a consistent edge and slope, thank goodness I only maintain them on the ranch, lucky for me, the goats do not seem to care.
The straw sure makes it look finished. The contours really pop, even in the shadowless light. This ditch had a lot less trash in it. The last one had enough Braum’s cups and Lowes bags to start franchises! I stopped by there today to pick up some wood glue. That concrete pad was a lot longer than I remembered it to be. Both are areas looked like they were newly constructed. I hope you aren’t stuck with too much Leftover Halloween candy. It’d be a shame to have snacks in your lunch bucket all week!🎃🎃🎃
Yes the straw really dresses it up lol! Yeah I didn’t realize the concrete went the length of the ditch on that one. There’s not a piece of straw to be seen on this site now 🤣 yes I have some candy left over definitely taking it in my lunch no sense it leaving it at home
Looking pretty d*mn good there good Sir!! You got to use your old faithful, the loader!!! You are just very good with that machine, plain and simple! Takes time and experience to get there, but there has to be natural talents that come to play as well. Not to say you are bad at any of the equipment you operate, you just excel at one in particular!!😊 Did you see Chris bought a new 220EL?? He said he needed it to be able to work overlapping jobs and I suspect to fill in when there’s down time on the other machine as it ages. Much like you were using your excavators this year. They were at different locations and when you couldn’t work at one location, the other location seemed to be workable. It makes sense. He just takes on those really big clearing jobs and the likes that need the bigger machines. It looks nicer but, as you already know with your equipment,,,, they are always sooo nice when they are new. Great maintenance routines are what keep them that way. Of course this parts for the other fans, because you could teach a lot of operators what proper maintenance is!! So that d*mn bear is still around. Legally they are protected, so you can’t harass them. He tried the fence today and I must have laughed an hour at his reaction to that top wire!! Be d*amned if he didn’t try it 2 more times at different locations! Smart bear to test the fence, bu then,,,, if your gonna be dumb, ya gotta be tough!! He sure is tough!! 😂😂😂. He isn’t too healthy so I contacted Fish & wildlife to see if we could get him removed. He is too dangerous to people, their pets and livestock in the condition he is in. I spoke with a couple of other people living or owning cabins in the area. He hasn’t successfully broken into any, but he sure has tried!! They can smell the food you have in there and when they get over their fear of humans, as this bear clearly has, it gets dangerous. He may just get some birdshot sent his way a few times. You can’t just let them hang around until they do something bad. He might still respond to “conditioning”. 😂😂 I don’t care what animal you are a load of birdshot in the arse had GOTTA hurt!! I got shot out of a tree with shells that had been reloaded with salt!! I had the biggest and ugliest bruises!! I was raiding an apple orchard so deserved something, but I didn’t think that was right. I came riding my bike home with that guy’s shotgun!! I was only 14, but adrenaline from being shot out of a tree can make you pretty bold, tough and ornery!! The guy showed up for his shotgun and he got it back, but not without a “physical education” from my father. Back then things could be settled that way and they didn’t come back and burn your house down at night or anything like that. I was punished too severely, dad knocked him down to reality and life goes on!! Later on he worked for me at harvest time. He was getting older by then, but he sure could run the chopper through the corn like no one else in the area. He was always sorry for getting me. I got over it and never raided anyones apple trees or gardens anymore!! 😂😂. I’m rambling again!! Looking good Brandon!! You and the family take care, Eh!!
Thank you! I definitely feel like I excel on the loader vs other machines. Yes I saw his new Volvo. Very nice machine super happy for him. That’s one thing I’m learning with having more equipment you can definitely jump from job to job easier lol! Man that bear won’t give up. Hopefully they can get rid of him he sounds pretty persistent. Best of luck!
I looked into it and low cube 6'6" tall containers are starting to be a thing. I could see raising the bridge enough to clear triple stacks of those and double stacks of high cube cans.
I believe you talked about the tilt attachment for your bucket... If you haven't yet, Just Do IT... Order it now my good Sir... We all know you do really good work without it but with it, Fo'ged a'boud it!!!
@@eliteearthworksllc I had a similar situation, for my SCL1000... It would be a lot easier and faster for me, for the stuff that I do, to have an Auger attachment "Kubota CSA10"... I am not a fence builder but I do, at times, have to reinstall existing fences (up to ten 7') sections that have to come out for residential pool construction... I was able to lock in the price early and already took delivery... In these Clown World times we are in right now, prices are only going north I think

I really appreciate your explanations and narrative. I hope that you'll be able to justify keeping the dozer!
Thank you! I do appreciate that! I think I’ve got enough work to keep it. I’m glad it’s handy
Outstanding! No more mud pies, I guess, LOL. Hey, blowing off that cement would have looked pretty neat, I bet - even if it was a little windy.
Thank you! It’s a big change. I should have blown it off. We got the 3” last week now there isn’t a piece of straw on that job 🤣
That ended as a nice clean project!
Thanks! It was a big difference from before
Thanks Brandon looking really good cracking great job. Take care of yourself and family. Diesel fuel shortage coming.
Thank you! Yeah that’s what I’ve heard. I really hope not cause I have some big jobs I need to finish before the end of the year

Yes I hate it and from watching the video I was a bit rough on the excavator. I was in a hurry so that didn’t help lol
That looks great. I am always impressed with how well and how straight you can shape those ditches. I have trouble enough with the whole straight line thing, but trying to add a consistent edge and slope, thank goodness I only maintain them on the ranch, lucky for me, the goats do not seem to care.
Thank you! It can be a bit tricky and sometimes it looks better on camera than in person 🤣
Goats aren’t too particular… but at my place Nana is!
Quality finish bro, good job well done.
Thank you!
Nice work olson! Good job.
Thanks buddy!
Turned out looking awesome ❗Good job 👍🙂

Lol I did and she did as well 🤣

Great job new subscriber great videos. My new favorite channel 🎃🎃🎃
Thank you! I appreciate hearing that! 👍🏻
Surprised you haven’t gotten a tilt grading bucket yet!!
I looked into it over the summer but it was $12k and 30 weeks wait time. It would be handy to have though
Goodmorning Brandon
Good morning
KCS wants to run triple stacks? Interesting.
That’s the story I got I’m not sure how much truth there is too it
Or, the railroad just wants to mess with someone.
