In our Township they are not supposed to push water on the neighbors but it happens. My ditch filled with leaves and it became a annual event. I would use a shovel and rake to clean it out. I ended up taking a few years to put a pipe in with gravel on top to make a french drain. Water comes down the slope and drops into the pipe.

I loved this video! Really satisfying to see all the water start to run and drain, and the culvert pipe removal was fun to watch! That little digger is so capable!
Has it been a wetter than usual fall for you? It seems like it’s always super wet or you guys have a high water table. Would make it a real pain to grade and smooth things out, but you definitely make it look easy! Thanks again for sharing
I'm pretty sure that's just water from melted snow, even in early November it had been snowing in the area then melting a few days later and the temperatures keep hovering around freezing, there really wasn't colorful fall foliage this year, everything just turned grey and muddy, I have a bunch of project I won't finish because of the unusual weather this year everything is just wet.

There's something immensely satisfying about watching water being redirected like this. Basically the same fascination as digging canals on the beach around a sandcastle, except that it's a bit wetter, colder and will hopefully last beyond the tide coming in....
I'm critical of your container castle, but after seeing your job, I can trust you so much more now. I guess alot of spiral staircases and metal buildings I've seen are over-engineered and are made for "massive" amounts of visitors.
He didn't want to pay for it, Laughable. When will people learn to fix it right no matter the cost and you wont have a issue again.....I can watch these videos nonstop, very addicting...thanks for sharing
Great video and love your dog, he looks fun! The old drainage pipe looks to have silted up because it was not installed to the right depth which meant traffic eventually caused it to collapse. I would have dug the roadside ditch a bit deeper to allow for silt and tree debris to build up before it filled the trench again after a few years. Then put a trench across where the old drain pipe was and dug that to 2ft deep minimum. Then installed a ribbed 9inch plastic drainage pipe topped with 1inch clean limestone/gravel across the road to a 3ft square soak away. Top dressing it as you did. No need to go off into the woods with a drainage pipe if you use a soak away.
Good job, my guess for the culvert pipe however would be, it was going from the grass area to a trench in the woods ( the one you renewed). Judging by the puddles it was probably to drain the grass area. So it wasnt going from wood to wood, it was going from grass area to wood.
Aww dude, you used that music again (end of vid) I love that song, still can't find it though. Edit: Somg is called Row and it’s by Raden Siwa. Great vid, always amazes me how you're able to eyeball the gradient for good water flow, while you're digging.
Man you really know how to work that machine. Almost like its an extension of you. Great job. Many hours in that seat I would imagine to get this good.
Good work, just one idea. It can be a useful to dig a sump just in front of the culvert to catch solids in the water flow. Just dig it out once in a while when it fills up.

@@JohnAvantiBK Yeah i use it for a daily driver, i wouldnt recommend buying one unless you are mechanically skilled, so far after a few months of owning it, it had 2 misfires, first one was from a bad coil which took 5 minutes to diagnose and replace, and then that misfire went away, then a month later the fuel injector failed and the whole entire intake had to come off. But that is all that pretty much "stopped working" by its self, its been smooth sailing from there on out so far, and its been fun changing out all the fluids and doing an overhaul of maintenance.

You took such a great stance on how to make the land work better for your customer, your dog must have such an amazing life going job site to job site exploring
Ok so... UA-cam recommends this month's later. So now I'm watching a man dig a trench at 3am in the morning... sigh...fml.
Don't worry, he's got lots of videos. Most of them are better than this one, if you can believe it.
@@henryD9363 LOL 😂😂😂😂
Is that a komatsu?
He's unclogging a trench
Makes you want to go drive an excavator doesn’t it?
David Null ok I didn’t think of that, he’s last few videos looked really wet. Yeah it seems like we have two seasons anymore winter and summer crazy weather!
I live in a neighboring state. It seems like we get a big rain storm every week since the start of fall. I'm starting to get moss on my moss.
A Stanton1966 lol wow that’s bad!
Great job man! I’ve seen few people rival your skills with machinery and problem solving skills!!
How is the camera so smooth? Is it on a stabiliser?
@bailey125 camera is on a drone, you can see it at the end.
Why this was in my recommended will forever be beyond me. Still enjoyed watching the whole video, so that's a plus.
U use that machine like an extension of your arms!!! NICE WORK!!
Andrew thank you for your videos, My son and I watch them and learn a lot from you! Love to meet your dad!
You've gained a sub from me! I don't know why I haven't found your channel sooner.. I used to do a lot of similar work to you here in the UK. I used to love being outside in all weathers. You live in a beautiful part of the world and I really enjoy watching you do your work - you have a great touch on the excavators. I can't believe how you manage to do all of the work and find time to edit these great videos. It's not surprising you have gained so many subs in such a short space of time?! Great work - here's to the next 100K subs! :)
I actually never saw this one I only started watching you a year ago but I still watch videos from like 4 years ago by you fixing Lawn-mowers etc. so with that said thanks for the link
Nice work man smart thinking on putting all into one pipe nice job
12:42 AM, can’t sleep and enjoying another one of Andrew’s videos......until the music begins. Can we just hear the natural sounds involved.
he only uses music for time-lapses, if u didn't have music it would either be silent or it would sound like Alvin and the chipmunks up in here
I have just found your channel love your videos ive just watch a few 6 hours straight great work
There's something immensely satisfying about watching water being redirected like this. Basically the same fascination as digging canals on the beach around a sandcastle, except that it's a bit wetter, colder and will hopefully last beyond the tide coming in....
Pretty sure you could do hand surgery with an excavator. Incredible skill and such respect for your clients. Bravo.
My favorite video by AC! I can watch it over and over! Thanks AC. You're awesome!
Молодчина Андрюша! Уважаю ТЕБЯ!
Google Translate: "Well done Andryusha! I respect you!"
Busy Busy Busy.....plenty of work Andrew, always busy ...good...
Not sure why it is in my recomended but I watched whole thing with cup of coffee :D Nice job
Good work, just one idea. It can be a useful to dig a sump just in front of the culvert to catch solids in the water flow. Just dig it out once in a while when it fills up.
the excavator is such a dope invention
I didn't know this is what I wanted to be watching, but this is definitely what I want to be watching. Tunes are chill too.
Th voice crack right at the start xD love you man. Keep it up!
Thank you Andrew for all the time you spend making videos. You're awesome!
You should put a list of your sound tracks. The songs are really catchy.
My first video on your channel and I'm already an addict. From what you're doing on that mini excavator. I can only imagine you operating the full sized excavators. Bad man on a machine 💪🏾✊🏾
I'm watching this man literally build a river. it's amazing
you are a complete workhorse but that mini excavator does pull its own weight and more. nice work. i had a yellow lab just like levi when i was 20 and his name was sonny and he looks exactly like levi and had the same body build too. i love watching your vids because they do what you say and not a whole lot of bs explaining and self promoting going on. keep up the good work. my lab lived to be 14 and he was my boy till the end. never forget sonny boy!
*picks up tree and rolls away*
I wouldn't doubt Andrew is in his basement late night mixing beats for his videos. Dude can do it all.
Great videos keep up the hard work 👍👍
Congratulations on your 300 thousand subscribers Andrew!
Here's to a million and above.
Thank you for the awesome videos, keep them coming!!!
Thanks.
congrats on the 250k miles on the 4runner, mine has 235k and its a 96'
I was going to get a 4 runner but got a Subaru Outback better ride, fuel economy, comfort and can run circles around the 4 runner.
@@JohnAvantiBK Yeah my 4runner has horrible fuel econ. with the 3.4l v6 and 4wd i get about 12 mph when i drive like a grandma.
@@urbanitesgarage3299 I do like the 4 Runner but it's hard on the wallet for a daily driver.
@@urbanitesgarage3299 My out back had bad coils and missfireing. After I changed all the coils the car runs like new. I have 167k miles. My Lexus es350 at 130k miles never did anything but oil and regular ware parts.
Sometimes UA-cam's recommended videos hit the nail on the head... I love shit like this!
