I have had this Husqvarna 130bt for 10 plus years. Never has it failed to work, until today. Just bogged out when gassing it up. Went to UA-cam, checked several places. Found this video, sounded like my problem. This was easy, thank you very much. Started right up and full speed ahead. Learned something today and saved so money.
Thank you so much ! For the past couple years I just thought my blower was finished ! I did what you said and took off the spark arrestor, it was too dirty to clean so I just took it off, and runs like new again, Thank you !
Many thanks and much appreciated Tom. Your video was spot on for my Husqvarna 150BT blower too. My fuel/oil mixture is slightly richer (more oil content) than the 50:1 for better inner lubrication purposes. For a weekend warrior like me, I thought/changed the fuel filter, air filter and spark plug would be the fix. No sir, the spark arrestor screen needed cleaning (as noted in your video). Thanks again.
My dad had an old homelite weed eater when I was younger This happened and we made a bowl out of aluminum foil to soak with Off oven cleaner The screen was spotless but it dissolved the foil😂
Doing the same it still Boggs down with clean screen. I removed the entire muffler just to be sure and checked the piston cavity for obstructions I just have a carb issue
Seems to be an issue with weed eaters, chainsaws and blowers. I believe the biggest culprit for this issue is people that just constant feather the throttle up and down brocade they only need to fraction of the power to do the job. These things are meant to run wide open when in use which I believe keeps them clean.
hey tim sorry so late responding, the engine is running too rich... maybe 50 to 1 mix instead of 40, the needle lever in the carb is adjusted to high, could be the high settin on the carb or could be the engine is getting wear, it'll just happen again, i should have taken the muffler off and made sure the exhaust port was clean and not gummed up as well.
Mines bogging down as soon as I give her gas. Threw a new csrb and lines at it. Cleaned the screen. She bogs unless you run the throttle in between full and idle. Been using it like this for awhile but it's annoying as hell.

Superb vid, great info thanks
great job man as always
Is this for the 570 bts model as well? 66cc
yes, any 2 stroke equipment
@@TomDobyMowerRepair thanks man! I will see if this helps. Checked the spark plug and its fine. New fuel filter. So those are eliminated.
Nice job brother .
I just got one that's got a low power issue...wonder if this is the solution.
Could be several things, maybe simple as a carb adjustment
Is it Ok to remove these all together?
Well I can't legally say Hell Yeah!
What causes this to cake up so bad? Is this normal?

@@TomDobyMowerRepair so these use 40:1 not 50:1

What is the part you cleaner called?
its called the spark arrestor
You are going to have to come back to your real to get some rest Brother!
you aint kiddin! man i am wore out this week!
A very common problem that's easy to fix
You’re lucky that’s all it was. These things are sh1t! You cannot buy parts for them. Good luck getting the proper ignition coil or carb…
