Is anyone gonna talk how clean that is?
0:10 OMG
kourosh shn 1989 james
RickGrimes41 yes.
they should have added that in the song, just incredible
I think he can easily manage to bring back his voice for another album and utilize it for a few songs live and be safe
@@luisd.navarretec.5404 But you should consider that too he needs to sing the same part in 2 hours long concerts.
I could listen to this guy for days.
That’s practically what I do in my life
I believe James still has his old school vocals ,but can only do it for a short time
NIGEL 1̾9̾9̾0̾ that’s exactly what it is
NIGEL 1̾9̾9̾0̾ he can most definitely sing like he could before, but he has to avoid it to still be able to sing
@@jammeslive4050 using proper technique, he could easily do it.
He has to go Super Saiyan 3
Human Spider
his old voice was an improper technique. he wont be able to sing like his old self without ruining his voice.
7:09 idk why, but I just love that!
Be he didn't do that so much
its back people, his voice!!!! my god that scream at 00:10
Straight up Justice/Black Album shit right there.
and the yeah immediately after that. sounded exactly early 90s voice for a little
He’s not lost his 90s voice. he just doesn’t use it. He used it on S&M2 as well which is why those performances have better vocals. He basically, normally holds back. You might get a little taste for a song or two. Of him at Studio level. But he can’t do it like how he did in 89 where you got studio level live. He loses his voice. Once you blow it you have to hold back. I’m the same, I lost it in 2011 and now I have to hold back, and I lose it quicker, even speaking. He can do it for a song, but he can’t do it live for 3 hours, the fact he ever could was a gift from above.
@@onyourjackjones He almost lost his 90s voice during the "Metallica 1990" album. He went to doctors, had vocal lessons and the rest is history.
Golden voice
Thx for the upload!

This just makes me realize how much control James Hetfield has over his vocals. 1:02 showcases that, he has just the right amount of grit, compression while singing with relative ease. He isn't straining. Every person I have seen try to imitate his vocals are usually straining and you see veins popping out everywhere.
most of his singing is within that precise range, and he feels more comfortable singing with a bit of grit, without it sometimes his pitch feels a little lose, we can see it in softer songs live, like unforgiven
Love Hetfield so much :D
0:20 James hetfield singing in the style of PETER STEELE!!!
Juan camilo Gaitan paz no Lulu
I would say Elvis Presley goes METALlica.
More like Johnny Cash
Not really.
Love them all. Especially, 0:18 Hetfield one man Duet 0:22 Elvis 06:48
: Magnetic Hetfield maybe or could be Load Reload Hetfield era?
0:18 METLLICA
“cant even spell it right, weve only been together 20 years”
0:21 - 0:43 Peter Steele decides to come back from the dead
I would say Elvis.
Lol james sounds like Peter steele at 0:32
RickGrimes41 I thought the exact same thing. 🖒🖒
We need an entire album sung like that! LMAO
No Lulu
@@Chubzdoomer no please, that would truly suck, it would be worse than Lulu
Man unkind is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
Just the title is a bit corny but I see it as a cool black sabbath tribute
for their next album, i want Papa Het to bring out his last(?) few screams like at 0:10, i really hope they deliver some killer heavy tunes. There's always gonna be some ballady/groovy flavour to some songs but im really looking forward to some bangers.
that scream there was crazy brutal
Well, 4 years later, the next album exists now. What did you think? Personally, I found his vocal efforts to be the best part of 72S.
THANK YOU FOR existing JAMES HETFIELD. ..............
and Metallica!
Watching this makes me feel so much more confident as a singer. James is human, and his voice sometimes cracks and hits flats/sharps and stumbles. It's about how much effort and time you dedicate to a performance that makes it great.
1:58 awesomeee
I love how he changed his voice in the beginning. 😍😉😈🤘🏻
The fucking man, the only, the Icon of Metal.
My dream video came true
Better Version of the Vide ;) ---> ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=CiiCqIBaHhQ
That second scream though in the beginning lol
0:10 they should’ve used that specific part, that scream was brutal
Loved the flag on the background. Can't wait to see them again, here in Brazil.
0:17
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT THE HEEEEEEEEEEEEELL
Helium for high harmonies i guess.
He just turned himself into Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. 😂
R.I.P.
song name plssssssssssssssssssssss

When James can't sing without having a guitar in his hands
there are people who struggle to sing and play guitar at the same time and there are james hetfield, dave mustaine, mikael akerfeldt, john gallagher, just to name a few
I don't know if you play guitar but for people that sing and play, it helps you stay in tune
@AJB3 or making sure he can play and sing it at the same time so they know if they have to simplify it on the record that way when they do live performances their not simplifying the album version
He should do some choreographic things with a mic stand. Like Robert Plant, David Coverdale or Ian Gillan.
I'm really crazy for this guy ❤❤❤❤
0:23 Im dying 😂
6:15 Axl Rose sound
More like bruce dickinson
GrexMarvelousFilms Lox nothing like Dickinson.
Pff Stupid
Didn’t make the record. So much focus on what he should “sound” like that they didn’t stop to think that this was suitable for the record
Axl Rose without a falsetto
I love James H.😜🤘🔥
wow that's so fun
0:17 He sounded like Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. 😂😂😂😂
RIP
He really didn't
Обожаю этого старика :)
legend right here ❤️
0:21 - 0:43 was that the parody of Lulu? XD
No, that's Elvis Presley possessing James Hetfield.
Lmao
Sounded more like Peter Steele
I want hardwired in that style XD
Sounds like Michael Gira
Listen to the first live shows to now, he has gone from ordinary vocally to incredible vocally. Always a legend, his vocals have always suited the sound of the band at the time. One of a kind!
0:47, what´s the name of that song??
Now that we're dead :))

0:22 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the best singer all time ... to me ...live no so good but ok .. james voice studio insane good...
CHRIS Msantos great English buddy
I really miss thar 95-99 voice, really strong and manly
If I could do one thing... it would be to go back to 1990 and tell James to look after his voice before he fucked it up so be could sing like live still! Still had it when the old boy needs it
Luke Hands he’s actually been sounding much better live lately.
Where is Here Comes Revenge , Am I Savage and Halo On Fire parts?
---> ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=CiiCqIBaHhQ
Waiting for Lars compilation !
Lars Ulrich vocals only ? XD
Hahaha, That will be too tough. :D Am I Evil is enough. :)
I can wait!!!!
Milanicachannel Oh yeah XD
Are these actual album takes or just for demo purpouses? Cause it really wonders me that he has the track in the room PA and strungs strigs all the time. I'm pretty sure that some of it is gonna be taken by the SM7B even though it is dynamic mike right???
My guess is it is barely picked up.
0:17 how?!
lung
Singing lessons
He sounds really good. I've been saying this for years, but I wish he would do just ONE concert in the modern era where he gives a studio level effort on the vocals. Yes it will hurt his throat and he won't be able to sing for awhile but it would be worth it. I've never understood why he doesn't do this for important shows like say the hall of fame show.
His voice was shot for the hall of fame show, so making it worse wouldn't be very smart, the guy is nearly 60 and can still put on a great show, with flashes of the old voice but mainly being careful so he can actually get up and sing, I prefer that to him being in pain personally
are u serious?
Definitely not worth it
There have been years here and there where he did exactly that. 2012-2013 he was essentially using the Hardwired voice every night, that was the time period where he first really went back to his old style of singing. '14-'15 was ok, but in the 2016 thru mid-2017 shows, he really did sound like this almost every show.
Me gusta ver que James se siente más cómodo cantando con su guitarra. De esa forma fluye su voz
Is he using that Sm7b bare with no pop filter? I struggle with plosives even with my pop filter on
you can de pop and de s in post production
0:21 Bauhaus version
does anyone know what kind of microphone james is using to record vocals??????????????????????????????????????????
That's a Shure SM7B
The murder one woahs and yeahhhh were top notch, classic James to not skimp on those haha
hysterical screams at the beginning XD
0:33 whistle fart
thank you for this
3:08 🔥
4:44 Lol
Oh que bien no habia visto el making de las de mas canciones solo de hardwired
hetfield was godblessed in the 80s with such a powerfull voice without great technique... when it was over he serieously had to learn singing..
this is just ...making off...so we'll forgive the off pitch notes and the strained voice on higher notes :) love his low register though and admire him alot for being a great musician!
7:00 Metllica jajajajaja
Como conseguiste los demas Making de las Otras canciones??
Daniel Diaz están en el canal de MetallicaTV
Где можно найти эту песню metallica 0:21 отрывок побольше?
3:02 Haha sounds like that song from South Parks 1999 movie.
WAKE
0:18 when you hit your baby toe in the nightstand
I swear I remember seeing a clip of him singing with a clean tone "yeah eah oh" but I can't find it.
4:22???
\m/ METAL cool
METAL \m/
0:21 James may from top gear belike
Oranssi Pazuzu shirt 👌
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Vocals only?
0:30 Johnny Cashfield
Using a fans flag as a sound booth baffle. Love it
I scoured YT so I could find ONE person that could sing Metallica like Metallica, it seems this dude is the only one, love his voice, unique and powerful
Correct, only Hetfield can sing Metallica like Metallica BUT there is this band called Orbit Culture whose vocalist has Hetfield's peak voice. Check out the songs Mirrorslave or Open Eye
best recebt vocals were on garage inc
Nice Oranssi Pazuzu shirt
dave mustaine version 2:54😂😂😂
0:18 the song would be even better if he did that
He actually did. If you hear carefully, it's in the background of the last 'Atlas, Rise!' of the song, it works as a harmonization.
YeAh
YEAH YEAH lyrics lol
From this video you can see that James is both a really good singer and a not so good singer.
Was het taking a piss at lou Reed?😂
0:10 90s
😮
where is he lol
Time traveler!
song name 0:17 ?????
atlas rise
Atlas Rise. He's literally saying rise.
I Wish he had a bit less of Pop Singing and more Metal Distorted Singing on this Album same with Death Magnetic just a bit less for that and a bit more for the other. I Wish this Album had No Unnecessary Riffs and Less of Long Songs. These Songs Aren’t Bad, but they are Mediocre and Repetitive. They Really Should Delve into More Creativity and Less Mediocrity. I But they Worked Their Asses off on Making this Album. But Come on Guys I Wish you Guys could give us More Creativity or whatever it is that’s missing. I Don’t Mind this Album, but it could’ve used adjusting.
That Ladies and Gentlemen is some unhealthy Singing
Who cares Sounds Great: D
Danyjeff in the early years it was, but I read that he's had vocal training over the past decade, which makes sense. I'm a classically trained singer who grew up listening to these guys, and I can hear how the training is helping him reproduce the vintage, raspy Papa Het sound the fans love and miss in a vocally sustainable way that doesn't lay waste to his vocal cords.
Ileana Santamaria yeah but many Singers push Their voice the unhealthy Way in the studio because they have Control over how long they're doing it so they are less likely to damage Their voice. Thats Why some Singers sound waaaaay better in the studio .
And i Think James is doing the same or is at least pushing it more cause ive Never heard him with this much grit in a live Performance (After '92)
I'd rather see the BAD takes
Thanks for the white flag "Brazil"
f Lars. Napster killer haha. jk - well not really
