The cabinets turned out amazing, I can't belive how good they looked in the end, and yes the dark wax and the black/bronce antique style handles worked perfectly together, while keeping it a light colored piece (not super dark and rustic) I would love to have this exactly as it is
@theflippedpiece yes ..I have an oil painting of the arc de triomphe held up by korbels...and I'm slicing one that was an architectural find in a dump pile...I'm slicing it in two to create end pieces for a narrow table addition to my dining room for extra seating...I have a big family...I'm 70 and I go go go and have been crowned the matriarch of my family as I hold true to all the food and ethnic traditions I admire all your work and your family should be very, very proud of ypu
I'm so jealous! You have a whole workshop! I do little things here and there. I'll buy old dressers or tables and sand and paint or cover with vinyl but this is a big job! I've been looking around for shoe storage for my husband's shoes. Your project wouldn't work cuz it seems you had to squeeze your shoes in there. No way would my husband's size 14 shoes fit. It did come out great.
You did a really good job! I just found that these units are such a waste of space though. They take up a lot of room to only hold a couple pairs of shoes, especially men’s shoes. We ditched ours after just a few months.
Great result, but you obviously know what you’re doing and also have all the tools of the trade. Not everyone has those in their homes. I actually have an Ikea shoe cabinet in my hallway next to my bathroom (a bigger version with four compartment) A carpenter fitted it to the wall for me (I’m old!) and cut it to fit over the baseboard. I live in a very tiny apartment with not much storage space, and I use this shoe cabinet to store rolled up towels.
The shoe cabinet turned out great, the wood on top with the finishing darker wax look beautiful as well as the styling on top of the cabinet. I have one question... what is the material around the mirror? It looks beautiful, but what is it?
Love what you did with the cabinets! My only thing with these cabinets (I have them too) is they are very bad quality, the compartments don't open/close easily, they are not sturdy - although I think you secured them to the wall which will help definitely. But overall, IKEA doesn't have that quality, which I think is worthwhile. Just my honest opinion.
Using $50k equipment in $50k garage to repurpose $300 Ikea shoe storage... It will be better to do the whole thing by yourself or easier to hire someone to build it for you

Thank you! I tried my best to make them feel “homey” with a little rustic touch but still fresh! I love it!! You should try to make one!
It's beautiful l really like it. No one would ever know that it was an original IKEA unit. Again another great transformation.
Love the rustic top piece! You did an amazing job - and decorated it perfectly!
Thanks so much! 😊 the top was the perfect final touch?
Beautiful piece! I love how simple and customized it turned out!
Thank you! It was surprisingly easy - you should make one!
AWESOME! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED FOR ALL MY 36 PAIRS OF SHOES.
This is such an awesome idea!!
Glad you think so! You should make one!
I love it ! I wish I could do exactly what you did to make it myself .❤
You can do it! I promise you can! Just set out a few days aside and slowly take your time and you got this!! 🙌🏻
Well done! I'd never have guessed it was Ikea looking at the end-result.
Gorgeous!
Thank you! Cheers!
Yes, this is what I’m looking for!! It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Marvelous job!!!
Thank you!!🎉🎉
Great job...you are so talented
FYI the korbels turned long side down make great easels for holding art or mirrors 😊
I love that idea for the Korbels! Thank you! Do you use them in alot of home decor?

I love your projects!! ❤
Love it 😻😻
Thank you! Wanna make one too?
@@theflippedpiece absolutely 👍🏻 not at the moment as I’ve got other projects lined up, hopefully later in the year.
Wow, impressive!!
Looks great!
How did you know I was searching for IKEA shoe storage today 😮
Wait what?! No way!!! If that is true then this video is actually fate for you! 😂
You have been coming up with some great looking ideas. Love your shoe storage unit. Love the color.

😂 WOW !!! ❤🎉😍💃🏼
Thank you! 🎉
Perfect! ❤
How did you do the marking at 1:05? What is there attached to the pencil?
I used a scribe!

That’s a great idea, I’m elderly and have a very small bathroom, if I bought one I’d probably tear the baseboard off to make it fit 😅
Blessings 💚💜
Well done
Amazing ❤

Wow🤗❤️❤️❤️
Wow!
Having three shoe cupboards in your front entrance smells really nice??????😩🤪😜 but superb installation!!
If you dont use for shoes, can be used for arts, sewing, and crafts items.
Wow!!+
Do you caulk the very bottom of drawers and tile floor?
I did not no!
"EASY"???? 😂
🥵🥵😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Easier than building from scratch.... a custom built in... yeah...
So easy even an influencer can do it
Look great, but for my girlfriend Shoes i need 20 of this 😂
Hahah you and always attach more shoe cabinets together and make a longer one! 😂
@@theflippedpiece for the Guniess Book 😂
@@theflippedpieceor just stack it on top?
Wow
Super
Beautiful, but click-bait to say this is "easy"
Easy? With a tool shop and being a semi-
professional to professionalmaybe. Beautiful result by the way.
🌟🌟🌟👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
You remove the base board where the cabinet goes…..duh!
1:10,
Easy are you marking us 😅😅
