I tried it. And I felt in love with it. This bike is alive!
You can adjust the flashing red LED rev light easily, it’s in the manual.
They set them low at the factory for the running-in period. Once it's run-in, set it to 6800 rpm (or whatever you want!)
Nice review man! I own one of these and they are just super to own. I find it really unbelievable that the dealer doesn't tell the people( when testriding) that they set the flashlight at 4500 rpm from factory. These machines need to be ridden in first..... When ridden in then you set it at about 6800 rpm......ciao ciao greetings from the Netherlands
These are a great upgrade to the old V7. I test rode one and the smiles per miles were even better than the older models. Throw the spec sheet in the bin. Spec sheets don't tell you how much fun you'll actually have.
I love mine it’s beautiful to ride and own and feels so special to ride.. every ride is a brilliant lovely memory 😊 I’ve owned many bikes and makes over the 30+ years I have in riding experience and the Guzzi is just beautiful.. Pete ❤
I got one in 2022 and I love it, I love the way it chatters along, not a pocket rocket by any means it’ll happily do 70 on the motorway. I heard that the rev limiter light is set low for running in and can be adjusted up once that’s done. In my opinion it’s a great bike for the cash it’s a bike that has over a hundred years of heritage and again in my opinion that iconic engine.
This is a great looking bike. Always was. Rode it. Guzzis are always something special. :)
I had a 2017 V7 III Special. She was a beauty.
I had a T3 850 back in the 80's, this is pretty much the uodated T3/4/5. Think the V7 750 was the small block V twin derrived from the old V50, V65 etc...?
Yes, it is. the whole drive train is derrived from the V50/V65.
The 2021 model doesn't have distress lights button
Is the weight top heavy or is it low down
low down my friend ;-)
Is that a Tardis behind you?
I guess you already know the tardis is blue so I will explain just the similarity in shape: the tardis exterior is set as an old Police call box, those were like miniature police offices with a telephone, so it made sense to have them be similar to the public phone booth of the time, this is true for an older design too. That red one is just a normal old phone booth
Moto woodie for sure😂
Mine just hit the 10.000 KM and got serviced.
The bike gets better over time and is a lot smoother now. I love riding it and it turns a lot of heads. I also start seeing more and more guzzi on the road
My last bike was a Triumph T120, I actually enjoy the Guzzi more.
Much prettier than ANY of the so called retros. Once you hang a big slab of a radiator on any bike ...you've lost me. The Guzzi looks authentic....the others do not.
Agree....a beautiful machine. If it combined its spokes with tubeless rims, I'd consider buying it.....but tubed tyres are a pain if punctured. I prefer the looks of the Special to the cast wheeled basic V7 (odd looking headlight and single clock), but, please MotoGuzzi, give us a tubeless spoked rim.
Fair call. Tubes are a pain. But I have to say, I have 100,000km on both my bikes with spoked tubed rims and I have had one puncture in nearly ten years.
You can turn a spoked rim into a tubeless rim by gluing a rubber strip inside the rim (on the heads of spokes). It's quite reliable if you verify the presure of air as often as possible.
Changing the rear shocks on modern Moto Guzzi's transforms them incredibly. Even a cheap basic set of rear shocks and this V7 will handle like it's on rails. Love Guzzi's, just wish they stopped cheaping out on the rear shocks from the factory.
Tubeless tyres witout the spokes would be a good idea for punctures.
Or tubeless rims with spokes, like my old V Strom 650XT and some BMWs.
That's what the Stone version comes with
Beautiful bike… I wish they had tried to disguise the fact that the rear light is LEDs… I don’t mind LEDs but at least make an effort to make it look in keeping with the classic vibe.. it’s jarring against the rest of the styling.. although I prefer this over the base model..
Agreed! I cant stand that awfully styled LED tail light on such a classic looking bike! It was the first thing I noticed when I looked at one.
The flashing shift light is set for the engine break-in period. During the initial 900 mile service the technician can change that to the engines actual redline RPM. I have the 2022 V7 Special and it is a super sweet machine. These bikes are more Harley than Honda, as long as a potential buyer understands that they'll be happy owning a V7.
What do you mean by more Harley than Honda?
@@chrisfrantz2674 The Moto Guzzi is a pushrod V-twin like Harley's, it has a separate engine and gearbox like Harley's, it has a shaft drive, Harley's have belt drive, not chain final drive like Japanese bikes. The gearbox is clunky like a Harley. The V7 is an excellent bike, I have one, but it is not like Japanese motorcycles.
@@SPSteve Oh ok that makes sense. Thanks, I didn't know that.
Seriously? You can’t even be bothered to find out about the rev light and why it’s at 4500rpm at the odometer reading you have on the bike? There are plenty of so called influencers out there who know the details, and probably have far more subscribers.
Thanks a lot for the review.... Love it espetialy in this colors, ready to order ❤
The point at which the change gear indicator comes on is programmable !!.
Thank you.
Considering trading my bonneville in for one of these. I can’t believe I didn’t consider one of these before.
If you are going to review something, then a first step is to learn how to pronounce the product you are reviewing. It's not hard.
The my Guzzi blue color ,have all full optional...is my favorite!🥰🤩👍
mo guzi has soul most enjoyable ride
Couldn't understand what you said about the suspension at 2:20 ..sounded like "if you're looking for canair suspension look elsewhere" ...but the accent is too foreign to me to understand the word you used, "canair" ..what are you saying?
I think he says: "If you look for cutting edge suspensions, look elsewhere". Admittedly, it's hard to understand but that makes perfect sense knowing the type of bike and the fact that many comments here complain about those.
Great motorcycle 👍🏽
Does the Special not have the LED headlight with the ‘eagle’ across it then .. LED indicators etc., ?
No. The Special is the retro model. The Stone has the modern LED stuff and LCD gauge.
nice video, is this bike good enough and usually commutingfriendly? foor daily use and weekend Turing? which one? this or Truimph T100
Any way great video
Be safe & God bless
You really need to ride both to decide what's right for you. In my opinion both make fantastic commuters and weekend touring bikes. The main difference is the V7 will be more characterful, while the T100 will be smoother. I feel the T100 is a slightly better build quality, but the V7 is a bit easier to service.
thank you for your message, I went to a motorcycle fair( salon in Nederland)and saw both bikes up close, heard that Triumph is of better quality than Guzzi, I am interested in the Speed twin 900
Thanks again & God bless
@@petroosabdollahian1648 fantastic choice. You'll love it. The transmission on the Triumph is much nicer too, I forgot to mention.
Same capacity motor as the rally bike but somehow makes 20 less horsepower riddle me that
Torque curve.
I asked my dealer the same question. He said they have diffrent heads, not sue if hes was just bsing me or not.
85 is a strong number, had a 900 SSSP making 72, loved it, now I have 209, can't use it, nuts
yes big numbers are fun but you really cant use them (my thoughts anyways). I have a 2023 V7 Stone and more than happy with the power in day to day riding.@@tomkarnes69
@@ridelikekrum7707 , hope they are not still your dealer. It is from a different state of tune and possibly different cam profiles.
The most boring design a motorcycle could have is this one. Flat, big, out of proportion.
Best looking bike on the planet!
Please offer wire spoked tubeless rims and tubeless tyres as standard 🙏
❤guzzi😊
Untill you'll see W800 Kawasaki 😊
