As ever, thanks so much Kevin for this very helpful series on choosing a strum. It really is helping me to improve my strumming and learn how to figure out which pattern to use. All best wishes.
A fab series Kevin, thank you. I have followed you for ages and will definitely get around to purchasing one of your memberships, they’re great value xx
Glad you enjoyed it, Lea. I really wanted to spend more time playing along together in this video. Did you have a favorite strum from this series? - Kevin | www.allforuke.com
I love the standard island strum with a chuck but I like this chord progression played both quickly and slowly. The ukulele has been a Godsend during this time. Learning is a natural antidepressant 😉
I had a lot of fun with this one and learned some things myself in my research. Did you have a favorite strum pattern? All the best to you - Kevin | www.allforuke.com
Great series. Thank you!!! Now I can do strumming by itself, but still getting lost when song starts. Any advice? I wish you had more examples of songs (strumming and singing or with a music track). Thanks again!
You’re very welcome. Any strumming patterns you liked in particular? Keep in touch and if you’re interested in pdfs and practice playalong tracks for these strumming patterns, drop by my site. All the best - Kevin | www.allforuke.com
Hi Kevin, I love these strum patterns BUT I'm playing the Baritone so I get mixed up when I see the regular tenor or soprano chords. Do you have a course on strumming with Baritone chords? Thanks for making the ukulele so fun! ( I played the guitar as a child which is why I chose the Baritone.)
Thanks so much, Linda! If you're looking for more learning resources including song sheets/tabs, lesson exercises, practice tracks and dedicated play alongs, drop by the AllForUke website and have a look around. All the best - Kevin | Allforuke.com
Hi Kevin, Thank you so much for this so clear and instructive serie. I have a question : I don’t understand the difference between the 3/4 and the 6/4 time signature… I would have understood that it would be 3 beats per mesure and 6 beats per mesure, but with the ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ x2 per chord for the 6/4 example would have thought it would be ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ per chord, then if it is x2 per chord, it would have been ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️ ??? (Am I making myself clear ?… oups…)
merci beaucoup tu m'aides énormément!! thank you so much all your videos help me a lot!!
