I've taken enough ketamine to know that twomad was definitely turning his brain to soup at the rate of a speed runner. It's scary to think of how bad his mental and physical state must have been near the end.
I think that dilutes the problem and makes it very surface level. History repeats itself, unless we understand it. Seek to understand truly so we can heal as a species.
Ive watched tom for awhile now, and I knew he was a good investigator. But I never realized how good of an interviewer he was. Insanely good at phrasing accusatory questions without offending twomad. Like literally no one else has gotten him to talk.

I met Twomad multiple times when he was in Australia, every time I met him he was a delight and I was around him for hours at a time (at industry and creator events) I'm not sure if he was in a good place at the time, or it was a weird manipulative tactic. But he was polite, albeit loud and pretty obscure/random. Even as a woman he never made me uncomfortable or said anything out of pocket towards me. Part of me is happy that this is my personal memory and experience of him. But, my heart breaks for everyone who got the bad side of him.
Since he was a frequent ketamine user it could have been some sort of drug induced psychosis. It seems like he was mentally gone after he disappeared from UA-cam in 2020. That being said, it still doesn’t justify all the terrible stuff he did. If drug psychosis is the case, it’s entirely self inflicted
No matter if Twomad is innocent or guilty, listening to the ramblings of a mentally unstable person dying from fent and copiuous amounts of ketamine is heartbreaking.

As someone who used to be a close friend of his from 2017-2020, I just want to state that Twomad chose to be alone. He had plenty of close friends early in his career that he kept abusing and pushing away. He wasn't always like that. He used to play games with us, hang out in VC, have some deep conversations. Eventually he just stopped doing that and became much more colder, inconsiderate, and completely unreasonable. I don't know if he was or wasn't on drugs during that time since he didn't really talk about it (other than weed), but in the end he pushed all of us away.
Yea depression does that to a mf fr, had a friend push everyone else away in his life before he committed. Bottom line is you aren’t that person so you have no idea what’s going on in their head. We don’t know what actions he committed and what actions he didn’t. With no proof it’s hard to swing in either direction.
In my case years ago it was paranoia, depression, betrayal. 😀 All at the same time when I was 18, right now only my genetic predisposition to paranoia remains. But yeh, even without drugs you can become your own worst enemy.
What a surprise! Someone in an addiction and depression refusing help! I mean come on i think it is kinda obvious that he would never accept help because that is how sadly things go down, and of course nobody is pointing fingers at you for not making a whole world just to help him but saying that he "chose to be alone" is the same as saying "he wanted to be addicted and ill", it simple is not true and it was just a slow result of his many problems :/

Twomad was a genuinely unhinged person who needed a lot of help and likely hurt a lot of people, physically or otherwise. But all of these vague, unsupported allegations undermine anything he actually did since that now can be lumped together with the unsupported implications. As for James, I think it started as him genuinely believing there were crimes being committed, but now he can’t accept that it wasn’t as bad as he thought. So now James has to keep escalating to justify his own crusade against someone who can no longer defend himself, even though Twomad’s supposed victims are saying the allegations are false. Watched it already, and I’ll say what I said again, this was prolly the realest turkey man video I’ve seen, the level of effort and the obvious emotional connection to the story made for my favorite piece by Tom. It’s really evident now that the internet as we have known it is changing so drastically that it’s unrecognizable compared to what it once was, with the downfall of so many creators through their own means or through the platforms they’ve used neutering them, or just some of the great ogs retiring from the internet as a whole is just so sad, we are at the end of an era. But idk this new ones got some cool stuff too, jynxi, casoh, Kai, sketch, and some of the other guys like them are taking the torch building themselves to be the ogs of future generations, it’s not really a bad thing but watching it all happen and thinking back to good old days while doing so is just so so so surreal and sad and honestly gut wrenching seeing some of these guys fall so hard, but I hold hope this new era can evolve into something as cool as the last one.✌️💙

I think even speed and Kai for example are pretty solid and acceptably funny, but the fact that they are the OG’S!!… of future generations (I was born at the turn of the century 😩) is very sad in comparison to the early and beginning youtube/online entertainment space that people around my age got to experience… It’s so sad that this upcoming generation never experienced the gold that was the earliest begginngs of youtube and so on!😔😩😢 I miss even early smosh and pewdiepie type content even though I didn’t like pewdiepie just smosh at the time… but the unhinged and silly drama etc was so awesome at the time… 😔
The last half hour of this video is so important and paints Jameskii as a pretty blatantly paranoid guy who made up just as much of what he said about Twomad as the parts that we can all see were true. I'm sad all the context of the rest of the video had to be layed out first since I don't think the people who will most need to see the important stuff will have the attention span to sit through the rest of it.
As an alcoholic fool who's gotten over dxm addiction and a bad weed addiction, I really connect with this. I have been down and back, and being addicted to something, it makes you into a person you are disgusted with. I'm sure if twomad saw the person he had become, even if had joked about it and memed his situation, deep inside he'd hate who he had become. I do miss the rage.
Quitting xans was the hardest thing I've ever done, I was up to 20+ a day, so unhealthy to the point I couldn't eat and was very anorexic. Twomad was nasty while alive but no one deserves to live like that or die from it.

Seeing this for the first time, well 1. James looks like a sketchy asshole and the reason for this almost r/thathappen level stories are concerning, and the people celebrating his death were, while somewhat I get it, are rather disguisting in their own right 2. Personally while I pity Twomad, as someone who for a long time has also felt alone, tbh is also rather difficult to feel all that mad when he did almost everything to alienate himself from others. Is frustrating how he took everything like a meme, even legitimate concerns. You could argue is because of the drugs, but is still rather gratting. He needed someone to metaphorically and literally slapped him back to reality, but he did his darnest to avoid that
I hate to see anyone go down the hole of drug addiction, especially if they don't have someone who cared enough to try and pull them back. Every addict thinks that nothing bad will ever happen to them. It's tragic whenever anyone that young dies.

Thanks for telling the whole story in the most unbiased way you could despite the allegations both post passing and before. I think he was a very good comedian who had undiagnosed mental illness no doubt due to fallacy in our mental health system and got lost in the sauce due to drugs and otherwise. Rest in peace to Bro. May he redeem himself in the next life. And may people let him rest in peace and not be swayed by the media to demonize his time here.
He should have been found to need to help regardless of whether he knew how real he needed it. I believe he was and is misunderstood. He obviously grew up lonely and found fame through his own ingenuity and then found that he was still lonely. He was given addicting drugs when he tried to find help and that stimulation transformed into substance abuse. He was probably misdiagnosed and under-helped in his treatment. He used his situation to fuel his comedic irony and to produce content to make other laugh and know it was okay and fucking hilarious to be the weird kid… it’s just that his irony of life seemed to have progressed into a fantasy with death as his addiction and or mental illnesses progressed. He was a smart man dealt a weird hand and unfortunately was not ready for The world to fuck him anally the way it did. I pray that those who are and were inspired by his charisma when he was himself are not swayed by his life’s trajectory and are able to keep the inspiration and passion he had for his life when he was happy to be in it. It is a sad sight to see, especially for the first time. But, unfortunately it isn’t as uncommon as you may think, though our system makes it seem so. I witnessed my step mother have a schizophrenic breakdown as a young kid and it isn’t something you can understand with rational thoughts, as it’s unrational in nature. You have to know that it was out of his or anyone’s control lest he was medicated and helped early through his breakdown and even then he most likely would have taken years to recover. I think his jokes of schizophrenia are more than jokes and I suspect he did have a schizo-affective or personality disorder which progressed into a breakdown due to drugs or not in which he lost himself. Rest in peace. His pain is no joke and his stable soul will get a chance to redeem itself.

@@brxcket He made millions of people laugh because he was a funny dude. He also didn't keep a dungeon full of kids or kidnap women to keep them in his garage while doing it. Because you don't personally find him funny, he's bad? Because he pulled practical pranks on Zoom, he was bad? He'd probably agree, but compared to where he worked (entertainment), it wasn't just tame: it was actually in line with standup comedy. Gilbert Gottfried mocked 9/11 in a club, less than a month after it happened, in downtown Manhattan. Calling a trans* girl a "girlfriend" might be "too soon" I guess, but it's certainly not beyond the pale for blue comedy. I think it's nice though that the man I laughed with and enjoyed watching will forever be immortalized in the Internet. But I feel conflicted because of the people he hurt. It's weird to feel a disconnect, to feel that he's two different people even though it was a gradual thing.
I remember I started watching his content when he was still doing the OW edits, cuz it was right about when I started playing the game. Extremely sad that he passed so young, even if he wasn't a good person or had major issues, I wish we could've seen him turn it all around and redeem himself.
The thing that gets me is that he never has a chance to improve himself. As in people normally go through valleys and peaks, and I can only imagine his mom praying her boy will make it out of this hole he made for himself, but turns out the hole was his grave. :(

I met Twomad multiple times when he was in Australia, every time I met him he was a delight and I was around him for hours at a time (at industry and creator events)
I'm not sure if he was in a good place at the time, or it was a weird manipulative tactic.

They may look happy and cheerful but only they know what they are feeling behind closed doors. I wanna make it clear I’m not defending two mad either.
Unfortunately that's extremely common with depression AND drug abuse. Even when people *do* reach out, it's not always wanted

I appreciate y’all’s comments a lot bc they’re thoughts I heavily agreed with, being alone during a mental unraveling is terrifying to me and the future being unknown is also a slight fear I have, but the hoping for a better future is so much stronger than both of those fears and I believe we all should have something like that pushing us forward. Drugs fucking suck. I really wish he was able to get the help he needed, and I could only imagine how different his life may have been now if he had taken the advice and care people were trying to offer him when given the chance. He was broken.
May he rest in peace
how am i getting emotional over an i miss the rage edit of twomad? he was a messed up dude but man was he hilarious.
I was saying the same thing. I really start to feel like shit when it plays the clip of him incoherently tripping out
you bunch are emotional like women. you will never see the real damage, with your petty feelings. shame on people like this
Redditors celebrated Tom's video getting deleted and seriously refer to him as the "Leafy" of today's youtube generation. A man who puts out meticulously researched 30 minute to hour long documentaries about often controversial people is apparently equivalent to a dude who made 10 minute roasts about literal children. They also proudly proclaimed not watching any of his videos so as to not "support" him in any way. Well, that explains it 🤡
Can you really be surprised? reddit is a site full of pseudo- intellectual morons who think they're better than everyone else.
@@Lockmeupforthatbangerthe internet in general adopts this behavior, its so adopted in our culture as a species we feel theres no accountability to our actions, weather u were as unstable as twomad or publicly congratulating that someone died. humans are genuinely disgusting. just remember not to lose who you are or become and check on people you actually care about. speak up. oh yea and don’t be chronically online that goes for everyone. its a real problem

tbf Tom's had his fair share of controversies, I don't think freely dishing out the n word and other slurs in dms is okay, and his videos tend to be a little biased at times, however there's definetly an effort being put into the research here and dismissing actually good points cause you hate the guy is just stupid

Rubs me the wrong way that Tom was talking about Grape like she wanted it. Like he was feeding twomad the lines.
I was gonna watch it yesterday but couldn’t find I’m so glad it back up
Seeing this for the first time, well
1. James looks like a sketchy asshole and the reason for this almost r/thathappen level stories are concerning, and the people celebrating his death were, while somewhat I get it, are rather disguisting in their own right
2. He needed someone to metaphorically and literally slapped him back to reality, but he did his darnest to avoid that
This stuff could have probably never happened if twomad had more of a community around him personally that would make him get help
I hate to see anyone go down the hole of drug addiction, especially if they don't have someone who cared enough to try and pull them back. Every addict thinks that nothing bad will ever happen to them. It's tragic whenever anyone that young dies.
It's fucking crazy to see him use being a virgin to defend not understanding consent. If you don't comprehend consent you shouldn't be having sex anyway
Yeah, this exactly.
There's no such thing as "not understanding consent" as an adult lmao it's such is stupid excuse. We learn the basics of human consent when we are literal children.
The guy was mentally ill he wasn’t normal
Reminiscing about twomads prime makes me miss the guy he was so much dude.
James was Twomad that he died.

this was so beautifully put together

Thanks for telling the whole story in the most unbiased way you could despite the allegations both post passing and before. I think he was a very good comedian who had undiagnosed mental illness no doubt due to fallacy in our mental health system and got lost in the sauce due to drugs and otherwise. Rest in peace to
Bro.
He was a smart man dealt a weird hand and unfortunately was not ready for
The world to fuck him anally the way it did. His pain is no joke and his stable soul will get a chance to redeem itself.
good video. very in depth, doesn't take away from his early glory but also no ignorance of his later straight up crimes. best video ive seen representing twomad and its what his legacy deserves, glad this didn't get pushed away in history. twomad was horrible and spiralling in the end but also deserves a looking into for sure. subscribed
I already watched that part, UA-cam. You can't make me unwatch it.
What was it about?
@@Savanty Tom included footage that Twomad secretly took of his bedroom ceiling. In it, he's talking with the girl about their encounters. It wasn't a big deal. UA-cam claimed it promoted SA I guess.

Jameskii sounds like he was obsessed with Twomad's downfall to the point where he hired a private investigator to find something to ruin his life. What a creep.

I think TwoMad can serve as a warning lesson to young people on the internet that simply pretending to be on top of the world and pretending to be invincible does not mean you are
And many times over, it ends up being the exact opposite
What I like about Tom is that I’ve never heard of so many of these people but I’ll still watch the whole video. Thanks, Tom!
Hardest twomad memorial there at the end. 🎵I miss the rage🎵
It really is tragic how Brudda Twomad was lonely from the beginning, skyrocketed, internet fame got to him, he went back to where he started, and was never more alone and just died.
I can't even imagine the tragic thoughts going threw his head....😢
@@magemash2390 IM SO SORRY BUT THE WAY YOU SAID “THREW” INSTEAD OF “THROUGH” LMAOOOO
Sure, he was alone. At the same time, he still wasn’t that much of a good person. I think we can still feel bad for him without idolizing him.
@brxcket good person or not he was someone who was struggling and very clearly needed help, he was 23 and deeply disturbed, his content provided joy to hundreds of thousands if not millions of people, and as someone who struggles with many mental illnesses and loneliness myself I relate to him deeply. There were so many clear cries for help that were just brushed off and made into jokes. Wherever he has found himself beyond the life he lived I hope he is able to find peace.
@@brxcket He made millions of people laugh because he was a funny dude.
He also didn't keep a dungeon full of kids or kidnap women to keep them in his garage while doing it. Given the standards of the entertainment industry, historically speaking, that's well above board. What else do you think a "good person" qualifies as? Because you don't personally find him funny, he's bad? Because he pulled practical pranks on Zoom, he was bad? He'd probably agree, but compared to where he worked (entertainment), it wasn't just tame: it was actually in line with standup comedy.
Gilbert Gottfried mocked 9/11 in a club, less than a month after it happened, in downtown Manhattan. Calling a trans* girl a "girlfriend" might be "too soon" I guess, but it's certainly not beyond the pale for blue comedy. It's ribald, crass, and lacking in taste but it's also perfectly cromulent comedy.
That doesn't make him bad though. By the standards of the entertainment industry, and especially L.A., twomad was a perfectly stand up, moral person. By the standards of normal people, he was a crass, but funny, dude with a nasty drug habit and some emotional issues.
James’ writing sounds so fake outraged “I’m literally crying and shaking and SO scared while writing this you guys”
Saw the original post, i support you big homie o7, if the story wasn't so dark it would almost be sad. I feel bad for the guy in a sense because no one deserves to be alone, I don't know what all he had going on but being alone to fester didn't help surely.

I will miss the old twomad, and I'll always feel sorrow or some poetic shit for the man he turned into.
He was unhinged, and that made me laugh. It's just surreal that he's gone, I feel like right now I could just get up and go watch a new video but if I did it just wouldn't be there.
I think it's nice though that the man I laughed with and enjoyed watching will forever be immortalized in the Internet. But I feel conflicted because of the people he hurt.
It's weird to feel a disconnect, to feel that he's two different people even though it was a gradual thing.
glad you got it back up!!
That's what she said
I remember I started watching his content when he was still doing the OW edits, cuz it was right about when I started playing the game. Extremely sad that he passed so young, even if he wasn't a good person or had major issues, I wish we could've seen him turn it all around and redeem himself.
Twomad died twice. Once from drugs & the other from an overdose
Bro what 😭
Absolutely beautiful work Tom. F UA-cam for taking this down
I say your channel is very entertaining and I really enjoy the way you are factual and organized . Well done with this one.
The thing that gets me is that he never has a chance to improve himself. As in people normally go through valleys and peaks, and I can only imagine his mom praying her boy will make it out of this hole he made for himself, but turns out the hole was his grave. :(
Social media really has a knack of giving clout to the most unstable people out there
It's pretty evil how platforms like YT provide all the resources for unstable narcissistic people to ruin themselves while making money off them.
In traditional show business no one would be having his antics and he'd get plentiful wake up calls he couldn't ignore. What does YT or Twitch care if a video creator vomits and passes out in his own basement?
Social media rewards vanity and unstable people
It existed before as lolcows, and the like. It's just entertaining, like a car crash. That's why there is always new people to fill that need we have, to see someone behave abnormally. Adam Sandler movies are the mainstream example. Heck one can even say comic relief character are a diet version of this.
Social media makes things trend according to how much engagement they get. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad, as long as it's engaging.
People love seeing others spiraling out of control for entertainment.
