My girlfriend & I won a tour there with Waitrose & it was unbelievable. Once again thanks to Max who was our tour guide. Oh & don’t forget the amazing dining experience with of course a Remy. 👍🇬🇧
Remy Martin presents “100 Years- The Movie You Will Never See- Premieres November 2115.” 😂😂😂. I wonder when tickets go on sale 🤣🤣. Seriously speaking, this is a really, really nice video, Julien. The Remy Martin headquarters is really something, isn’t it? Anyway, Cheers! Enjoy your cognac.
Lol, yes, start booking you tickets!! Thank you very much for the kind notes. Yes Remy Martin is really nice to visit. Did you see that tasting experience with all the different ingredients that ressemble those found in the XO. They offere different kinds of experiences like this at the HQ which is very cool that's in the centre of Cognac the town.. Then they have the other site on the outskirts of Cognac, which you see in the video, where all the barrels are stored, a massive complex that you can also visit. They take you around different buildings, including their Paradis (where they have the very old stuff for the Louis XV). Also a very nice experience. It's all very well set up to welcome visitors. Thanks much for taking the time to leave a kind note :-) See you around. Have you watched my Hennessy distillery tour video yet?
@Julien Miquel No, not the Hennessy video yet, but I will watch it soon. Regarding the Remy tasting room in Cognac, it took me a few seconds to realize they had a real (I guess) honeycomb set vertically over the long drip tray to catch any honey that oozes out of the honeycomb. And you mentioned their other site where they keep the storage barrels of cognac- I can’t imagine how they keep track of the various blends that age for decades on end “until it is ready” to bottle and sell. Imagine them just finishing up the blend for several barrels of their 100 Year aged cognac and writing, “2120” on the barrel. All I know is I won’t be around to see any bottles of it in the locked glass display case at the store when it goes on sale. Same goes for the 100 Year movie as well. Cheers! 🍷
Hi there, I'm guessing you mean XO? XO stands for “Extra Old”: XO cognacs are made only from eaux-de-vie at least six years old, meaning the youngest brandy in the blend is at least 6-y-o but generally there are much older eaux de vies in the blend. XOs are blends of different batches that are of different ages, there is no EXACT age for a Cognac since it's a blend, unless it's a vintage Cognac which are rare. Hope this helps :) Cheers!
Well, ageing a Cognac in bottle doesn't really age the eau de vie itself as you know, as in it doesn't evolve much at all, so yes. Could seem pointless. Although, you'd still have a very old Cognac from 100+ years ago which would be quiet something! Now, in the film, the 100 years thing you would have seen, is about a movie they made in 2015 that won't be released until 2115, so it's not about a Cognac itself. Just a marketing thing. There's some info about it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100_Years_(film)
Cheers Chantell. The price doesn't make the quality or how much we appreciate things. But, yes, I guess expensive things often are of good quality and can be utterly enjoyable. Cheers :-)
I love Remy Martin XO I buy it all the time

What is that coupe glass full of semi-translucent orange spheres? Reminds of of Maraschino cherries but the color is making me think orange marmalade
When can I move in? Awesome!
it's a stunning place isn't it!? Cheers again Brandon :-)
nice vid, music is too fast/tempo, this is a "slow down" experience...
Hi guys. How many years old Remy Martin Extra cognac, exactly ? Thanks.

100 years aging in a bottle seems a bit pointless. Am I missing something?

@Julien Miquel You’ve heard the old saying, “You get what you pay for.” You spend 💰💰💰 for Remy Louis XIII, and you get an incredible cognac. Cheers! 🍷
