I saw Stephen live in Sacramento and he was an extremely high tenor. I’ve never heard a voice so incredible, he was like an angel. I was so stunned by him... it was absolutely effortless.
Sam won the Olivier Award for best Musical Lead in London. Andrew literally was a teenager, 17 when he first appeared in the lead role on Broadway. He had just won the Jimmy Award for best high school musical star.
This is the second or third vocal coach I’ve seen react to this video and this is the exact reaction I was looking for. I was totally blown away by the blend and control of all of them and expected more people to talk about that specifically. Also the comment about the placement of sams voice is spot on and I became obsessed with him after watching this lolol
First of all, this blend of voices..... it defines exquisite. Second, we saw Stephen in March of 2022 in Schenectady and I missed entire show because I was crying from start to finish. He was absolutely incredible. "Favotires" shouldn't be a thing because every actor gives 110% and puts their own stamp on Evan, but geez louise I can not explain how out of this world Stephen was!! How you could not instantly fall in love with his portrayal is beyond me. The clarrrrrity and heart that comes through in his tone......ugh!! Yes!! All of the yesses!!!
This is my absolute favorite version of a Dear Evan Hansen song. It is pure perfection to my ears. I saw Stephen Christopher Anthony right before everything shut down. It was my second viewing of DEH and he was amazing. I really hope he returns as Evan so I can see him again.
Saw DEH twice this month in Tampa and in Fort Myers, both with Stephen. Two music degrees here so I feel like I know a little bit :) Stephen is truly amazing, both vocally and as an actor. Fortunate to have been in the front row in Tampa and his visible emotion and full immersion into Evan had many in tears at the Straz. He truly is on another plane of existence with this role. Great reaction video!
How anyone can watch/hear this song without tearing up I'll never understand LOL this song is all of the feels and the harmonies and blending these guys manage just send me EVERY time.
I had the pleasure of seeing Robert Marks play the title role in Tommy at the Stratford Festival back in 2013! He's currently playing Mary Sunshine in their production of Chicago XD
your reaction has been the best I have seen of anyone reviewing this song! Watching your eyes light up and react to the high notes and harmony is very much what I felt after I first watched this! Great video - I'm a subscriber now! 😃
First of all, great reaction, and thank you for your honest reactions and ability to explain techniques to an international audience. You are amazing :-) Second, and I know that these guys are amazing. They played Evan, they are always going to be very, very talented and amazing. But, Stephen Christopher Anthony is just from another planet! He is, for me, the technical best to have played Evan ever, and I've seen six different. None has reached his peakes yet....
100%!! I felt this same way when I heard this song, and also whenever I hear anything by Eric Whitacre, like Lux Aurumque or Sleep. It’s like you’ve never heard it before, but then it builds and resolves exactly like you were hoping and THANK YOU. It makes me wish I could hear it all again for the first time and experience that same wonderment again.
Yes! Love finding nice vocal coaches! Could you plz react to Voctave singing their arrangement of “You Will Be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen? If you’re not familiar with them, they are an 11 member acapella group. Their sound is more choral, but what amazes me is their blend and harmonies ❤️ (headphones recommended for the full experience) They do a lot of different kinds of covers, From Disney to movies and even a few jazz style songs
Danielle, I love your channel! Great reactions and analysis. You should listen to bass singer Geoff Castellucci from VoicePlay, he has a crazy range. He can go from bass to tenor in one song. He does a great cover of John Denver's "Take me home, Country roads"
MEGA MAY is here!oohh this is a new one for me. i love discovering new artists.and thanks coach for introducing me to TEMREE. loved her songs, "consuming fire" is my fave so far.🙏👏❤ #subscriptionsquad #MEGAMAY #DanielleMarieDaily
You should go back to, I think it's the 2018 Jimmy awards videos. Andrew Barth Feldman (no relation that I know of) won the male actor award that year.
Love this one. I personally think it’s the best version of this song. PLEASE react to Pia Toscano and Loren Allred covering tell him by Celine and Barbara. They are singing it with David foster. It’s a masterpiece.
Immortal Song 2 by Chen and Baekhyun of EXO is an amazing performance I think you would enjoy. The vocals of this group are fantastic in general.# subscription team.
I would love to see you do a reaction to Queenie Van De Zandt singing Candyland from Smoke and Mirrors. I want her to get the recognition she quite obviously deserves! #subscriptionsquad
I wonder how old is the 4th Evan from the Toronto cast? Great voice but man he looks much older that the first two and #3 looks like a college guy. The first 2 look like high school kids especially #2. No. 4 looks like he can be Corny Collins in Hairspray.
I know.. I've been trying to look up his age but to no results... SCA (Evan # 3), according to the fandom wiki, is 30 w/c is a surprise to me... Meanwhile, Sam (Evan # 1) is 23 and Andrew (Evan #2) is 19.
@@dlmbs Andrew (Evan #2) was 16 when he was cast on Broadway. I read that Robert Markus (Evan #4) was 30 when he was cast, and he was almost NOT even auditioned because of 1) his age and 2) his "traditional handsomeness" LOLOL
Heyy please react to TEARS OF GOLD (stripped) by Faouzia, this 20 yo young lady is best vocalist of our generation and her Moroccan background makes her music so unic
#SUBSCRIPTIONSQUAD I listen to this video every day. I'm new to vocal coach channels. I love it! I've always loved music and singing.. I'm learning things on my own. Thanks for helping teach me!!!
This is my first reaction of yours I have come across, and I sadly have to say that I am SO disappointed in your reaction. I usually really enjoy watching vocal teachers and coaches comment on performances I like since I look forward to getting new perspectives, but not this time. I get that you're wanting to stop to comment on what they're doing vocally, but compared to other reactors doing the same thing, you stop far too much and at terrible times, making following the progress of the performance a challenge by making it too fragmented. Also, (and again I get where you're coming from but...) the "Steven"/"Stefan" thing was SUPER distracting and annoying. I will probably get flamed by your fans, but c'est la vie.
HAPPY DAY 1 OF MEGA MAY!!! Reminder on! Let’s get this video to 1,500 likes!!
Please do "If I could tell her" the video version someone did, I cannot remember their names but will try to link below ❤

Just saw Stephen in Dayton, OH tonight. He kiiilled it! Such an emotional and flawless performance. And you’re right, Jessica, it seemed effortless!!
Yes I saw him live two and he was outstanding
Every time I hear this song sang by any guy who is cast as Evan, I can’t unhear the harmonies and it feels so empty without the harmonies
The second guy Andrew got cast at 16 years old. Amazing. They are very young.
Sam won the Olivier Award for best Musical Lead in London.

he was sixteennnn
@@aimeehartigan3929 he was sixteen when he won Jimmy award, he joined DEH about 17 yrs old
@@mawasorangutan i asked andrew on a live stream before and he said he was 16 when he started! he was 17 when he finished
i wish andrew got a little love lmao. after all, he is the 16 year old to play evan on broadway
I'm definitely giving him a lotta love!!!

Anyone else notice their vibratos matched towards the end when they sang the words "this way"?
When you said you were interested in how the four guys were going to blend together, I had to laugh :D All I could think was, "Oh darlin, just wait!"
I love these 4! I have watched them about 20 times. They could not have blended voices any better! OMG!!!

Heyo me too tbh and so I made a version of this where the four sing over the original instrumental of For Forever if you're interested :)
@@beatssquaa Thanks. I added to my saved list. Beautiful!

Oh yay the 4 Evans. Did you hear that Andrew Barth Feldman is guest starring on Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett's show on Disney+?
I saw Stephen Christopher Anthony play Evan on 24th April and he was fantastic. I cried and cried he is a true, true talent
I absolutely love this rendition ahhhh
How anyone can watch/hear this song without tearing up I'll never understand LOL this song is all of the feels and the harmonies and blending these guys manage just send me EVERY time.

I've sung Sleep - Eric Whitacre and it's literally that even when you're singing it and blending
Also check out I carry your heart by Eric Whitacre 🥰. Sang that for a wedding before
Stephen hits those high notes like they are no problem, he could do it all day
Congrats on 50k subs 😊❣️
Stephen definitely hit the G5 when they blended to the higher notes 💜 My crush

Agreed. Voctave is the BOMB
Voctave please!
New subscriber loved this reaction.
Of course you love the Tenor voice. It's why composers of opera and musical theater seldom write a love interest or lead for a Bass.
@7:05, perfect example of why I'm subscribed to your channel
What's a good start on your 1st Mayday reaction. Nice song from 4Evan.
I love your reaction to this video!
Andrew was 16 or 17 when he was cast as Evan, and I think this was not long after that, so he'll have still been in high school at this point.
