    This is good for closer sandbars, but keep in mind some areas of east coast (SC down to FL) I can walk out to the first or second sandbar and cast from there and pickup another 100+ yards and you can put your bait into deeper waters

      This is australia and you can't do that due to stingrays and sharks.

    I seem to get it out a bit further with my technique. But I'm down to try this to see how it goes. Yeah I can get it out a bit further. Here are sandbars are a little further out so we just fish troughs. Still I love simple videos like this. Thanks for sharing.

      @@purplefurture6960 that's a 12 foot 2 piece rod. ^ seconds of air time equates to a long distance in casting length. best thing for you to do is go to your local tackle store and ask them what works for your area. cater for your conditions not for the fish you intend to catch
      as you never know what you're going to encounter

    How did you hold the line cuz it slips when I try to cast really hadd

    • @australisfishing
      @australisfishing  2 місяці тому

      What you have to do is put the line between end of your pointy finger and the first hinge on that finger. Have your finger slightly bent and when you cast you learn the timing . Try some casts at 30 % effort , then 50 % effort and keep building . When you're confident go for it. Buy yourself one of those little casting gloves.
