I lost my husband 12-22-21 and it's tough...however he loved Lorrie and right before he got sick, the sick that took his life, I had gotten tickets to her concert....once there, I showed him that I had backstage passes and he got to meet her!! We got a picture with his arm around her!!! That picture and the huge smile on that Police Chiefs face is all I really have left.... but it makes me happy to see how excited he was to meet her and take a picture ❤ beautiful lady
My husband and son died four days apart 9 months ago and it really hits home , husband died from covid my son died from heart failure at 26 I have been a basket case ever since love you guys so much it hurts 💕 RIP

That's what makes Country Music, it comes from the heart and has true meaning. I absolutely love this song and especially Lorrie Morgan's cover of it. You can feel the emotion she puts into it. Having lost my first Wife in 2010 songs like this one and Vern Gosden Chisled in Stone just has much more meaning to them.

We just lost my Mother A Month Ago she battled MS & Diabetes & Heart Failure Cirrhosis of the liver & Cancer this women was the strongest woman I ever knew that's why I got my strength from My Mother Passed Away Last Month she made her peace with God! I truly miss real Country Music. With the unique sounds of the beautiful peddle steel, the Fiddle, the Banjo, and when you hear the music you know exactly who is singing. Thank goodness for cds and UA-cam so you can still hear great Country Music. This song always makes my eyes flow like a river. Truly beautiful.

My mom died in 1992 from cancer and she loved this song so much she asked us to play it for her at her funeral and she got what she asked for. I loved it then and it still bring tears to me now all these years later. Lorrie Morgan is and was great

This is a song of grief and love that was written from someone's broken heart. Every time I hear it I think of the loss of my seven-year-old grandson. Leukemia took him slowly and very painfully. Now he is pain free. The loss of him will end for all of us one day who loved him. Can't wait to see him again. We are certainly loving him longer and missing him longer than we knew him.

I lost my Papaw at the age of 10 back in 2007. One of my key memories as a child was singing this song with him. I don’t remember much else from my childhood cause loosing him traumatized me but It was our song. Miss him every day and sing this song to my kiddos now 💔❤️

TOLD ME STANDING N MY HOUSE THAT I HAD TO "GET HER REMATED & OUT OF CORONER'S OFFICE WITHIN THE NEXT DAY!!" I HAD WENT N SHOCK AFTER SEEING KIM'S FACE ON TV, & I'VE NEVER BURIED A CHILD!! I HONESTLY DIDN'TKNOW WAT TO DO!! (FYI: I HAD GATHERED SOOO MUCH EVIDENCE, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY 4 ATTORNEYS & INVESTIGATORS, ETC.! ) PLUS, THE WAY TIMES R?!! WE WER POOR & WASN'T EVER GIVEN ANYTHING THAT COUD B CALLED "WHITE PRIVILEGE"!! NO! JUST ANOTHER DEAD COP!! SO, WHY R LIVES R NOTHING?!! NOBODY CARED!! THEY ALL KNEW, BUT COVERED THEIR OWN BUTTS!! IF WE WER BLM, OR ANTIFA, ETC., WE COUD PROBABLY TAK REVENGE, & WALK AWAY WITH MILLIONS!!! SO!! SORRY! BUT IT WAS JUST MY DAUGHTERS B.D., & NEXT MO. COMES THE DAY I WAITED OUT N THE COLD, WHILE I WATCHED ALL THE COPS SCOURE 6 HRS 4 ALL MY BOYS BODY PARTS N ALL THE TALL WEEDS!! SO, U NEVER FORGET!! THEY'RE DEATHS, ALL THE CIRCUMSTANCES INVOLVED, LIVE IN UR MIND!! ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S NOT NATURAL, & THEY'RE TOO YOUNG!!💔💔🙏💕💕
This is a song of grief and love that was written from someone's broken heart. Every time I hear it I think of the loss of my seven-year-old grandson. Leukemia took him slowly and very painfully. Now he is pain free. The loss of him will end for all of us one day who loved him. Can't wait to see him again. We are certainly loving him longer and missing him longer than we knew him.
