Hands down the Viltrox. I had the Sirui here and sent it back the same day. Not only was it decentered, but to achive the sharpness the Viltrox gave me at 1.2 i had to stop down the Sirui to f2.8. which rendered it useless to me.
If the points were based on the importance of the features, it would be fairer, i.e. the number of options that the viltrox has is more important to me than the low weight of the Sirui, but the score would be worth only 1 point in both cases. But if the score were to take into account the importance of the features the viltrox wins by far. Obviously this is all subjective. I would also add that the focusing system is a matter of upgrades. For me the clear champion is the viltrox, it has the performance of a prime lens for a quite reduced price, not as much as the sirui but enough to be worth it. Both are very good lenses. Good review anyway!
Well, everyone can judge for themselves how important a category is. For me, weight is the most important one, otherwise the optically great lens stays at home. Even price, whatever, you cry once, you make money back, but you feel the weight every time you use it.
Hi Have you had a chance to experience the following lenses? I am using Fujifilm xt20. Which one would I get the best auto focus with? xt20 is an old machine, I am a little hesitant, what would your ranking be? thanks Sirui aurora 85mm f1.4 viltrox 75mm f1.2 Samyang AF 75mm f1.8
Good review, but chromatic aberations should be tested on a sunny day with a strong backlight on a subject from the sun, where most lenses will get alot of purple fringing.
If you're on Apcs... And your concern is to get the best IQ you could get with the budget of 300 usd. Which one would you choose between sirui 75mm 1.2 and 7 artisan 85mm 1.8?
I got my Sirui set of 23mm 33mm 56mm Sniper set for $550.00 plus tax got the metal color now im looking for a deal on the 16mm and the 75mm since I saved 400 bucks cuz I was gonna buy it for 800 plus tax but saved some cash or might get some nightwalker lenses I have not seen that price on the Sniper lens set so I got a very good deal and the image is amazing on my FX30 and A6400
@@prastyopratama4270 i got it on B&H was lucky it was a return but since I knew they had just came out I know they were new did not get the option to pick the color only thing different but when I got it looked like they just opened it looked at it and pu it back into the box cuz it had all papers even when it was made it did not even have 6 months on the made date sticker was lucky on that one haven't seen any at that price anymore
From what I've seen in other reviews of the Sirui, there is some QC inconsistency where some samples have softness at f/1.2. Longitudinal chromatic aberration (which I don't think you tested for) at close focus can also get bad on the Sirui where you need to hit f/4 before it goes away. For photography, I would take the Viltrox. For video, I would actually take the Night Walker variant of the Sirui.
On my copy Sirui Sniper 75 1.2 it sometimes happens that the lens cannot open the aperture when turned on, it tries but fails, with a characteristic sound. The camera writes F-- . But after some attempts and removing the battery it starts working.

For me, it’s all about autofocus speed and sharpness
Hi
Have you had a chance to experience the following lenses?

thanks
Sirui aurora 85mm f1.4
viltrox 75mm f1.2
Samyang AF 75mm f1.8
Hi) I don’t know how xt20 works in terms autofocus, but I thing among those 3 lenses viltrox 75mm f1.2 will be the best option)
Sirui is to soft all there lenses. Viltrox is much better 27/75 f/1.2

It’s tough to get sunny days in Moscow sometimes 😅 thanks)

for photography or video?
I have the viltrox 85 1.8 and viltrox 56 1.4.
thinking to replace both with the sirui 75mm 1.2
but no easy decision
I think if it’s financially beneficial - why not?)
what is this two better than 50 mm 1.8 oss for APSC?
Totally different purposes)

I did test it for loca - the fence is shot at an angle)
If the viltrox is not that heavy i would choose it. In fairness, Sirui's IQ is good as well...
Agreed)
Reliability?
Didn’t have any issues yet

Sirui looks like a better buy ☕
