It really whips the Llama's ass.
Marlon knows his stuff, as does PSP. Great job!
PSP always nail saturation - the best at it!
Welcome, super happy how the Psp family grows!!!!
Fantastic job
Thank you very much!
Wow, it's really nice without getting too frizzy
I LUFS audio. I need that shirt!
Great!!
Super nice
Thank you
I'd recommend mix function for a parallel flow,
in two modes - mixing both, and add/apply over,
that will expand the possibilities to combine ...
Hi @whitenoisestudio Marlon/PSP, thanks for the video. : ) Does anyone know what the main differences between this and let's say FabFilter's Saturn 2 would be for adding saturation? Kind regards, Darren (Wales, UK).
Fabfilter offers a number of different saturation types. This offers only one, based on the saturation profile of a classic tape delay. I just got this and use FabFilter 2 all the time and wouldn't really compare them . They cover the same functions but in different ways. If you're buying a saturator for the first time, I would recommend the Fabfilter, because of it's greater flexibiility.
PSP also has a more versatile saturator, simply called PSP Saturator, that I would compare to Fabfilter Saturn 2 and to my ears sounds better. Although in practise, I tend to use them for different effects since Saturn 2 is multiband with more extensive modulation capabilities. PSP is darker and less "modern" sounding IMHO as well as simpler to use. Saturn is more of sound design tool for me, useful for experimentation and wild effects. Where PSP Saturator is more of a mixing tool that you can set up quickly with little fuss. So in practise quite different, for me at least. They both have generous demos, so it might be an idea to give them both a try and decide for yourself based on your needs.
Hi Adam, thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. : ) It's disappointing that Marlon @whitenoisestudio didn't reply given he's promoting this product, but I guess that's to be expected. ( : I take your point about BinAmp being easier to use and more of a mixing tool. As I already have a couple of great sounding PSP products, I think I'll take your advice and try the demo to see if it adds anything different to my other saturators. Kind regards, Darren. : )
@@dazza1000 Now worries mate. Happy to help out. Although to clarify, I was talking more about PSP Saturator, rather than Binamp. I was intially talking about Binamp, but then bought up PSP Saturator, a different product, in my second comment, as I just remembered it after commenting on Binamp initially. I can see where that might get confusing. Lol.
It's worth getting getting , but Binamp is the most limited and least versatile of the three. You said you own a few PSP products so you may own PSP Saturator already, so my point may be moot, but as a mixing tool, that's the one I'd recommend. Saturn 2 is stronger on the sound design front. As stated earlier it all depends on your needs and what you want to achieve. Anyway, I hope you manage to find what you want. Although, I find you can never have enough:)
@@dazza1000 Personally I love Fabfilter 1/2 but it does not sound as warm and fat as the PSP, both have their uses. As for Whitenoise not replying he is very active on his own UA-cam channel, maybe try there... :) Cymru Am Byth :D
can someone talk about it and how well it is?
vocal wise
Exciting, but I decide to wait. I have a feeling this will eventually grow into a full-blown emulation and I don't want to pay twice for the same plugin. Not even an upgrade price. This once happened when one developer modeled Roland Space Echo reverb section, I bought it, and then I had to pay extra when he modeled the rest of the device with the delay, preamp and everything. Not gonna make same mistake twice.
PSP has great loyalty discounts/offers and great upgrade prices, usually. But, ok, fair enough
In such case for sure we would introduce the Xgrade offer but I wouldn't wait.
Dont talk between comparisons
