    • @bagriders

      Really the air line size should be based on the weight of your vehicle! 3/8 can be great for heavier vehicles to speed up the air out, where as 3/8 on a light vehicle can be too fast sometimes when trying to hit presets

    wondering how much difference it would make with 1/2" over the 3/8"?
    im told if you use a manifold (rather than individual valves) it wont make much difference, is that true?

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  4 місяці тому

      The primary determinant here is the valve size. When utilizing a 1/4" valve, the variance in air release speed between 1/4" and 3/8" is small. Increasing the size of the valve along with a larger air line will maximize both air-out and air-up speeds. In this test, we compared the speeds of a 1/4" Air Lift 3P system with 1/4" air line to that of a 3/8" Air Lift 3P system with 3/8" air line.

    Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I’m about to purchase everything for my 88s10. Why are most manifolds 1/4”and the airride kits all come with 3/8 or 1/2” do all ports have to match??

    • @bagriders
      @bagriders  Місяць тому

      1/4" Manifolds have been the most popular when it comes to sales and seems to work on 90% of the applications out there. Something to note about 3/8" vs 1/4" is that you can always slow down 3/8" but never speed up 1/4". For your S10 you can't go wrong with 3/8" in that case. If you checkout our offerings for the 88 S10 you can see we only offer 1/4" and 3/8" as we find 1/2" is extreme over kill while also it shares the difficulty of running the larger air line in tight areas. www.bagriders.com/vehicle/chevrolet-s10-1st-gen-rwd

    • @bagriders

      There is no difference in ride quality between 3/8 and 1/4!

    • @blkeclipsel2400
      @blkeclipsel2400 2 роки тому +3

      The only difference between the two in form is 3/8 airs up and out faster than the 1/4. Wider air tubes = more air flow. It's said that 3/8 should be used for heavier vehicles like SUV's , trucks or Heavy muscle cars. Something to do with more difficulty/less precision when trying to set up different ride heights with 3/8 on a lighter vehicle. I have a Camaro 2SS. Not the lightest car but certainly not too heavy so I went with the 1/4. Also if you plan to do the install yourself the 1/4 will be easier than the 3/8's as its much easier to bend and run through nooks and crannys.
