Great shave Michael. Glad to see you are still making videos every once in a while. New guys and gals have so much to choose from these days that it's often hard for them to choose. When I started in Feburary 2014, they did not have much to choose from and there was no where near the artisan soap makers that there is today. It's hard to believe that it will be 10 years for me the first week of Feburary when I made my first order from West Coast Shaving Supplies and Shave Nation. My "go to" soap is Proraso green and my favorite artisan is Soap Commander. I also like Fine Accoutrements, Wet The Face and RazoRock. My go to razor is the Leaf. I also enjoy the Henson AL13 medium and the Rockwell 6C. Favorite go to blade is the Gillette Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack from India.
Great shave Michael. Looks like all products fit well together! Looking forward to the next video. Take your time. They don't have to come weekly. Happy about every video that comes! Greetings, Jens
Incredible video! I’m so glad you were able to try Dammusi, and that you loved the scent, the soap, the aftershave so much! I do appreciate all the contributions you’ve made in the wet shaving community, I watched a ton of your videos when I was learning myself! And yes, that Legacy razor is fantastic!
Well, as they say- all good things must come to an end. Thank you for all the laughs, inspiration and sacrifice towards entertaining us, with a hint of wit Michael. God bless, have a joyous Festive Season and a prosperous New Year. Warm regards from David (South Africa)
There is another youtuber "Jack Cecil" he does car videos and boy do you guys look similar. Anyway great review glad that I came across your channel. All the best.
Nice setup and shave Michael. 3 shaves and out for a blade for me. Cheapest and arguably most important part of shave. Just not worth it to me. Suggested Beginner setup - DE89 or 6c OR slim / Fatboy if vintage route is taken. I like the 34c but potential blade alignment issues is a variable that a beginner shouldn’t have to contend with. For badger funk lather up a strong smelling soap and let the lather sit in the brush overnight. Keep ‘em going!
Nice shave! If you have not tried it, I suggest tou try out Elysian soaps. Shannon makes, for me, the very beat soap base out there of all I have tried.
You were talking about Getting Started for Wet Shaving, around twelve minute into the time line. Yes. Present some recommendations. A few people have done this, and so can you - budget, cost, choices.
Great videos as always. It is nice to see you doing them consistently again. What's your favorite citrus balm? One that has oranges, limes, and grapefruits as the main notes.
How good does a soap need to be? Imagine this: Some wet-shaving enthusiasts may be trying an assortment of soaps with the goal to find how the post shave feeling is for each; and wishes to know which give the most comfortable post shave feel.
The soap you are starting with in the bowl appears to be MORE than is needed; but I am not familiar with House Of Mammoth soaps, so I am just guessing from my own experiences.
Is the "soap wars" still a thing? I remember 1-2 years ago, every soap maker was dropping a new soap to universal acclaim. I just feel all that has finished now, admittedly im no longer as fascinated by it all but I no longer hear of new soaps these days. Perhaps it's because everyone i followed on UA-cam has retired. Ps. If i could've picked 1 wetshaving retiree to return it'd have bwen your good self.
Another Michael review of a Yaqi brush and an artisan soap? Classic! 😀
You are very welcome Michael.
Always a pleasure to see your
videos. Don't give up mate.
Stay good and have a nice
weekend.

Great shave as alway! Really enjoying these videos and was curious what House of Mammoth was like.
Nice shave Mike. I don't have a single HoM soap. I guess I have to do some sample shopping.
Watching your video after some time has passed is quite enjoyable 👌

That looks like a firm but moldable soap, and would seem to be easy to work with.
What razor did you use?? I just got the leaf twig.
