the Hindustan name seems like an odd choice if that is to indicate a tallow based soap. It would make more sense if that meant no cows were harmed. Perhaps I mis-heard the soap description and the soap is in fact non tallow.
Howdy from Texas! I really like iKon Razors as they are very well made and won’t break the bank. I have really learned to appreciate the Astra Blade (Green) paired with the IKon X3 Slant. I really appreciate your honest opinion on wet shaving products. Have a great week and see you next shave. 😬
Nice Shave and video. Its nicely surprising to know the name Hindustan which actually means "India" where I belong. The razor too was good with dual comb!
Hi Michael- Great shave and razor/soap reviews; thank you! The dual comb razor heads always seem interesting, but historically I unfortunately don’t do too well with open comb razors. I’m definitely going to head over to Murphy and McNeil to see about the soap, though. I hope you have a great week ahead and best regards, as always!
Great shave and review, Michael! The Russian artisan soap looks very good. I was under the impression that this iKon razor had a flippable base plate to offer a more efficient or more comfortable shave in addition to the closed/open comb. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly or the razor you're using is a different model. Thanks for sharing your impressions of this razor and soap! Cheers! -Rob
Nice shave Michael💈💈 Soap loading bowl🙄, almost there. Not a fan of overly aggressive razors, even on one side, so this one is a no go for me🤔 Glad no damage happened. Soap looked decent, good lather on screen. SOTD: ATT R1 w/Kai blade, Stirling "Coniferous" soap/witch hazel/splash/balm...Glorious👌 Great video and review👍 Enjoy!
Well done Michael. Is this a Jeckal & Hyde razor perhaps? I have enjoyed my Ikon slant for some time so perhaps this is a potential purchase from Ikon. This is a new soap to me & it sounds promising. Take care & Thanks. Zac.
Saved this one and just got around to watching. I hope you are enjoying your 'retirement'. Best wishes Michael to you and your family at this God-awful time.👍
Hi Michael. Looks like a good soap from the Russians. The razor seems to go from one extreme to the other as far as aggressive and mild. A good shave all around though. Thank you.👍
Just thinking, assuming the term closed comb does not make why would anybody speak about an open comb. Combs are typically "open", so no need to mention....
Another great video. I started a video challenge called the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, challenge that is making it's way around UA-cam. When I started it, I tagged small UA-camrs like myself because I thought there was no chance of getting popular wet shaving UA-camrs like yourself to accept it. But now it has made it to the likes of Nick Shaves, Mantic59, and Friendship Shaving. It would mean a lot to me if you would accept the challenge and give me a shoutout in the video. I have been adding the videos to the playlist on my channel. I am sure you are busy, so I understand if you are unable to do it. Thanks for reading my comment.

Michael, your mastery of the boar brush far exceeds any wetshaver on UA-cam. The yoghurt you generate out of the mighty boar is phenomenal.

Michael,
Thanks for video. Your tip : no soap blooming... Valuable. Thank you💈
Thanks Michael great video. 👍🇺🇸
I believe that you could build a lather from sand! Just add "a bit more water"!
Love your videos....keep em coming!! Cheers from Minneapolis

How old were you when you started shaving?
Why do you use the washer?
Fenomeno is a greek word, "Φαινόμενο", and it means Marvel !
So, it is time for a pre-shave week now?? Did you enter the Reddit Chat??
Looks like a bloody Thor hammer.... trouble is I don't see any thunder or lightning in the bathroom

does not make sense
Easy to lather coming from the guy who can lather a bowl of marbles with no water😂

I have the soap from this artisan that smells like pure tar and it's super strong to say the least. Performance for me was average and enjoyable.
