The dancer's outfits are stunning, I wish the singer's color/fabric was closer to turquoise and that of the same material of the male shirts and female skirts. But a beautiful song, regardless!
That stage was a disgrace, expecting this wonderful song to be staged on a postage stamp. Ridiculous. This is one of the best eurovision songs ever. Better than the 1978 winner
This is great cultural and ethnic entertainment. I love it 💕😍. Please do more of the same.. Also a suggestion, how about adding some tutorials demonstrating these beautiful and spirited dances that fit these beautiful songs. First in slow motion without the music, showing the steps and various nuisances and then step it up to the music. This will help more people experience and appreciate this great culture and traditions associated with it.
I'm delighted to see Jewish traditions on the ESC stage! If it weren't for the stiff competition from Nicole, it could've stood a chance at the trophy.
@@georgianturcu3798 It's a big part of both Romanian and Jewish culture. Jewish immigrants from central Europe brought it to Israel and now people do it there all the time. It's not exclusive to Romania at all. Heck, the one other Eurovision entry centered around the hora is also Romania-adjacent, but it's literally called "Hora din Moldova" (and it also slaps).
@@SuperJNG18 , that's more like it!. HORA IS exclusive to ROMANIA in terms of creation. I appreciate that you admit that Ashkenazis from Central and Eastern Europe brought it to Israel from Romania. Yeah well the Spanish word for "zone" means "whore" in Hebrew. It's not like Israelis take photo of a sign that says "zona" every time they travel to a Spanish speaking country and post it on facebook to show all their friends what a funny sign they found

A real Eurovision classic
In 1982 I was 12 years old. Don't why, but I never forgot this song. It was the only song, that was always in my ears. For 40 years now ! 😁
Me too
Thats my father there, shared with him your comment😂

Lots of great songs from Israel, but this one has to be up there with 1983, 2005, 1998 and 1979!! This guy is amazing.
Its Avi Toledano who also wrote the Music for 1983 ofra Haza's "Hai" . Both finished 2nd
2:03 Bye bye microphone
I love him, from Argentina
Not forgetting 1995 either.
And Dana Internetional Diva
Those were the days when Israel sent proper quality songs to Eurovision - should have won by a mile in 1982!
Nice song
זה היה לפני מלחמת לבנון. השיר הגרמני זכה בענק ובצדק. קלאסיקה בלתי נשכחת

Is this the smallest stage in ESC history ?
J'ai l'impression que les chansons de l'eurovision des années 1970 et 1980 étaient de bien meilleures qualités que celles qui concourent de nos jours
That dance choreography is very unique.

Very nice ❤
One of my most favourite Israeli Eurovision songs
One of my favourite songs from Israel and from the ESC in general
Brilliant! I'd really like to see more songs like this at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Zedd1500 I want to see Eurovision go back to having a live orchestra, and introducing the conductor.
Eurovision 2015 Israel was a step in right direction
It's not going to go back, because people will only vote for poppy music.

WOW! Incedible to see this group again. Today(2020) everyone is 63..
Belive it or not - Avi Toledano still has his hair.... this is his last appearance before he started to wear a whig
2:01 most epic microphone-crash in Eurovision-history! In my opinion, this stage was too small for six people.
It was extremely small. It was also ridiculously small for the Dutch song.
