@@Lukasmachta You are welcome my friend I hope you are doing well!
This comment aged like milk
@@annakhvelaf9692 How so? Care to explain?
agree but with 2012 and 2022 only, both songs were awful, but in general Israel provides loads of quality and unforgettable songs @@annakhvelaf9692
People look confused when I tell them that I prefer this type of music over modern high-visual-effect and loud music, but these are the songs I can never pass on.
In 1982 I was 12 years old. Don't why, but I never forgot this song. It was the only song, that was always in my ears. For 40 years now ! 😁
Me too
Thats my father there, shared with him your comment😂
A real Eurovision classic
one of the best Eurovision song ever!!!!!!!!!
Lots of great songs from Israel, but this one has to be up there with 1983, 2005, 1998 and 1979!! This guy is amazing.
Its Avi Toledano who also wrote the Music for 1983 ofra Haza's "Hai" . Both finished 2nd
2:03 Bye bye microphone
I love him, from Argentina
Not forgetting 1995 either.
And Dana Internetional Diva
Nice song
i can't believe we won TWICE in a row, and got 2nd place TWICE in a row. it's pure insanity
Maybe a 2nd third in a row is due this year? 😊
I was 17, never forget this song and solist.
Shalom Israel your songs are beautiful....it's so good remenber this song again!!....
Try telling that to the Palestinian children under brutal israeli occupation.
39 years ago. fantastic song. amazing singer.
This is such a great song
Esta canción es un manjar ! Qué coreografía ! Que letra de canción ! Que melodías ! Que cantante ! Que voz ! Impresionantes gracias Israel por estas grandes interpretaciones ! Por algo tienen 4 premios bien merecidos , !! Y grandes segundos lugares !
¿cual es la traduccion de este tema?
Those were the days when Israel sent proper quality songs to Eurovision - should have won by a mile in 1982!
One of my most favourite Israeli Eurovision songs
2:01 RIP that microphone
maybe that was part of their performance 😎
That dance choreography is very unique.
Thats Hora dancing 😅
Very nice ❤
A favorite. It's just so joyful
One of my favourite songs from Israel and from the ESC in general
WOW! Incedible to see this group again. Today(2020) everyone is 63..
Belive it or not - Avi Toledano still has his hair.... this is his last appearance before he started to wear a whig
OMG this is amazing . This why i love Eurovision
I know Nicole was great but this was my personal winner
Hora, Hora, Hora
The field we left back then still turns to gold
The land still produces its harvest
And the nights in Canaan are still beautiful
Before the sun rises
A train still crosses a green orchard there
A stork still relaxes above
And the fog still carries in the valley
Between the sunrise and the dew
And also the Hora, the one with the Hey
Its voice still rises, its voice has not been silenced
And also the Hora, the one with the Hey
Its song fills my heart forever
Clouds still float over the city houses
And the sea caresses the sand
And still we hear how in the hearts there beats
An old refrain and a dance
And also the Hora, the one with the Hey
Its voice still rises, its voice has not been silenced
And also the Hora, the one with the Hey
Its song fills my heart forever
Lai lai lai lai… lala lai lai lai…
Lala lala lalala…
Lai lai lai lai… lala lai lai lai…

Sehr schön, ich bin 1982 im August geboren. Und ja sehr schön.
Todah rabah, mamash. Hashir od kol kach meragesh.
Brilliant! I'd really like to see more songs like this at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Zedd1500 I want to see Eurovision go back to having a live orchestra, and introducing the conductor.
Eurovision 2015 Israel was a step in right direction
It's not going to go back, because people will only vote for poppy music.
this guy is like duracell battery from israel :DD
huh
Alguien en 2020 recordando grandes canciones de eurovision ? 🙂🙂🙂
What a killer tune.
2:01 most epic microphone-crash in Eurovision-history! In my opinion, this stage was too small for six people.
It was extremely small. It was also ridiculously small for the Dutch song.
The stage of the Israeli national final was much bigger and impresive then this stage. I think the british didnt had a sirious budget to host the Eurovision that year.
And the lights in Cannan are still beautiful
The *nights. But yes.
Im from Israel
This song is a dance-evergreen. My Ivrit-teacher here in Stuttgart had made a choreograpy for this song. This choreography is often performed.
Beautiful Jews
The dancer's outfits are stunning, I wish the singer's color/fabric was closer to turquoise and that of the same material of the male shirts and female skirts. But a beautiful song, regardless!
....very good entry, a Little bit sad....A Little bit of peace by Nicole won - but this song from Israel would have been a good winner TOO !!!!
Hora for ESC Israel is a Legend Song way back:)
LOVE IT... EPIC. As good as Nicole's
Raúl Pereira Lopes Simao and 12 Points from Israel(!) to Germany and 12 Points back
I start singing this whenever a woman is selling me suspicious services in sweden
No wonder why Finland gave this song 12 points
You can see some of the dancers in lsraeli entries in 1983 and 1985
This bop should of won!
Super
2022, and still Hora
NOSTALGIA ❤
I remember this song wow
Hora
We have a portuguese song somewhat like that with the movement
Nice!
Eurovision used to be so different choreography, music style back in the day
I always liked to learn and explore new things since as a kid
This is great cultural and ethnic entertainment. I love it 💕😍. Please do more of the same.. Also a suggestion, how about adding some tutorials demonstrating these beautiful and spirited dances that fit these beautiful songs. First in slow motion without the music, showing the steps and various nuisances and then step it up to the music. This will help more people experience and appreciate this great culture and traditions associated with it.
I'm delighted to see Jewish traditions on the ESC stage! If it weren't for the stiff competition from Nicole, it could've stood a chance at the trophy.
What Jewish tradition?!? HORA is Romanian tradition, Romanian folklore. The composer Silviu Nansi Brandes is Jewish Romanian.
@@georgianturcu3798 It's a big part of both Romanian and Jewish culture. Jewish immigrants from central Europe brought it to Israel and now people do it there all the time. It's not exclusive to Romania at all. Heck, the one other Eurovision entry centered around the hora is also Romania-adjacent, but it's literally called "Hora din Moldova" (and it also slaps).
@@SuperJNG18 , that's more like it!. HORA IS exclusive to ROMANIA in terms of creation. I appreciate that you admit that Ashkenazis from Central and Eastern Europe brought it to Israel from Romania. I also appreciate that now is part of Jewish culture. Btw, Moldova was once split up from Romania, so HORA DIN MOLDOVA is Romanian too :)
I love this song!
Is this the smallest stage in ESC history ?
2:03 Lol the dancer knocked the mic over in the right corner
Hahaha true
You can even hear the sound lol
Für 1982 nicht schlecht. ✡️💕✡️💕
Fantastic ♥️ ♥️
One of only 4 or 5 good songs in 1982 - as also Switzerland, Germany, belgium and perhaps Spain. Now I can understand a little bit of the Hebrew lyrics (achschav ani jachol lehavin meat me ha milim ha ivriot).
Good for you....☺

❤
Six people made to dance on a napkin in a village hall.
That stage was a disgrace, expecting this wonderful song to be staged on a postage stamp. Ridiculous. This is one of the best eurovision songs ever. Better than the 1978 winner
Lol. Agreed, it looked terrible on that stage, others looked, meh?
It was 1982!
🎉🎉
2:01 The microphone falls off. El micrófono se cae.
I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇮🇱🇮🇱 end the war!!
Note for me: 02:42 - 03:12
HORA is Romanian folklore, Romanian traditional dance.
The conductor was born in Romania
Yes, but it’s modern form was established as a jewish Zionist dance in the early 1900s
Love it ,Ok! But sounding and dancing South Slavic (Serbian ) not Isreli...
02:54 Go fetch!

I do not know Hebrew. What is he singing about?
The field we left behind then, still turns golden
The earth still bears its crop
And still beautiful are the nights in Canaan
Before the sun rises
The train still crosses the green orchard there
A stork still rests above
And the fog still floats in the valley
Between the sunrise and the dew
And also the hora, the one with the “Hey!”
Its voice still rises, its voice is not stilled
And this hora, the one with the “Hey!”
Its song fills my heart forever
Clouds still float over the city's houses
And the sea caresses the shore
And it's still heard, how within everyone's heart
An old song and a dance are beating
More specifically, it's a song about the landscape of the Jezreel Valley and life in the Kibbutz. They had a tradition of dancing together in large circles on holidays, one of those dances is called "Hora".
@@Antares2F De nada - although a bit late :).
Hora means a prostitute, it's about the joy of being with a beautiful woman of the night who cries Hey! when they do it. I think.
@@Lommy9999 That's funny, 'cause in Finnish huora means whore and it sounds like hora when pronounced, lol.
2025
Difficult song
Looks like son of Netanyahu 😡
Similar bad hair
His real life son is even more crazy
🤣🤣🤣
Well this song is great but in swedish is a bit bad word look up in google
Yeah well the Spanish word for "zone" means "whore" in Hebrew. It's not like Israelis take photo of a sign that says "zona" every time they travel to a Spanish speaking country and post it on facebook to show all their friends what a funny sign they found
@@tFighterPilot Hahaha, though isn't that sharmoota?
@@belleepoque2544 no, that's Arabic. In Hebrew it's used as slang.
