It's amazing to see the process of harvesting millions of tons of walnuts to supply to the whole world! From shaking the plants to let the seeds fall to cleaning and packaging, it's all done very efficiently and professionally. After watching it, I appreciate the walnuts I often eat even more. Is everyone as impressed as I am?
The advanced machinery used in walnut harvesting and processing was impressive! I never realized how much technology goes into something as simple as a bag of walnuts.
Wow, this is truly fascinating! The scale of this walnut harvesting operation is mind-blowing. It's incredible to see how modern technology and efficient processes are utilized to meet the demands of the global food supply. The dedication and hard work of everyone involved in this mega food factory are truly commendable. Can't wait to see more amazing insights into how our food is produced on such a massive scale! 🌰🌎 #MegaFoodFactory #WalnutHarvesting #GlobalFoodSupply 🚜🌳🌏
I like the new format a lot better than the old format. I like to see from the beginning to the end. I will still watch older format because I am kind of an engineer at heart.
I was just looking at the walnuts in a bag and wondering how so few are broken. Each one looked perfect. This gave a great insight into the remarkable process.
That's because the broken ones are separated out and sent out for ice cream, fruitcakes, coffee cakes, candy, etc. Really small pieces may also end up as feed for livestock. Even the shells are recycled. Gentile paint removal is often done using ground walnut shells.
I love watching how different crops are harvested around the country. I would like to watch an in depth video of how hops are harvested in the Pacific Northwest of the u.s.. Would you please make a video of that? Thanks Lord Gizmo.
The trick to shelling walnuts. Soak nuts overnight in water, crack with the palm of hand on counter, on the seamless side of the nut. …. The shells are soft and crack easy.
I've driven up California's Central Valley, where there is a significant portion of walnut groves. Thousands of acres of walnuts, avocados, and almonds. The nut industry uses a significant portion of California's water supply. California alone produces 75% of the world's almonds!
The set-up costs must have been enormous! Use of water and energy is of course a factor here as with all food production, but the carbon footprint per bag say, is possibly acceptable!? Who knows? Very good and comprehensive video otherwise! Cheers
I so much prefer walnuts! Walnuts! Pecan's and carpathian give old people severe buttduck constipation ear but during the flu, for christmas treat plate. Or tge very square bars from recycle. 2 red hots-C.U.-
Very informative, it’s very clear why California has such a problem with water et cetera. So many heavy vehicles generating so much dust and destroying the cell soil bacteria et cetera. An enormous amount of energy and water is clearly used in the processing never mind all those vehicles and different machines.
California’s problems are apathetic people and out of control government. There is a channel explaining all of this and they have solutions. Farmers know how to fix soil but government gets in the way.
Only ones making money are the sellers and retailers. Farmers are getting screwed as usual. In 2022 they got paid 20 cents a pound. In 2023 it went up to 30 cents that's not enough to break even.
Very interesting but totally unsustainable. The damage to the environment and land is massive and irreversible. Enjoy those walnuts (and almonds) with a lot of guilt.

Thank you hardworking farmers
Walnuts are such a staple in kitchens worldwide, and this video really shows the effort that goes into their production. Amazing!
This video was fantastic. I loved every minute of it!
This is called the nature life . What a beauty
Excellent job on the harvest
Impressive to see the massive walnut harvest! Amazing work feeding the world
Your videos remind me to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. 🌼
I love the way you explain everything so clearly

So much effort goes into producing walnuts.
Agricultural machinery has helped people a lot.

I like to eat. Thank you.
Everyone should be eating these almost daily. So healthy.
Great video, thanks for sharing
Let's ensure sustainable farming practices are used to protect our environment while meeting global demands.

Thank you for sharing such interesting and useful knowledge
Excellente farming and efficient processing factory.. congrats to you and family.. 😊😊
where I don't have these things
Highly EDUCATIONAL, thanks.👍👍
Very nice collection....

The video provides useful insights into the entire supply chain, from orchard to production.
❤❤❤ فيديو رائع جدا انا احب شجرة الجوز جدا وأحب ثمار الجوز

Enjoy it while it last California is driving farmers out
The view is amazing, isn't it?
Great video as usual
Amazing work
Great effort's

Same as the carbon foot print of 1 battery for a Tesla
The best of the best😋😋
This is a paradise for squirrels
I love California nuts. One can taste the sunshine.
Very good.....
👏👏❤️💙💯👍👍👍
What do they do with the shells?
Mobile connectivity allows farmers to remotely monitor and control modern agriculture machines.
Amazing
I love pickled walnuts, you missed out at what stage are they picked for that process
Great video! What happens to the shells? Any nutrient value if crushed as animal feed? Thumbs up! T/Y
1.6 gallons of fresh water per walnut.
What is the use of shells once the fruit is removed ?
I saw a video on that, but I can't think of all the products they use them in. But, they do get used.
And to think I thought they were harvested by hand.
The use of drones alongside modern agriculture machines enhances monitoring and surveillance.
Thank you Captain obvious

Did I see that right. Bags with text Australian nuts being filled in California?
These got a lot of rain recently, huh?!
where is this farm
one shot had a packing plant in Chico California. They grow a lot of walnuts in the area.
Well..what you saw is Australian walnut farming.
Very informative, it’s very clear why California has such a problem with water et cetera. So many heavy vehicles generating so much dust and destroying the cell soil bacteria et cetera. An enormous amount of energy and water is clearly used in the processing never mind all those vehicles and different machines.
So that is why on the bag it states ‘australian’ all the best and never forget agenda2030 is a scam

Everyone talk about nutrients, healher food, but how animals fulfill their requirements when they only eats grass
I love walnuts, but they've become too expensive.
Not really they're at a alltime low. Farmers are getting paid around 30 cents per pound. Lost of orchards are being removed
Take your food
Damn it and they are so expensive, somebody is making a lot of money. The automation is amazing pretty sure the price could be lower.
Only ones making money are the sellers and retailers. Farmers are getting screwed as usual. In 2022 they got paid 20 cents a pound. In 2023 it went up to 30 cents that's not enough to break even.
do they harvest millions of walnuts?
or millions of tons?
Last year the US produced 790,000 tons second to China.
It's very hard to watch this video with background soundtrack..... Just horrible...
Soundtrack is perfect
@@daveklein2826 Soundtrack is horrible. It's people like you ruin videos.
Ok Joey
I think the music is fine, it seems like you're quite picky

Wow!!! It's horrendous!!! Monoculture at this scale is sooooo bad!!!!
Very interesting but totally unsustainable. The damage to the environment and land is massive and irreversible. Enjoy those walnuts (and almonds) with a lot of guilt.
This applies to all food .... Don't eat anything if you want to save the planet 😎😎😎😎
Oh stop it. There are 8 billion people who need to eat. How far are you going to go on vilifying food industries?
Walnuts and almonds have been farmed in California for 100 years. What is being damaged?
but it's delicious when I put it in my mouth, I don't care how it comes from, it just needs to be delicious
To much AI. I'm outahere

What they do with the shells?
