LOL- I just priced it, and while certainly more than the little bottles of FolkArt at Michael's, if the look is great, it's not a crazy splurge...unless you're creating a verdigris Colossus of Rhodes...
That looks truly fantastic, realistic and artistically done. I like the touch of gilding wax, but how well does this hold up outdoors? I'd like to use this on lanterns and lighting fixtures, and would coat with a satin poly, but with wax of course that won't work.
Love this. I am refinishing a outdoor wooden table top. I removed the paint...some of the old paint is still there. I'd like to keep it rugged. Should I prime it or do a base coat before applying patina? I sanded it too so it clean and smooth
Hello. I also love the look of a patina finish. have you ever tried patina paint on porcelain tiles. i am wanting to create my own backsplash using patina paint. I was wondering if there is anything i need to look out for. thank you.
I just purchased a resin lions head fountain that I think would look great with this finish. However, I live in Florida and I wonder if it will hold up in the elements. Any thoughts?
It's a shame Belle products are so expensive. I really wanted to try this, but I didn't want to pay over $36 for just two products for a single item I want to verdigris. The two paints cost more than the item I want to paint!
I love copper and the patina it forms. I've been too intimidated to try this, but thank you for making this so easy!
Thank you! It has my head spinning on items I already have
This is going to be a great idea for my heavy metal outdoor furniture. 🤩
Have fun Diane! 🌷
Very cool look! If I ever hit the lottery, I'll get some Dixie Belle paint.

Hey Denise. I have a large metal clock that I now know what to do with! Thank you for the great idea. I LOVE verdigris! Isn't it wonderful.

What color of the gilding wax did you use?
You put this outside? How did it hold up. Looks great by the way.
What about painting the outside of the fireplace insert?
Beautiful!💕
Thank you! 😊
Stunning!

Wow, love this!
Will the blue patina spray work on any copper paint, like Rust-Oleum or does it also have to be a patina paint?
It has to be a specific patina paint 👍 Great question btw!!
Love It !!!! It is a shame that the DB products are sooo expensive. I do believe I’m going to search out other less expensive brands.
Did you find any other brand ? Modern options has something similar
Nicely done!
Thanks :)
Can this finish be used on concrete
Very cool!👍🤘
Do you have a video of using thos on furniture?
would it work on stainless steel ?
Very nice!
How about for cement outdoor statue?
Yup, this will work :)

It is wonderful but you didn’t show, the way to spraying.
Isn't patina on iron called rust ??
Fun project! FYI it’s pronounced verdigrie as opposed to spelling- s is silent😮. Sorry I come from a family of English teachers
Thanks Katie, and thanks for the heads up on pronunciation.😊
