Hi from NZ just saw ur video..a good one too.. for your doubt. The pilots always have an iPad with the respective airport layout. Normally when a plane lands the atc transfers the plane to ground controls and informs the pilot the route to their respective gates normally when the plane moves out of runway to taxiway there are some letters displayed on the taxi way (yellow lit board on the side ) these are the marking for a designated ramp (drive way ) that leads to a particular gate of a particular section of the airport (may be terminal 1 or a).

I guess for flight taxing the pilot has to follow the runway ground lights at night which leads to correct parking place. The instructions given to pilot from control towers which light to follow. Correct me if I am wrong.

All Airlines which landing in busy airports communicate the gate location via ACARS system(aircraft communicating addressing and reporting system) , More or less a Text to the cockpit that the pilots can reference. Once off the Runway the Ground controller will direct the plane what taxiways to use. If they are not able to find through ACARS the Pnf system in aircraft call ramp(aprons) through a separate radio and people who standing in ramp will instruct pilot and illuminate lights.

As all the aircraft is observed by atc (air traffic control)and they suggest the pilot in which runway you have to land and taxi and the bay for parking
There are taxiways out of runway to the parking stand/Apron. Instructions will be given by ground controller (ATC ground control). If it's a huge airport there will be layouts for pilots and if visibility falls down, pilot can request for vehicles which moves ahead of aircraft and pilot can follow them ( Follow Me Vehicle).

Apron controllers manage the sequence of startups and pushbacks and route the aircraft to an agreed position adjacent to or on the taxiway, at which point they are transferred to the ground controller.
Inbound aircraft are transferred to the apron controller by the ground controller at another agreed position. The apron controller then routes the aircraft to it’s parking stand.
Some airports require apron control because of the layout, where the Tower controllers cannot clearly see the Apron situation.
In some places, an Apron controller is not technically an ATCO, because they don’t issue clearances (they “authorise” start and push) and therefore a full ATC license is not required. Also , Aprons are not part of the maneuvering area according to ICAO regulations.
In others, Apron can be split off from Ground to share workload during peak times.

Pilot gets mzg through the radar connection with ATC after successful landing .After that, the at controller will give the mzg to line up or taxi to an available gate...There is no reserved gate for the flights because in case of emergency, any flight should be able to get into the nearest gate...

For the pilots, like you have road signs, they have signs and markings for them to taxi to the assigned gate which will be taught to them in flying school.

A flight has always a contact with ATC (Air traffic Control). After the plane landed the runway they will contact for taxing the airport. And the ATC will assign them the the gate eg:A4 etc..After the get the gate the pilot will be having a map or they will having a direction on the taxi way. Then they will taxi the flight to the gate. This is how the flights are taxied to gate.
