I agree with a lot of points but the nun was a great movie as far as world building for the conjuringverse. Especially compared to Annabelle. I'll rewatch both the nun movies, can't say the same for any of the Annabelle movies or even the the most recent conjuring film.
Thank you for commenting. I vehemently disagree regarding The Nun especially with regards to how good it Could have been. I'll be coming with a review on it soon, but just to give you an idea: Setting: Gothic Sub-genre: Demonic They had the chance to take two of the absolute greatest institutions of Horror: the ambient backdrop of the Universal Monsters (dark castle, shadowy hallways, medieval architecture) and combine it with the greatest Horror movie of all time, The Exorcist, into an unholy union, and they blew it. What makes matters worse is those opportunities don't come around every day. 42 years between Dracula and The Exorcist, 45 years between The Exorcist and The Nun. Opportunity squandered. So much for "The Darkest Chapter of the Conjuring Universe"
