T99 and T124D Bigg's Orcas off Whidbey Island - March 29, 2024

pugetsoundexpress.com - The sun returned and so did the T99 & T124D families of Bigg's orcas. Our Port Townsend tour came upon this grouping off of Whidbey Island - and they were on the hunt! A gathering of sea lions stuck between shore and a buoy went on red alert as the orcas approached; we believe one of them was taken. We also stopped at Protection Island Wildlife Refuge where a huge haulout of harbor seals greeted us, as well as an elephant seal (apologies for long distance zoom/shaky video). Our Seattle (Edmonds) tour saw Gray Whale CRC-53 before also spending time with the T99s and T24Ds.
