I trust you mate, I followed your instructions to put the heatsink in, you helped me out when the pads you were suggesting were not available in Australia, I filed the heat sink corner down when it came up, and I've had Zero problems with it. Yea, I've been messaging said individual for a custom set of buttons (Black with Gold lettering) it hasn't gone over very well. And this video is making me need a 3D printer to get my own, plus track down your video about that heatsink.
So the best advice is rma it and get the new revised board where they fixed the issue. They’ll honor it for 2 years from the purchase. Some say it’s not the heat on the card but the heat on the chip for the reader or the there’s a fuse or thermal fuse that goes and it’s on the other side of the board not accessible without removing the whole board.
No and no. There’s a few better options out there but you can’t run them parallel like that and there’s def not enough room. You can fit an ally x battery in there but have to mod the cable and print a backplate wedge

Where there are some things that have changed like 1 of the sites for your performance optimization that you did for the Ally last year, would you consider doing an updated 2024 refresh version that takes into account both the Ally (Z1/Z1E), and the X? Also I'm still hoping that I may see you try the Atlas OS 0.4 update for Windows 11 both separate and possibly with your optimizations. On a personal note, I'm really hoping that we can get Handheld DIY to make an Ally X backplate Redux, if not the possibility if any one decides to do a full white case conversion with front and back panels. helloo, when you said ally og, I assumed its the non extreme, is there any parts/structural difference compared to the extreme version? I want this so bad with my ally z1E but im not sure if they adjusted some height on the dpad or something. I have some experience with laptops and pcs but this is my first handheld so Im just making sure i do it right the first time.
The z1 and z1e are the same. The only difference is the brand new rog ally “x” aka the black ally. The white ally all share the same parts except the cpu/apu is different but literally every other parts the same on the white ones but the ally x is all different
Hey CPPC TEK, I watched your video about the Ally back case from HanheldDiy, and I saw they also have hall effect joysticks, fast forward few weeks I got the joysticks, and installed it, but it seems I can't roll the joysticks properly, like if you check the calibrate option, when it asks you to rotate the joysticks, it does the up down left right properly but when it comes to the middle left middle right bottom left bottom right it doesn't do it properly. somewhat almost like a cross. Is there a way to fix these? can you recommend anything? or should i just revert back to the og joysticks?
I’ve done a few videos talking about the hhdiy stick and I don’t like them. There’s several issue. Best advice is doing the spring swap into an og ally sticks for the best of both worlds.

I get a lot of accidental presses while playing tekken that are so annoying with the stock D-pad. I saw people on reddit using electrical tap under the D-pad to help with the problem. With this mod still need the tape to help with the problem or would this be enough ?
I have done the nub in a diff spot than suggested and it’s super snug and no accidental presses. The official guide said to put the numb on the back side of the printed dpad but in fact the best way is use double sided tape about 0.1mm thick and cut it just right and tape it to the board. Flat side against the board. Perfect tolerance. Zero wobble. Zero issues.
hhmm i just get a rog ally few days before... done my first installations...try some games. its just to figure out whats going.... but all my games runnig fine...and all in low settings ..look so damn good on it. ithink the first thing is,put a bigger ssd in. and som hall effekt sticks... that ,ithink i can do by my self. that dont look complicated....in the past i change the case of a motorola startac phone....damn sweat driving work. but iam impressed what this llil thing can run. wow...for the next years its enough,and i have enough old games ,thats still quit enough. so i can easy wait for the next generation.
Do you know anyone that will make blue sticks for me. I don't need anyone to replace them for me I know how I done did it but really I want 1 blue stick and 1 hot pink stick. So could you recommend someone that will make them. Even if you pm me would be cool. Because I will never be able to get a 3d printer due to my health issues.
@@cppctek ty ty ty and I'm sorry if I got on your nerves. It dose tick me off that all these companies will make 3rd party sticks and stuff for all kinds of devices. But one of the most easiest devices to mod and it's crickets. That's the frustrating part like it's been a year now

No the X backplate won’t fit they are not the same sizes and curvature
