Someone should tell that guy they make nets for pier fishing
Nice fish. I saw the guy who lost a fish because his line snapped trying to pull fish up so far and you were having to do the same. I used to have that problem but about 20 yrs ago i learned if i took a metal basket out of one of the old school freezers and use rope and basically go through each corner and come up to a common center point on each and tie that and have bout 20 plus feet of rope with a loop with slide knot so it dont slip off your wrist you can drop it dont and ease a fish into it and raise the fish with no stress on fishing line.

@@CharlieHudgins no problem. I love fishing and if i can help someone improve their experience and get or land more fish im all about that. I been trying to get up that way to fish there myself and just doing my research on it there. Im used to ft gaines and columbia al dams. The basket thing came along because of the 27 ft drop where i fished in cumbia all my life. It works great. And can be done all by yourself while fighting the fish hence the wrist loop
Or jus walk down the cat walk lol n get him that's what I do when I catch stripers out there

About 26-28 inches. Almost 7 pounds
Just walk them down to the cat walk bro that way you don't have to pull them all the way up or spend extra on nets n strings
