Lost my cat in February. She was the best companion and her snuggles got me through the loss of my husband. She was almost 19 and even though my asthma was made worse by her, with medications I was able to do okay and care for her with love. Some people don't believe an animal can go to heaven but when my time comes, I know that she'll be there as my reward and we will be reunited again. Right now she and my husband are waiting together for me. I'm in no hurry to join them but one day..........🐈⬛
I adopted my cat from a shelter when she was 8. She had been there for months and I couldn’t understand why no one had wanted her. She was the most beautiful animal I had ever seen with taupe and midnight brown stripes on her back, a beige belly with sharply contrasted dark spots and piercing green eyes. I held her once and I knew we had a special bond, despite never having been a cat person per se (I didn’t think cats liked me). She was scared and underweight when I brought her home. I didn’t force affection or even attention from her. I just spoke to her softly, fed her consistently at the same times everyday, and waited patiently with no expectations. She gradually started approaching me and when my husband was in the room (or anyone else), she would nuzzle herself under my arm and peek out. I was her safe space and that was just fine with me. As weeks went by, she would spend less and less time under the bed. She began nuzzling her head on my face, “talking” to me (her meow legit sounds like “hello” ☺️), running to greet me at the back door when I would get home, and sleeping in her safe space under my arm at night. She is now 13 and my family calls her my shadow because she is always by my side. Luna is healthy, happy, and sleeps on my pillow with her face touching mine every night. She hasn’t needed to hide under my arm for a long time but she knows I will always be her safe place. It’s truly a love like no other and I hope everyone gets to be a cats “person” at least once in their lives. ❤
It took a while for my kitty to come out of his shell. Others overlooked him because he’s shy and skittish. He hid for a while but two months in he jumped into bed with me and cuddled on my chest. He was there for several years. But he has blossomed and is so sweet and also greets me at the door. Juno enjoys forehead kisses and belly rubs. I am so glad his picture spoke to me. He did give me the stank eye when I first met him tho 🤣
That’s such a beautiful story. Luna will have many more years with you because she is safe and happy and content. No fear. It will let her age beautifully beside you. Congratulations! My oldest cat was 26 when she passed, I’ve never lost a cat under the age of 19, just so you know. You could easily have another 10 years with Luna. Yay! ❤❤❤
I hear that. We adopted our cat at 17 years old since his owner couldn’t keep him anymore. And the cats that old getting sent to the shelter would be bad news. He wound up having lots of med problems a year later when he was 18 and had to go to the Animal Hospital twice to save his life. The one was like a special hospital since his normal one was closed and he needed this anyway. It almost looks like a human hospital. It was huge inside. He’s on lots of medicine to treat many things but he’s 19 years old now and seems like he’s loving life.
+1 to that - i live with 2 cats, one that is family and one that is - well, she owns the apartment complex ;) Anyhow, both are very understanding, they have patience, and they make sure I get my morning sleep. Cats are WAY more intelligent than most people give them. And with the right education - which here in Dubai seems to be common, there must be some cat school that they run - they are considerate of human culture.
My former neighbor's Russian Blue chose me in most of this. He was my first and only non human best friend. His name was Ippy. Havent seen him in almost 10 years... I miss that little cat.... I've never bonded with any animal let alone a cat like that before in my life. He even sat on my shoulder like a pikachu. It was such a special bond...
@@barbaradoheny4473 I wish I could... Sadly I'm not sure if Ippy is still alive after all these years. I met him back in 2007.... Also my wife is allergic to cats and dogs....
@barbaradoheny4473 I hope I can one day. My wife is unfortunately allergic. Ippy was pretty old and lost his voice last I seen him just before I moved away... it hurts to think this way but he may have passed away a while ago....

You could be describing my brown tabby, Louie. Our favorite may well be staring and blinking at one another (Louie, I think, is trying to teach me Morse code, but alas, I'm a slow learner. That's ok. He's a very patient fellow). We shouldn't forget that cats have been around millions of years longer than our kind. They've had a very long time to figure things out. A most extraordinary creature!
I was telling my friend that I think my kitten imprinted on me, (and vice versa). He does all of these things, and jumps on me with kiss attacks when I come home from work. We're good buddies for life.
Finally a video that combines cuteness with actual, scientifically-proven facts. So many other channels insist that your cat thinks you are a huge, weird-looking cat, or that they see themselves as tiny humans ... as if they were blind and stupid. They know very well we are vastly different ... and that we are incredibly-skilled hunters who always manage to obtain huge amounts of food, despite being slow, clumsy, and clawless 😄
So true! Healthy cats behave with pride in who they are. My adopted senior Siamese-mix girl stays indoors for her health, safety and my peace of mind, but I saw her prey drive all intact when she killed a house mouse and brought it into our den (bedroom).
Whenever I lay on the sofa to take a snooze, all 3 climb on top of me. One on my chest, one under my arm and another on my legs. Keep me toasty in the winter time....lol
Edgar decided to be my cat. Like, from first meeting. When he was a kitten, he would wake me up in the middle of the night, nursing on my earlobe. Which is a terrible way to wake up, believe it. I get all the affection. He screams at me if he doesnt get his morning squish soon enough. I learned that he considered petting to be a two way street. He doesnt bite if I let him lick my thumb every so often. Edgar's favourite thing in the world is when I lean my chair back and put my feet up so he can lay right beside my head and nap.
Talking was definitely the ice breaker with my Shina. I always encouraged her by responding to her meows and now we understand each other completly without needing to speak the same language!
I have 2 cats. One, "Possum" is a 14 year old calico. She is always purring. She will purr for anyone. She's not a fussy eater. She has this attitude of "Love me, I'm beautiful". My other cat is a Grey tabby. She will purr for me only when she is on the bed with me. Anyone else, growl & hiss. She is a very fussy eater, she will turn her nose up a can of Tuna.
My two cats do nearly all these things (except greeting me at the door, though I have had others that did this routinely). Right now my little computer-desk pal is bunting me as I type, and dusting the keyboard with a light snowfall of fur. And his sister is probably on the bed on her favorite fleece throw.
Sign 11 - they talk to you? Our cat has DEFINITELY imprinted on us. Let me tell you one story: Our cat wanted out at night - which we don't let him do. I kept saying "No more outs, Creamsicle." My wife came out of the bedroom, Creamsicle walked up to her, looked up, and clear as a bell said "Mom?" - like he went over my head. She didn't let him out, either...
We have 10 indoor/outdoor cats. They’re pretty free on our 500 acre ranch. Yet they come in every day and touch base with me. Of course they know who touches them. I know who comes up to me just by the sound of their purr, voice, tip tap, movements too. I talk to every cat and I always make sure to acknowledge everybody in the room when I enter and when I leave. I touch heads, I pet butts, I boop noses if I know I can… we are all friends with lots of respect for each other and our spaces. We always say hello and bye bye. My cats are happy and fulfilled.
I also adopted my cat back in 2017 during my recovering from my first Knee Replacement; actually when I went to the ASPC Adoption Center I sat down with one of the Employees to help me find a cat. As I sat down she let this little i year old out of her cage and the car walked up to me an smelled my hand and licked me and sat next to me.The lady told me when ca does this they choose only you to be their friend. I have had Valentina to this date and I just wanted to say she is well trained and I don't have to worry about her tearing up my furniture, etc in my Studio Apartment.
That's such a heartwarming story about how you met Valentina! It's amazing how she just knew you were the one for her the moment she was let out of her cage. And the fact that she's been such a well-behaved companion, especially in a studio apartment, just goes to show you two were meant to be together. It’s incredible how animals can be such a comfort, especially during recovery times like your knee replacement. Sounds like Valentina’s not just a pet, but a real buddy who’s made your place truly feel like home. 🐾💖
I have 4 rescue cats that are absolutely sweethearts to me but you can forget them doing anything with my fiancé or kids… they follow me all over the house and they HAVE to sleep with me or they jus tear up my house 😂 one of my boys will straight up argue with you ❤❤
Ive had my cat since she was a kitten, her mom was a neighborhood stray that had a litter of beautiful black cats we just had to give a proper home. Even now at almost 4 years old she doesn't like pillows, blankets, or anything soft, preferring to sleep on mainly plastic bags from the store, and Amazon delivery bags. I have one of those set up at the foot of my bed that she's obsessed with 😅 Apparently when I'm gone to work she sleeps on my old backpack
My son and I have a very strange relationship. He stares me in the eye but does not and will not slow blink at me. He simply stairs as though he says..."I know you love me, I Do love you but I am not affectionate".
One of my ex girlfriend's cats would sit on my lunch cooler every morning before I went to work, and he'd let me pick him up like a baby, on his back. If she tried that, he would flip out. I miss that cat. Don't miss my ex at all, but I miss that cat.
Our cat does all those with all four of us. She tends to rotate who she sleeps with but when none of us are sleeping she naps either on the wife's pillow or our youngest's bed. When any of us are gone for an extended period she gets agitated and practically smothers that one when they get back.
It's funny I saw this today. My female Tuxedo climbed in bed with me at 3:30 AM & started making biscuits on my back! She just picks the strangest times to show affection ❣️ 😂😂😻
My two do all these things. Just at the part about talking to them, I said "Hello sweetie" or one of my usual phrases to the younger one, who was curled up on the bed (her usual spot)and she marched up on top of me and started bunting.
My cat has definitely imprinted on me. I love her so much! She's definitely my shadow and i am afraid of tripping on her. When i get ready to leave, she senses that. And perches on my purse or my shoes. She's always waiting at the door for me.
Cats communicate in so many ways-through their eyes, ears, and even the way they carry themselves-so it's great that you've become attuned to those subtler cues. It just goes to show how deep the communication between you and your cat can go when you're paying close attention. You’re doing an awesome job by being so in tune with your cat's needs and feelings. It's clear your cat has someone who truly gets them, tail or no tail. 🐾💕
I love when my cat just puts his teeth on my hand or arm, and my cat always lays down on my sneakers, slippers constantly and I can't close the bathroom door ever, he'll paw it, meow. It's been like that for 14 years.
Way to bond is as soon u bring them home do this immediately is to cuddled up to them rocking back and forth saying their name over and over so not only do they learn they know you are safe aswell did that to all my pets they afterwards started following me round both dogs and cat get extremely sassy and wanting To be as close to you as they was when u first gotten them when u cuddled and rock them
My cats do at least 75% of these things if not more. I wake up all the time with my babies snuggled up to me. I have two amazing babies. I always stress out thinking thinking about when they are gone, will i be able to find others with this connections?
Its crazy how many of these things my cat does. Everyone tells me he even acts like me. Ive seen many of these type of vids and no matter what it always makes me feel good because hes not my pet, hes my son. Love my Paw Paw.😁
My youngest cat likes to sleep on my chest, first thing at night. He makes biscuits and chews on my blanket but she wants the bedspread over her. She likes being under the covers should I say between covers. She likes to put her head on my chest to hear my heartbeat
I used to purr with her i got the sound just right she knew i was doing it made her happier but you run out of breath and have to take another big one she was deaf so we did most sign anddouble taps on floor or tripple taps we did all of these she imprinted before she could see 19 yesrs ago shes eveen saved my life 2 times befoee and iv saved hers aswell, we spent days squinting at eachother i was so lucky to get an angora with Norwegian forest and maincoon maybe 3rd 4th gen down iv had over a dozen this one stayed with me never whent far besides the two pregencies when she was 3 to 4 smartest proudest fittest most loving thing iv ever had in my life, a dog is more like a slave but we were more a team, i used to flex infront of her front lat flrx angry pose with face neck all tensed it made her so happy seriously smartest thing on the planet they remember everything my only real motivation was to show of to her to see if she would react she got to see me grow up like i did her and she was so proud all the time no one could replace me to her there was always problems when we werent together god i cant deal with putting her down due to FKD we just wanted more time together the betrayal Feeling is impossible to get over thier needs to be more on fixing it and less on theres no hope everything has a way to be fixed Getting another just feels like more betrayal
Both of my cats have fully imprented on me completely then. I always figured they knew i wanted to help. But never knew why no one else was allowed to. Same with the love bites, and the nails. None of my cats have ever drawn blood from me. Even by accident . Everyone else turns into a scratch post. All of this is actually insane. Lmao. Everything thats mine is slept on, the second its off me. No matter what.-. No matter how inconvenient-.- My favorite part is the door. My door greeters keep me going when they rush to the door, or ones already there. I could go on with this entire list. Everything is to a T for both mercury and kilo. Simese and maincoon. Purebreads. And theyre both slinkies. If you get this then you get it, but my cats promote me holding them how ever i want to. They even sleep like people on their backs like me. Or on the side. Depends what im doing. But you should see how they look on there backs, with their heads on the pillow, and their little paws sticking out of the top of the blanket near their heads! Its the best
Seems our domesticated feral cats have imprinted on me. They do all these things. The female only lets me pick her up. The male is so laid back and chill. He’s more domesticated than some house cats I know.
Yarp. I wear a houserobe always at home. T-shirt under it and that's all. I only get fully dressed to go out somewhere. Didn't use to, but now when I take it off to go to sleep, I lay it on the seat of my chair at my comp desk in my room. Poof it a bit and lay my shirt over it. Now he spends at least part of every night there. Or his bed next to my pillow. Has another spot in next room for when I wake him too much, like rolling over and jostling him. And when it's play time, I go "k k k k" and shake my head a bit. He'll go right for my body pillow and get redy for rsmbunctions. He's viewed that giant pillow as a huge toy since day one. I use it to get him chasing a little one around it and under it. He also sleeps on it during the day.
Can we please point out that imprinting is a very specific behavioral term when used in the context of animals and that cats are not one of the species does it. Bonding would be more appropriate for this discussion.
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. 😢 It's tough losing a furry friend. Sending you lots of love and hugs, and I hope our videos bring you some comfort. ❤️🐾
Our cat imprinted on my spouse and it's annoying. He goes to the mailbox and the cat cries the whole time. The cat will only come to me after my spouse goes to bed. If he hears him coming, he will jump off my lap and jump onto my spouse's recliner.
Cats are little bottles of happiness. Nothing nicer than the presence of felines. They really do have a remarkeble influence on our lives. For instance, is legit proven that being around cats can lower blood pressure.

So I guess I was right when I was younger I had a cat and I started to mimic his behavior back slow blinks meows and the likes I was right cuz I was just taking a guess cuz I was so young I figured maybe he would understand it and mean and ended up with such a deep bond that when we ended up being separated he ran away and straight up did Homeward Bound don't know how but he found me again he escaped out of my grandma's back door ran away and found me again 6 years later he escaped from my grandma cuz I had been gone a while and I assumed he was going to go and look for me it took him six years but he found me totally randomly in a different part of town pretty far away we just both happened to be at the same place at the same time
It doesn't sound silly at all. It sounds like a normal day to me. You see I'm an addict. Its call stupidous felinist Yeah, I'm just really stupid for cats. 😂😂😂
Heh. Never really thought about it, but I guess cats really imprint on me alot. Not even my cats. Many times when sleeping over atvacfriends his cat would sleep with me. Been so long since I *didn't* have a cat sleeping with mebit bugs me not to. So I rarely stay overnight at friends causevI sleepbshite anyway. I'm just a huge suck for cats. They know it. There's only been one cat in my entire 52 years where we didn't like each other.
Do deaf cats vocalize differently to humans than to other cats? Anyone who cites a study (supporting either answer) will get an IOU for a billion internet points.
Lost our angel about 6 years ago. It still seems like yesterday. We had to clean his cat box after each use. When he snuggled with dad, he waited for a warm from the dryer, CLEAN blankey to dose off. The house had numerous tents made for his convenience. He was not spoiled, just loved, as he loved us.We saw his . Even outside, as he stared at the birds and sky. When he went over the rainbow, we got two bouquets and 4 sympathy notes from our vets. NOT just our vet, but the ones that treated him briefly when he had a seisure. What a surprise and comfort. Still, want him back. His name was AMI, in French...friend. our best!!!!
I have had serveral cats! And they all have their personalities.. But two of them where not like the others: 1) I called him Fritz. We have had him from his birth. He allways slepped under my duvet, between my legs. How coud't he breathe!?!! We played fighting, and he sucked on my finger, like sucking on his mom, who died while giving birth. He where my best friend! Until he where drove over by a semitruck. Miss him. 2) The last cat behaved like a pasha! I where just a slave to his needs. Letting him out, and letting him in again few minutes later. Just to keep me going. Little b@stard ;D He thought, he owned me!!! So, there are different personalities amongst cats! For shure!
In my experience if the cat locks eyes with you it's about to swat you in the face because like all cats it's an asshole. Same goes for tripping, they're just assholes trying to kill you.

I have 3 cats but they are not very affectionate. Lol but they come like my dogs do.😅
One of my ex girlfriend's cats would sit on my lunch cooler every morning before I went to work, and he'd let me pick him up like a baby, on his back.
Dogs have owners, Cats have staff ..😊
It's funny I saw this today. My female Tuxedo climbed in bed with me at 3:30 AM & started making biscuits on my back! She just picks the strangest times to show affection ❣️ 😂😂😻
My two do all these things. Just at the part about talking to them, I said "Hello sweetie" or one of my usual phrases to the younger one, who was curled up on the bed (her usual spot)and she marched up on top of me and started bunting.
My 17-year-old Ragdoll does all of these. She's been with me since she was 9 months old.
When Your Cat has it's Claws Inbedded in Your Skin, That Says it All! YOUR MINE NOW!
My cat has definitely imprinted on me. I love her so much! She's definitely my shadow and i am afraid of tripping on her. When i get ready to leave, she senses that. And perches on my purse or my shoes. She's always waiting at the door for me.
My cat doesn’t have a tail, so I feel like the only person in my house that understands my cat’s body language
Likewise!
I love when my cat just puts his teeth on my hand or arm, and my cat always lays down on my sneakers, slippers constantly and I can't close the bathroom door ever, he'll paw it, meow. It's been like that for 14 years.
Kneading; we call it "poddling" in our house!! >XD
Every cat I have ever had has needed, except for the 7 year old male I have had since he was about 8 weeks old. I've never seen him do it even once.
about belly: it`s true about dogs, too! :))
Way to bond is as soon u bring them home do this immediately is to cuddled up to them rocking back and forth saying their name over and over so not only do they learn they know you are safe aswell did that to all my pets they afterwards started following me round both dogs and cat get extremely sassy and wanting To be as close to you as they was when u first gotten them when u cuddled and rock them
My husband does all sorts to try to get my cat to move and m cat ignores him. I come along and say "excuse me" and she moves right away. Lol
Thank you for not claiming they think we're just big cats.
“Maybe give them a treat” *cut to clip with a mouse*
I had an autistic service cat growing up, and the only 2 signs that she never did were 13 and 12.
2 of my 4 cats do all 14 signs with me, the other two more than half
My cat kneads in my neck and head. It’s painful af, but I can’t say no to her 😭
Oh yeah. Krissy just loves to lay in my lap and get her pets in
Bear 🐻 follows me every where. Bear has started to letting me pet his belly.
Becoming best friends with your cat. Then they get sick and die and you feel sad, empty, and alone...
And all the colours in the world fade to grey. Those little furbabies really get under your skin and into your heart.
Then you get a new cat and fall in love again.
And you take solace in remembering how beautiful and loving they were
Special spot! Nope, they are right ontop of my chest the moment im on the bed
My youngest cat likes to sleep on my chest, first thing at night. He makes biscuits and chews on my blanket but she wants the bedspread over her. She likes being under the covers should I say between covers. She likes to put her head on my chest to hear my heartbeat
I wanted another cat which we now have. So who does she like best? My husband and will often sleep on top of him.
Your title photo looks exactly looks like my cat
I used to purr with her i got the sound just right she knew i was doing it made her happier but you run out of breath and have to take another big one she was deaf so we did most sign anddouble taps on floor or tripple taps we did all of these she imprinted before she could see 19 yesrs ago shes eveen saved my life 2 times befoee and iv saved hers aswell, we spent days squinting at eachother i was so lucky to get an angora with Norwegian forest and maincoon maybe 3rd 4th gen down iv had over a dozen this one stayed with me never whent far besides the two pregencies when she was 3 to 4 smartest proudest fittest most loving thing iv ever had in my life, a dog is more like a slave but we were more a team, i used to flex infront of her front lat flrx angry pose with face neck all tensed it made her so happy seriously smartest thing on the planet they remember everything my only real motivation was to show of to her to see if she would react she got to see me grow up like i did her and she was so proud all the time no one could replace me to her there was always problems when we werent together
god i cant deal with putting her down due to FKD we just wanted more time together the betrayal
Feeling is impossible to get over thier needs to be more on fixing it and less on theres no hope everything has a way to be fixed
Getting another just feels like more betrayal
I love cats 🥰
My cat would go to bed when I did, laying on the pillow next to mine with his head or upper body on or across my shoulder and chest.
My cat climbs up my chest to give me a kiss when she is on a chair or the arm of the couch.🥰
My cat either runs for the door when I come home, or He sleeps in front of the door. I cant hardly get the door open because Hes lying there.
No matter how inconvenient-.-
My favorite part is the door.
Its the best
my cat and i are basically the same person. we r inseperable.
And play bite your knees, it tickles, they don’t stop until you do what they want. Smart.
My cat lets me pick him up and carry him, he even falls asleep while I am carrying him
Seems our domesticated feral cats have imprinted on me.
My brother has 2 cats and 1 doesn't let anyone carry it besides my lil niece 😅. She's the only one that can carrying it and keep it with her.
Some days my 2 cats won't shut up!😂😂😂
Can we please point out that imprinting is a very specific behavioral term when used in the context of animals and that cats are not one of the species does it. Bonding would be more appropriate for this discussion.
ur thumbnail looks exactly like a cat i lost years ago, she wasn't used to going out but let out a few hours per year, think a coyote got her :(
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. 😢 It's tough losing a furry friend. Sending you lots of love and hugs, and I hope our videos bring you some comfort. ❤️🐾
My cats and I sip coffee and discuss current events.
Oh, no! I’ve been imprinted on! 😳
The cat owns you , not the other way around even I know that one

im imprinted to my cat .. I love him to death .. ❤
Can cats imprint on several people?
Well... my cat does it all... except the using the toilet...
imprinting basically means falling in love with someone ...
Do deaf cats vocalize differently to humans than to other cats? Anyone who cites a study (supporting either answer) will get an IOU for a billion internet points.
Me tryn find my cat
Lost our angel about 6 years ago. It still seems like yesterday. We had to clean his cat box after each use. When he snuggled with dad, he
waited for a warm from the dryer, CLEAN blankey to dose off.
After I had surgery my cat wouldn’t leave my side’
Except for the obvious
Here is #15: When your cat gives birth to kittens on your legs.
I have had serveral cats! And they all have their personalities..
But two of them where not like the others:
1) I called him Fritz.
For shure!
Feline affection is very dependent on who turns on the can opener. 😉

In my experience if the cat locks eyes with you it's about to swat you in the face because like all cats it's an asshole. Same goes for tripping, they're just assholes trying to kill you.
My kittie was grooming my hand today, and then started to nibble on it.

All nice and good with this video, however, the proper English pronoun for a cat is "it" and not "they". Don't jump on that new speak, it is annoying.
Dear lord. Really?
