If I set my radio to a simplex frequency it seems to work okay but when I program in repeaters I can only hear the audio when I press the menu button. I bought three of these radios and none of them work properly they're all coming back
I’m a bit dim and you helped me figure out why my radio wasn’t putting out a signal. Please be careful transmitting without an antenna, it can badly damage the radio.👍😎 Thx for helping me.
Sir, how to fix the no signal issue? Example i try to call but not receiving of the other side because of no signal antenna indicate on the screen only signal bar appear.
I am getting signal and white noise but nobody talking except the weather. I have tried 2 different citys but nothing. No ham radio or police. If anybody has ideas I would appreciate
my UV5R would not receive turned out to be the fake NAGOYA antenna , has blue printing on the base. I bought a real NAGOYA antenna Silver Printing, now the radio works again

Yeah I'm having a similar problem. If I go to 14652 with two radios I can hear both of them but if I go on to the repeaters I never hear anyone I just sit there listening to dead air until I hit the menu button and then magically I can hear the conversation for 3 seconds. I was told these radios are hot garbage but I bought three of them anyway. I'm going to try and get my money back through Amazon
Stinking "privacy codes". I hate privacy codes! Nothing private about them. Some of these cheap Chinese radios go to a default privacy code once you turn them off. Always scroll through your entire menu to check the settings. Do NOT trust the radio.

what is the problem if my uv5r only working on uhf and cant connect on vhf channel
My r ctcs was already off I tern it on then off again and it fixed my problem hopefully it doesn't happen again

Do not transmit without any sort of antenna attached!

This is so stupid to transmitting without an antenna it may burn damage the set.
keep keying up without the antennas they'll work great
