There are a lot of people who still believe that triggers make you faster, they don't, they just allow for more clarity, and I have seen many drummers blast without triggers and still sound good. Some commenters here should do research before posting anything.

I know the snare is triggered but I'm always amazed by how the sticks goes far up even though you go super fast !
Aurélien C a lot of it is the drum head. He uses a marching drum head which, if you don't know, have insane amounts of rebound allowing him to play faster for less work

But how this can be developed?.. He can play fast and powerful even at the cymbals and toms, watch some of his old videos.

Nick Collins check out Hannes Grossmann’s Hybrid Technique video. A lot of drummers (including Sam) use this or a similar technique, either which is a mix of fingers and wrist

yes he is, he using heel toe for the faster sections, singles which look to be just ankle motion for the slower double bass sections! BEAST
TRXdrummer Ugghh Ive tried so hard to learn double strokes I can only do singles, Ive done swivel for the longest but my knees are in pain most of the time now, Ive take a few weeks off playing to recover a bit.
one thing I've found thats helped me gain a TON of speed while not even using swivel is i sit down and play singles at a slower tempo but for usually like an hour to 2 hours. yesterday i played singles at 140 bpm for an hour and then had no trouble at all playing at 200 without using swivel
haha! I'll give it a shot, like seriously though I just dont have much leg muscle you could probably wrap your thumb and index finger around my ankle! I started doing the exercises George Kollias recommended starting at 90 bpm but when I go from pads to drums I'm like fuuuucckkk! :)
