U have pulled a gamer move on me
No the oddest nascar wrecks
Do
Please
nascarfan4888JJ it’s just an idea
7:05 "the onboard view from junior's car"
*cuts to onboard view from a different race*
Very smooth
The last few years are a bit sad considering his concussion repercussions after 2012
His concussion issues really started in 2002. It really explains a lot of why his performance plateaued so early in his career.
@@captainnebulous2918 still an amazing driver on those speedways, #pidepiper
2001...that was the first race after Sr.'s death, and that crash looked eerily similar.
And it happened on the first lap at that..
When was the 2001 one?
@@caliber9005 at 3:33
I remember it shook NASCAR up for awhile too, just the angle of that crash
@@davidmills4674 Sr's crash was the last lap
13:07 I thought that Darrell was Darrell Cartrip not Tow Mater
chase smith lol!!!
You should do this for every driver! Love these
Ya aint gonna love it if ur in the car
But we’re not in the car so we’re still going to love it
No he shouldn't.
Tracks in which they occurred: 1997 at Gateway, 1998 at Daytona, 1999 at Rockingham, 2000 at Darlington, 2001 at Rockingham, 2002 at Auto Club/California (crash started his concussions that would plague him for the rest of his career), 2003 at Dover (this was caused by him blacking out), 2004 at Atlanta, 2005 at Las Vegas, 2006 at Pocono, 2007 at Atlanta (I consider this sabotage), 2008 at Talladega (thanks a lot Edwards for turning your teammate by doing a tandem draft in the corner), 2009 at New Hampshire, 2010 at Daytona, 2011 at Daytona, 2012 at Talladega, 2013 at Michigan, 2014 at Texas, 2015 at Phoenix, 2016 at Talladega (RIP Amelia), and 2017 at Daytona.
I saw an interview that Jr told Larry Mac he got a concussion from the 98 Daytona wreck. It was the reason he wasn't at Daytona for Sr's 500 win.
@@kevco83 Well he did do a Brendan Gaughan flip through the air as if it were Tony Hawk: Pro Skater and plowed into the grass with the bottom. That bruised his back and sent that shockwave up his spine.
@@mattkowal90 Yes that was a wild flip, that car must have gone like 10 to 15 feet in the air. He said he hit his head during that flip, but yes that landing must have been hard on the body.
@@kevco83 I happen to know because I drove go-karts up at Pocono without shocks on a bumpy temporary course in the parking lot. It jostled me so hard that my groin was in pain. Also I found a lump in my groin, was scared, and it turns out it was a Calcium Pearl! Either I chipped my spine or it was from running track and cross country that was loosened. My groin felt like I had a pair of 5 lb barbells attached.
@@mattkowal90 Ouch, that must have hurt.
Sure do miss hearing BP!
That 2005 Vegas crash was pretty bad and nobody really ever talks about it. No wonder the guy had so many concussions. He had a ton of hard hits
looks like a lot of those early ones did not have the benefit of safer barriers
I think this Vegas wreck might have been just about the end of him. Especially after he had that wreck at Sonoma in 2004 where the car caught fire and burned him up pretty bad. But you look at his finishes prior to that wreck and after it. It's not even close. Sure, he won some races, had some decent finishes, but he was never a real championship contender again.
This is a really good series. Keep it Up. I see a couple of the crashes that I felt would be on this video
That California crash is hard to watch.
2012 part wasn’t his hardest of that year. No one has the footage of his Kansas wreck from the test session, but that was sparked up the concussion issue again for Junior.
Nah that started in 2002, when he came on the radio saying "help me help me"
Then never seeked treatment
@@willydawg99thus " sparked up the concussion issue *again* "
@@housesports000 you don't "spark up a concussion issue again"
It's not like it comes and goes stupid....it was there the whole time
Way to be simple minded as fuck🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That california crash from '02 has always made me cringe...HARD hit
Just a random fact: a driver like this took at least 20 hard hits in his life (and counting only the worsts per year, not including the rest). Imagine what a NASCAR driver has to encounter once he retires with his head health for the rest of his life.
1:55 didn't he have a bigger wreck in Milwaukee Practice? I Guess there's no footage so you had to go with Rockingham.
Exactly
That blue AC Delco Chevrolet was one of the best paint schemes ever
At 11:00 when dale Jr explain what happen in his interview I had moment that man this is something that his daddy would say. 😊
6:55 no flaps?
Jr has such a big heart, when he crashes into the number 17 at 10:17 he pushes him right down past the yellow line until he's safe
Concussions at 4:36, 5:34 and 13:14. Not shown are the 2012 Kansas test crash and the 2016 Michigan crash.
Kansas test crash?
@@randomkdm Dale was doing a tire test for Goodyear in 2012 at Kansas. At the end of his run, he blew a tire and went head on into the turn 1 wall at 185 mph. Hit was so loud it was heard in the infield. There's no video of it.
The 2002 crash was the one that caused concussion problems for Dale jr for over 15 years
Cito Browne no it was 2014
TonyStewartfanfor Life no 2016, 2014 Jr raced all races
@@tonystewartfan2014 he did not suffer any concussions in 2014...that we know of.
LGPnJR8788 Texas in 2014 when he killed the grass you mean ??
Dale had at least 25 minor concussions in his career. His first big one was when he turned over in 1998. He lived in an era where "suck it up and move on" was the treatment for brain injuries.
I recommend you all read his book Racing to the Finish. Very informative about what he went through with his concussion issues, among other things.
I’d retire early too.
Do tony Stewart next
Yea
2001 Daytona 500 was bad
@@tonystewartfan2014 worst race ever tbh... rip dale earnhardt.
Wasn't Tony Stewart the one who accidentally hit and killed Kevin Ward Jr. in sprint car racing?
@@michaelmorbius5716 Yes from what I heard
2009 I was at that race when I was a second grader in elementary school. I started crying when he got spun out and a fully grown couple started crying also.
That guy had some hard hits in his career. No wonder the concussions took their toll
2009 also had that really underrated hard hit at Watkins Glen when Junior lost the brakes going into turn 6 and wiped himself plus Reed Sorenson out.
2:52 Dale Earnhardt inc wrecks
9:40 Rick Hendricks wrecks
Maybe on your racingfan account start doing these with drivers involved in more than 1 motorsport, like Danica Patrick
You know these guys have nightmares about those concrete walls.
Only Dale jr would drive over grass and catch on fire😂
Can you do Kenseth next?
You should do Elliott Sadler next!
LOVE DALE JR WITH ALL MY HEART AND ALWAYS WILL MISS SEEING HIM RACE
Can you do Jimmie Johnson next
The 02 hit started it all, hard to watch all the driver side hits he actually took, this isn’t even counting wrecks like the Kansas tire test either 😞 hard hits
Pain
What day did this happen?
That pocono wreck in 06 was the first race I ever went to
Next do Danica Patrick
*but but , I don't have an hour to watch all of that*
@@TheNewsChannel lucky for you its only 1 crash from each year so it wouldnt be that long
You should've put his Corvette crash at Sonoma in 2004 on the list
I thought about it, but I just want to keep it to NASCAR. That way in future videos of drivers that have driven in multiple series, I can just limit it to NASCAR.
He said in an interview that this crash caused one of his bad concussions which is ultimately why he had to retire from racing because he had 3 of them and 2 years time and that's not good
Surprised you went with the 2017 Coke 400 instead of the 500 when he got crashed from the lead and went airborne
I can feel in these videos how much Darrell Waltrip cares about Jr.
Do this for Michael Christopher McDowell 😳
Watching these it occurs to me he spent remarkably little time upside down for someone who was routinely in the thick of it at super-speedways.
You should do Ryan Newman next
Worst Martin Truex Jr crashes plz!
I'll do him when the season is over! I did the Kyle Busch one then he had a worse crash the next week... Just unfortunate
Surprised they didn't have the wreck where he and Steve Park collided at Pocono.
Auto Club was harder. It got him a concussion. Park's car kind of cushioned the blow for Jr at Pocono.
You should do Jimmie next
6:11 the exact moment when he lost the championship that year
Man dale jr had such shit Luck
This is content
Do Jimmie Johnson next
Do worst mark Martin crashes next
That’s a good one!
Yea
Yeah fall 2006 at Charlotte for Martin was true WTF crash.
Jr's crash in 2002 was horrific. It's a miracle it didn't kill him. I believe it was the beginning of his concussions though, but amazing it wasn't worse
Do Jimmie Johnson
Do one for mark martin
Should’ve done the crash at Sonoma as the worst one in 2004 that wreck was pretty brutal
Kevin Harvick? Maybe next
1997
I think his Michigan wreck was worse in 2016 imo. Talladega was a hard hit, but that Michigan crash was brutal.
I would argue the hit he took from Mears at Dover was his worst of '16, even though Michigan might've been what finally did him in in terms of having to sit out the season.
Do Matt Kenseth
Can you do Ryan Newman next
I'm going to start waiting to do active drivers until the end of the season. He'll definitely be on the top of my list to do when the season is over!
@@nascarfan4888JJ I wouldn't worry about waiting for Newman considering the 500. He had better not have a worse wreck than that.
nascarfan4888JJ oh that makes sense
fair point
Why was dale jr driving his dad’s car?
that was in the busch series
His driving was great man...but he took the beating like a rented mule..
Made it to the hall of fame standing up..
Nascarfan second hahaha
I know every crash that he had by heart no need to see again thank's how many Daytons
Even by '98 he was already flipping/upside down...... 21 Junior wrecks, ugh.
Another hard crash for him in '02 is with Steve Park at Pocono.
And I remember that one like yesterday
Anyone that was in Hendrix car and winless for over 5 years would have been fired but when you get something for nothing except your name there you go
Personally disagree on the 2017 wreck. His Daytona 500 wreck that year I would argue was worse than the the one he suffered in the Coke Zero 400 that year.
Totally agree.
Mark Martin
Do a dale Sr one next
Rocket Man find some new jokes
@Rocket Man Disrespectful
1st
Atlanta wasn't very kind to jr in the mid 2000s
Nascar is the best racing, in the UK we have F1 (garbage) and BTCC (pretty good) but neither have the action that NASCAR produces.
This last crash looked a lot like his dad's
Like father, like son (:>(
JUST PROVED HOW JR'S. NAME WAS BIGGER THAN HIS DRIVING RECORD.
Dude when your last name is Earnhardt that's a big fucking duh. He had a good career anyway.
I think his kansas wreck in 2001 was the worst one that year, classic RF failure into a non-safer barrier, dude just sat there in his car for a couple minutes before putting the net down.
@jrfan07 what’s up
in a way I"m glad all these happened before he got married
Just imagine having a job you had to be in a 100 mile an hour or more crash. Every year 🤤
Wrost carl edwards each year
where is the first one?
Gateway
@@nascarfan4888JJ , thanks
@@nascarfan4888JJ That was a brutal race. It was the first race on the Gateway track, excessive heat, and LOTS of wrecks because the tires couldn't cope.
Damn, that didn't look like Gateway at all.
@@randomreviewsrebooted5156 I thought it was Pikes Peak, and if you are wondering who won that event, it was Elliott Sadler.
dale jr is not worst
He was talking about the accidents not Dale Jr. himself
Harvick cost Jr his career... Pretty stupid way also
#wemissujunior
I miss jr but I miss his father too
worst crash
Carl edwards really screwed over dale Jr alot.
Jr even said it wasn’t Carl’s fault at Atlanta in 2004
You goonyer fanboys are delusional
And at Talladega he had a flat so again not his faulty
Never will forgive Carl Edwards for that wreck in 2004
If his name was Dale Swartokski he wouldnt have had as many wins.
