You vowed your love
From here to eternity
A love so true,
It never would die
You gave your lips
Gave them so willingly
How could I know
Your kiss meant goodbye?
Now I'm alone
With only a memory
My empty arms
Will never know why...
Though you are gone
This love that you left with me
Will live from here to eternity.
Now I'm alone
With only a memory
My empty arms
Will never know why...
Though you are gone
This love that you left with me
will live...
From here to eternity.
I never heard this sung my Englebert. Fantastic. Loved the movie clips too. Ah, when movies were movies! Fantastic in every way.
I'm captivated by Engelbert's intoxicating version. I wish for everyone to experience what True Love feels like. I was fortunate to have the Love of my life in mine for over 40 years.
They don't make movies like this anymore!!! Talent instead of blood, guts, gore, and profanity....
See "Call Me by Your Name"
Wonderful song
This song is beautifully sung. One of Engelbert’s very best!
Fantastic performance by the great singer. Utterly compelling . Great arrangement.
Beautiful Song, Amazing Singer and a fantastic video......
Thank YOu for posting,
Marilyn
Engelbert Humperdinck ES LA MEJOR VOZ QUE SE HA PODIDO ESCUCHAR, JUNTO CON TOM JONES Y LOGICAMENTE HABLANDO DE VOCES "LA VOZ" FRANK SINATRA.
Very beautiful song dear Engelbert. Thank you for all your wonderful songs.
From here to eternity(내가 너무나 좋아하는 영화임이다.😒
@ReadMeReadYou
Never heard of EH 's version either until I was told by UA-cam that I cannot use Sinatra's. There are a few muted videos ón UA-cam which use Sinatra's. EH's surprisingly is the only version I can find in the archives. Anyway, I was glad to make your friend happy.
What a voice! Classic
Hauntingly beautiful version by ENGE of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY !! Nathalie. ..LOVE IS ALL
@faysie1030
You're welcome. This selection first appeared in his album "A Man Without Love" released in 1968. Thank you for watching.
love me some Donna Reed :)
make it mine....make it mine....
@ReadMeReadYou
Donna Reed was a terrific actress. I watched the Donna Reed Show before I came to this country. Somehow, the beach scene reminds me of Carol Burnett and her parody of the scene in one of her weekly TV shows.
Thank you, dear friend.....I have no words....too much beauty...
"Though you are gone
This love that you left with me
will live...
From here to eternity..."
@romympanlilio - on behalf of all us Humpy fans, thank goodness UA-cam wouldn't let you use Sinatra's!
!!! ❤️
Thank you for the beautiful compliment !!
me equivoqué con la canción de Sinatra...(make it mine)... esa frase final corresponde a otra inmortal melodía del cine y es "Three counts in the fountain" mas o menos de la época de "From here to eternity" (1953 o 54) (?).y la cantó ma gis tral!!!
@romympanlilio Donna Reed was terrific. Beautiful too. Carol Burnett's parodies were always hilarious. My favorite will always be "Gone With The Wind," when she wore the drapes with the curtain rod. LOL!
Walang pagkupas !
@totallyamazing36 Another great song from a great singer.. Im glad you liked it.
@mobrules29 I'm a Humpy fan myself. You're welcome..
@Blanka5881 A beautiful compliment indeed!! Thank yoy very much, my friend,
I hope the rain there in Prague has stopped.
@ReadMeReadYou That's one of my favorites too! With the curtain rods intact. LOL!!
I always loved the shore and wanted my ex to kiss me on the beach line that but he hat d the beach and now we’re divorced. Lol 😂
so why can't watch From here to Eternity
Blimey. 1960's easy listening. I'll take a break from my habitual symphonic Miklós Rózsa and John Williams.
