Great video, Charlie! I'm super new to guitar and have never had to tune my strings any other way than standard tuning. How do I tune my strings down? Cheers!
Hi August, you change the tuning by using the tuning pegs on the end of the guitar to adjust each string. You'll need a tuner to tune it to the pitches that I detail in the video. I hope that helps?!
@@Learnguitarwithcharlie Thank you, Charlie. I was having trouble wrapping my head around the "pitch". I was initially trying to match "tone". All squared away now. Like I said, I'm new to all this. Thank you for your help!!!
@@MrCoryella No worries August - not an easy one to explain over UA-cam, glad you're sorted now ! Thanks for watching.

Hello John, are you referring to the Mumford & Sons version perhaps? I don't know that part in the Foy Vance tune?
@@Learnguitarwithcharlie I like your version man, you're awesome!
@@johnrenouf5498 You're very kind John, glad it's helpful mate!
I can't figure out the tuning can sb help me?
Hi Luis, sure I explain the tuning at 0.36 - does that help?
is this the way Ed Sheeran tune his guitar to play this song ?
Hey Griffin, no I think he just plays it with standard open chords in standard tuning as shown here:
ua-cam.com/video/hTgUEfpx5k4/v-deo.html
When he does it with Foy Vance, he plays it with capo at 6th fret (I think) ua-cam.com/video/lUnllIqr5_s/v-deo.html
Cheers!
Is it the same chords with open standard tuning ? Thanks
@@patrickconnolly6200 Hi Patrick, no that won't work I'm afraid. The chord shapes only work in the alternate tuning mentioned.
