Major advantage to disc version is being able to rent games from my massive library county system. I play all of the new games for free, for as long as I want.
My main reason for going with the disk version is because one day the PlayStation network may remove a game, it could no longer become available. the same thing Nintendo did with the DS and the Wii U they closed the store down but still allowed people to download their games, but they could not purchase anything from the store anymore, Told consumers that they were doing maintenance but really they are discontinuing the service for those systems so I’m going to stick to the disc version by a disc folder and keep my disc games clean. only irresponsible people let their disc get scratched up and become completely unusable and they are lazy as hell to not want to get up and change their games so I like being able to play both digital and physical because trust me Having the best of both world is everything!

I always love physical games because i do love see covers game and games in my hand ✋️ archive games and And the important thing is that when physical games become old, their prices drop after a year of release, but the digital version is always the same price. I think digital games should be cheaper because of the cost of the disc and its writing.. frame and cover. The seller's profits are all deducted from the game
My biggest problem is my ps4 I am constantly deleting things to make space for new games. So storage concerns me, but extra $200 for extra storage seems like allot and is it necessary.
Or wait for the Pro. What's another year?! Especially since 'current gen' isn't really getting off the ground just yet. Opinions may differ ofcourse, but I haven't seen nothing yet that I NEED to jump on to current gen. But then again, my priorities have changed over the decades. I had the same with the PS4. When I was finally able to buy one, word of a Playstation 'Neo' began to arise, together with Project Morpheus (aka PSVR). It was then still a year away, but it was a wait worthwhile. As I'm into VR, the Pro was a good choice, as I didn't come accross troubles with VR that PS4 OG/Slim users had. And even if you don't go for the Pro, when that arrives, the prices of the PS5 OG/Slim will go down.
How Many Watts Does A PS5 Use? The official power rating of a PlayStation 5 Disc Edition console is 350 watts, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition has a power rating of 340 watts. Normally the console will draw a lot less than this - expect to use around 200 watts while gaming.
If you can afford a digital one, then i assume you can wait just a little more and get the physical one. Unless you maybe aren't planning to get many games for it, i'd always rather have options. At least with the Series S you have gamepass and other benefits but you really aren't saving money with the digital PS5 most of the time. Amazon , Ebay and Best Buy only sell games in dicc form .

And Walmart !
Im new here.
If i buy the disc version, can i still download digital games or does it only support disc games?
If you buy a disc version, you’ll still be able to buy digital games
My library is 90%digital, and 10% physical for good prices. Like I found Dtar Wars Jedi Survivor physically for under $30. However, I bought Tom Clancy Wildlands Ultimate Bundle, HZD Complete Edition all on sale under $25 digitally. I got the disc version that way I can get which ever is cheaper. I've bought multiple bundled/ complete/ultimate games under $25 which also don't require ps plus.
@@dujanecarey900 when people say you can get digital games as well do they mean any digital game like spider man asw or can you only digitally get games like fortnite which you cant get disc version, is buying and downloading games digitally on disc version the same as buying and downloading games on digital ps5
What racing game was you playing in the beginning of video was it gran turismo?
I have the disc version. I still download a lot of my games but still don't regret getting that version.
I bought a used disc game of "Jedi Fallen Order" for $15 Canadian .
The Digital version is $58.

@@Crashed131963 i hope you enjoy it I've been playing it myself.
That’s what i did like what if I wanna watch movies ? Not all about just games because you can still buy digital lol
@@muthaphukinpimp I just bought a used disc of "Spiderman Miles Morales" from a bargain bin for $20 Canadian.
That game in digital version cost $89 .
If you get the disc version can you still purchase games digitally?
Obviously
So in disc ps5 we could later buy games if cd drive does not work?
I have several consoles that are disc based iam going digital this gen best move I made
PS5 Digital + PS Extra sub + Gigabit internet = Perfection. 👍
no disc is better more the merrier sayin as a digital user
I have never had a console so I’m coming from a different point of view. What would you guys recommend the disc or digital?
It’s all opinion honestly, If you are a PC gamer then you most likely use digital games so the digital edition makes more sense. You also don’t have to worry about losing or breaking discs. But you can find super good used game disc deals
Digital all day!!!!!
Digital because it’s same as ps5 but without disc for cheaper and you had pc so all you played were digital games

So with the disc based..it supports both disk and digital/non disk- gaming?
for me the only benefit of digital is when games are on sale 80-90% off or when a physical copy is too hard to find or not available, what happens when the servers shut down? no more re-downloads or patches
disc version can play my PS4 discs.
Pro tip: "Buy the most popular games on ps5 disc and don't open for 20 years" sell for $1,000s.
I have the diac version and I just love it
My question is which one can you create custom mocs with, or search the net todownload mod skins!
Everything you can do on the digital you can do on the disc version...
Not really , digital u don’t own the movies , music , or games digitally they can be taken away after u paid to not own
I have the ps5 disc version because it is always fun to kick up a good ps4 game that I have on disc. Also, I own GTA 5 ps4 version on disc so it worked out for me. Its really down to preferences of the bulkiness of the console.
I bought a used disc game of "Jedi Fallen Order" for $15 Canadian .

The Question of Disc VS Digital has been asked and answered .
Many ps4 disc games get the free ps5 upgrade now .
@Crashed131963 exactly! I knew I was going to buy the disc version from when I first saw it. Tbh, the design of the console really isn't that much bigger than the digital. Also, it's nostalgic to pick up the game case. Pop that shit open and put the disc into the drive.
So the ps5 disc version plays ps4 games? Thats cool
@@GoCards1983 Better yet many ps4 disc Games get the free PS store Ps5 upgrade.
I bought the used Ps4 disc of Jedi Fallen Order and got the free Ps5 upgrade that plays at 1440p/60 fps rather than the normal 1080p/30 fps.
I bought a Ps5 to play my Ps4 disc collects. Ps4 Games are better with 5X faster loading times .
Exactly the channel I was looking for.
tbh the ps5 controller resembles the ps2 controller, i mean the ps2 has these push functions on the buttons and the ps5 has adaptive triggers and haptic vibrations and when the mute button on the ps5 is on it looks like the ps2 analog lights, you know the red light that lights up when playing on ps2
I still prefer and have the disc version of the console. From experience digital games crash often.
i have a question if i have an external hard drive from the ps4 can you play the ps4 games in the ps5
Just bought my first PS5 disc ever! so excited to receive it. Any tips for beginners at Playstation?😂
Avoid physical games, because Sony and Microsoft are updating system software with a virus malware bug stopping some physical games from working intentionally forcing users to buy digital games, physical is a scam
If I buy the disc version can I still buy digital games?
Yes
We caught john wick on his day off
I bought the digital edition for 1 simple fact alone, I have ADHD I play games for 5 to 10 minutes at time so switching to digital helps me just jump into a random game without the wait of getting up every time to swap out the game. But that's just me and my disorder
It is honestly an underrated feature. It changes the user experience especially for adult with RESPONSIBILITIES

Black Friday, I seen more disc that was on sale. Plus like mentioned, you can play Blu-ray Disc movies.
Kind of wish they had the different color options for the digital version also vs only having them on the disc version on the playstation website
I have an original ps4 uncharted limited edition and still work I stopped playing like year ago since I also have the ps5 but ps4 is a great console also that enjoyed a lot i if just i see now in digital games more convenient way to buy and play games .
remember guys if you go digital, sony gonna take it back without you agreeing.
The digital version is the best option, especially if you have high speed internet.
Disc version will always be superior…best of both worlds
I agree and that's what I got.
U can play PS4 disc games in PS5 disc console ?
Yep. Works just fine 👍
Had the same question thanks for answering
Better yet many Ps4 disc games get the free Ps5 upgrade . like Witcher 3, Jedi Fallen Order and so on.
It switches Ps4 games from 1080p /30fps over to 1440p/60fps for free.
Even with no upgrade the Ps5 faster load times make all ps4 games much more enjoyable .
I would choose the digital bc it is faster and easy and I buy all my games in ps5 so I don’t buy disc anymore
What's the difference? (AND I WANT The Slim model)
How much memory do you need to store all those digital games? Whoever says digital is cheaper never has visit a gaming shop with used titles.
There is no need for a disc drive on any device. The discs don’t even have the entire game. You have to download it anyway
That’s why sony will take all your money genius.
That's actually a really good point lol
Not to mention the disk drive puts a lot of work overtime on the unit from spinning constantly. Digital is better because it runs off internal storage. Way faster
Digital version you are married to ps plus
I always love physical games because i do love see covers game and games in my hand ✋️ archive games and And the important thing is that when physical games become old, their prices drop after a year of release, but the digital version is always the same price. I think digital games should be cheaper because of the cost of the disc and its writing.. frame and cover. The seller's profits are all deducted from the game
My biggest problem is my ps4 I am constantly deleting things to make space for new games. So storage concerns me, but extra $200 for extra storage seems like allot and is it necessary.
Better wait for the slim version which will be available this fall.
source?
Sauce?
@error is right
Or wait for the Pro.
Slim gonna look like a wifi router
any performance different between digital and disk?
The PS5 SLIM is SLOWER. The original is better. 😂
underrated channel
Wait so if you get blue ray you can’t get digital games?
The majority of the gaming community is Digital anyways. If you are still using a disk in 2023 i have no clue what you are even doing.
You don't need a fucking clue about people you don't even know
How Many Watts Does A PS5 Use?
The official power rating of a PlayStation 5 Disc Edition console is 350 watts, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition has a power rating of 340 watts. Normally the console will draw a lot less than this - expect to use around 200 watts while gaming.
????????
Which version is best????
Disc
@@The.world.has.gone.crazy... Thanks!!
I bought the disc version
Basically if your a virgin get the disc version if not get the digital?
If you can afford a digital one, then i assume you can wait just a little more and get the physical one. Unless you maybe aren't planning to get many games for it, i'd always rather have options. At least with the Series S you have gamepass and other benefits but you really aren't saving money with the digital PS5 most of the time. To me, it just seems very dumb not to spend that extra 100 and at least give yourself the option, but the Slim is looking promising so far.
Cant u still download digital games on the disk version as well?
Yes
I buy both but will always buy physical given the option.
Why would you buy both.. Just get the physical one
@@nextgencupidno, they’re saying they buy mainly physical games and only get digital games if it’s cheaper and or if it’s the only option.

I ended up going for the digital one since i can spare 80 euro and spend that money a game i think digital is dev the better option if your an avg gamer like me😊
I'm currently saving up for a PS5 and my local Walmart has the disc edition for $499 which is what I want. I have a dresser drawer that I keep games in and I like having a collection in there.
not all games are digital some were removed from PSN. Good luck playing the amazing Spider-Man 2 or back to the future telltale on the digital ps5.

You can buy cheap used games with disc
You can play games offline on digital version
The discs in my opinion are better because you can do both but in digital you have to use digital
The games don’t even come on the disc any more they just act like a key that opens the lock on the internet.
True
But the disc is your proof of purchase .

The Question of Disc VS Digital has been asked and answered .
Yes the game is not on the used disc it still needs to be download but at a better price than PS Store has .
RDR2 sells used in disc for $20 Canadian and PS store still wants $79 for that old game .
Bro that is entirely untrue, i still don't get why people think this💀. Games used to play directly from the disc but nowdays, the game gets copied to a storage device and plays off that instead. You just gotta put the disc in for anti piracy measures and guess what, no such thing as internet required! Its just a design choice these modern consoles went with which has its pros and cons.
i like both editions so i just bought the digital for my self and the disc version for my friend personal i think the digital is better cuz it's good looking
Yo buy me one 😭😭
Great video but is it just me that is kinda irked by the scratches on the ps5 used?
What if i used disc games on my ps4? Can i still play them on a digital ps5???
not unless you have them digitally downloaded
Im getting ps5 for christmas so i would go for digital because the disc will soon wear out and won't work after a single touch
you cannot have a game night with your wife if you have a disc and playing on 2 different consoles at the same time, 1 digital game, shared license. 2 games for the price of one

All the PlayStation games are compatible ps4 and ps2 and 3 games can be played on it it’s wild
If the jb comes to ps5, you can both get digital and physical gaming experience, but the digital only get 1😅
At this pointing in gaming, the only reason to get discs is secondhand buying/selling and sharing. So many games release as unplayable pieces of garbage requiring patches. Once Sony’s servers shut down, all those ‘collectible’ games will be mostly worthless.
