Not long after that show aired, I was sitting on the floor in front of the stage of an intimate southeast Portland club watching them play it live once again.
great interview. Great example of Shaver. He was country boy as you could be, but those songs are like a Michelangelo. I just saw a doc about Cohen and he said it took 5 years to write it.
