I’m glad you caught some as well, I hate seeing other fisherman struggling to catch fish. For some reason these fish were just so picky, they only wanted to eat topwater it was wierd

I love the bluffs in Minnesota! If turkey hunting is going rough I always bring a rod and reel to hit the river and creeks!

@@mckaykriser4676ya it’s not a voiceover it’s high quality mic, but it also picked up my voice a little to much since it’s so close. So the S sounds very sharp. I’m trying to work on it

I love that creek 😂 tons of memories of being a kid with my dad heading down there. Fished it for the first time on my own a few weeks back and didn’t do too horrible. Gotta get there at the right time of day though otherwise you’re struggling to get a spot.
This creek can get packed haha, there is so many people who fish it. It’s a great spot, just gotta hit it at the right time of year. Tight lines
Love light gear fishing in small creeks. Seeing you back on the creeks is great. Some really nice fish there and a lovely area. People walk past the scum surface, often, and miss the great fishing it conceals. 😆
I watched a lot of fisherman just walk past it and miss out. Lots of great fishing in spots that look like that. Creek fishing is and will always be my favorite way to fish. I love small stream and small creek trout fishing. It is the best way to fish. Pulling big trout out of small creeks is awesome. I’d say I get out once a week or once every other week and hit the creeks. I just don’t usually film it. Trout fishing is so relaxing and is like my happy place so I don’t want to ruin it with cameras
@@NASPELTZ I have been getting back to the creeks where I grew up for some big rainbows lately. It is so good and refreshing to get out to the creeks I called home as a child. And being able to just wander the banks and catching big trout is how I love to fish most, it was where I learned.

@@NASPELTZ Mate, I have been catching a fair few. All big, healthy fish. Average about 15 inches, biggest in the past couple of weeks was 22 inches. I am up to about 20 some good sized fish. Most people around here are happy with 10 inches, the "legal"size. Usually relaxing, often challenging, sometimes downright frustrating! I believe that's called "fishing" 😆

What soft plastics do you like for smallmouth? I’ve heard grubs, tubes, and senkos work well, but I was wondering if 4 inch vs 5 inch senkos made a difference and if there were others you liked.

Absolutely, I went over this in the video. I wish I had a heavier setup but all I had was my micro setup, I was planning to film some musky content that day but ended up fishin a creek so all I had with a heavy musky rod and a ultra light trout setup in case I found a trout creek
Just got myself a bowfin on ultra light gear the other day, was using the whopper plopper 75 on some 5lb test braid, no leader, was fearing for my poor whopper plopper, thought he broke it
