I've been to many of their concerts within the past 10 years and they are still hitting it hard. Gotta admit this lineup was one of the best, glad Robin Finck remains. He's such a great visual performer and instrumentalist.
I was subconsciously singing + humming Wish the other day in my classroom (I'm a teacher) while I was checking books and I quickly had to switch "Fistfuck" to "Fish truck" in a split second. Phew. Just letting it out. 3:)
Either he cut himself or something cut him lol... but its no surprise because trent in the past is something else... hopefully he doesnt feel the same as those eras nowadays
Unfortunately it's an unreleased filming of the Self-destrut tour in 1994 directed by Simon Maxwell. Hopefully for the Downward Spiral's 20th anniversary Trent will release the whole thing along with a live album.
I have been lucky enough to see this group well over 100 times live and it just keeps getting better and better, but the best live concert ever was woodstock when they fucked up the stage and were covered in mud. Best song ever.
The video is epic , the industrial feel re colours tan , blacks , grey, smoke fades, and lighting fades, with the NIN unit and Reznor is amazing ❤ Intense track that just rips into your soul and fucks and drains you🖤
The period was the 1980's during the height of the heavy metal craze. Trent Reznor was the Nine Inch Nails and was probably the most passionate player out there at the time. His music was an expression of inner emotion on the borders of metal and punk rock.

@MachintoshCJ I am not sure if that is supposed to be an insult... Honestly I could see more industrial rock then dark hardcore punk... but either way doesn't really bother me..
@blacklightburns100 Two things, one just because its on Wikipedia deff does not make it true. Second I am agreeing with you I just typed the wrong word thats all. My mistake, I would have prolly said the same thing if I would have seen someone put what I did.
This was an excellent live performance of this song (except for that Godawful backup, and ridiculous, screeching/"singing" during the chorus...that guy sucks a*s, and completely ruined the d**n song, and the performance, too!), and has always been my favorite NIN song, ever since seeing the video for this song, way back in 1992, on MTV's Headbanger's Ball, late one Saturday night. The next day, I went and picked up Broken, and saw they actually had another album, Pretty Hate Machine, as well. I picked up Broken first, to "test the waters", so to speak, and loved it, so I went back a few days later and picked up Pretty Hate Machine, and loved it even more! Been a fan ever since then. NIN led me into that Genre of music, and to other bands that I continue to listen to, even still now, in 2024. I was just 13 years old when I saw this video that night, way back in 1992. Completely insane that was 32 years ago now! Time f**king flies...
Maybe I'm biased because I love Chester's vocals but Linkin Park did a good job covering this song. You can sense their admiration and respect for NIN when they covered NIN's song. NIN are good musically though not a fan of the lead singer's vocals.
Without a doubt, Most memorable part: "FISTFUCK"
Very true!!!
The live version is way better than the studio version.
Trent Reznor is the most intense and dedicated musician out there.
Hardly.

Holy shit dude, same story. The l,p cover got me into nin!
In honor of u guys and all linkin park fans : 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

Sean McManus - Me too lol. I’ve watched their MV on MTV channel.

Saw them a few weeks ago and he still jammed out pretty hard
was fuckin beyond words
@@texastaurus9271 Yeah. I don't think their new concerts are any less than what they were doing 25-30 years ago
@@99certain45 YT must be giving me bad examples. Each time I've tried a newer one out I have to turn it off after a song or two.....

That would've been insane to see NIN live back in their heyday.
Grew up with Nine Inch Nails one of my dad's favorite bands and one of the first bands I was really into
There are few bands that play this hard. Well done.
Best live light show hands down.

@@RudyHarlanPhantomBoom Indeed!!! 😜🤣🤣
2:53 that is quite a lot of blood on Trent's leg. Looks like a shallow cut. You can just notice it in between the flashes of the lights.

Nine Inch Nails best live performance
I bet that was such a fun song for them to play

Amen to that. It made '94 a damned good year.
God damn that was intense. I fucking love NIN.
10/10 performance, a showcase of excellence

Words cannot express the epicness
Just saw them in Phoenix last week ... both nights. This song is still bad ass live.
Yeah once you see NIN live, everything else seems like a ripoff
They are better live than recorded, not many bands can say that. So powerful 🖤
i like the live version of this song a bit better
