Really love this content. I’m in the process of restoring and 85 z28 and been using all your videos as walk throughs. A lot of help. If u are holding any more contents on this car please download. Thanks again for the clear info and no bullshit
@@TheBoatman11 ya I know what you mean. The weather has been miserable lately. And ya lol wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I figured after so long I would have forgot more then I did haha
Those type of bearing packers are bad if others don't thoroughly clean their bearings before using it. I prefer to use the double cone type that uses a grease gun. Thoroughly clean after each use and no contamination. A nameless large tire chain I used to work for had one like yours. I complained that the grease was gritty. They told me "it helps them to break in". Keep yours clean and they do work great. Grease is always a nasty job but extremely important.
Yes indeed. I can't stand seeing these things all nasty. I either only use it on new bearings or if an old bearing is being repacked I always clear out what's above the separation plate. Great advice. 👍
@@TonyTheTechnician Used properly like that, they are the best. It takes no genious to tell that grit in grease is bad, or that it is there. I rarely let anyone else pack my own vehicle's bearings unless I know the situation.
I show it just fine. You can still tell what your supposed to do. If you can't tell how to set the bearing in and hammer the seal into place then you shouldn't be doing this job anyways.
Thank you for the video! Restoring my 89 Firebird and your video helped me immensely.
Thank you I'm glad yo hear it
Thanks for the helpful video! You including the parts numbers helped me tremendously!
Glad to hear it. Thank you

I need a better bearing packer because the cone shaped one I have makes more of a mess than just doing it by hand. Great video thanks TtT
Haha ya the other style can be messy for sure. I have seen that one before. Thank you!

@@upsidedowndog1256 ya that's completely understandable and ya I know what you mean
Great video Thanks
Thanks 👍
Is it the same for the front as it is the back or would it require different bearings and seals?
Is that the Orion race/seal kit?
No and yes. Lol it's another brand but many brands use this exact same set 👍
Showing what you’re doing would be helpful, it’s completely out of view
