Very cool and functional exhaust and that gas tank strap setup is as good as any factory setup. I did lots of repair/replacements with similar straps back in the day. My mechanican years were in Massachusetts where rust was a constant issue. Great progress!
Thanks George, this truck originally was from Michigan. Which explain lots of its rust. Then moved to Florida and finally end up in Texas. Once I get everything installed I will disassemble it for a final time for a good rust removal .
While you were under the truck I was admiring your work and how solid the metal is. You picked a good one to save. Exhaust work is something I won't even try so good for you! It's coming along nicely. I especially like the idea and the workmanship of moving the gas tank.
Hello. Restoration of a Studebaker Champ. Fuel tank and disposal system. You changed the position of the fuel filler and tank. That's very good! Repurposed the exhaust system of a Chevy truck. The pipe processing is a success. The dual exhaust is very cool. Thanks for showing your great work. Thanks my friend.
Thank you very much my friend, the truck still needs lots of work. But every time I can mark something off the list I get one step closer. Have a great week
Perfect flame throwers! You're coming up with a lot of custom solutions. Like the relocation of the tank. i think the straps will be fine. Cool truck. 👍
Hey Lloyd, looks like some excellent progress on the Champ. Probably the worst thing about working on an old vehicle is crawling around underneath. I know I can't do it anymore, but happy you are able. Looking forward to hearing it run. :)
It looks like a great idea to move the fuel tank. Great work on the exhaust, it is going to look good with the dual pipes. It is good to see the progress on the truck, thanks
Exaust Looks Rocking!!! Worked Wonderfully!!! Like It Was Made For It!!! On The Tank You Should Weld The Ends Of The Strap Tightening Bolts!!! Make Them Solid Loops!!! The Way They Are Now They Can Spread Open And The Strap Come Off!!! Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!
Nice work with your exhaust Lloyd. I don't like working with exhaust but, putting on new pipe makes things way easier and no rust in your eyes. She's looking good, like the new tank and setup.
Wow Rusty, absolutely mind expanding! Great idea with the fuel tank, love the idea of moving it toward the back of the truck plus using the "torque" tightening bolt hangars on that gas tank, I remember as a Kid being in one of those old trucks on a hot Summer day and being half-gassed with gas fumes, Yeech! The exhaust "work" you did will make that engine breath better I bet. Some major impressive "Up-Engineering" going on for the Champ! PS: Good luck with the carburetion issue, that ought to be an interesting journey... "Liked and shared!"
Lloyd, the exhaust work looks great. I saw a few cuts on your arm.. that's the sign of a working man ! Lol. I would like to suggest one thing- on your tank tighting fitting it might be a good idea to squeeze that loop together and put a bead of weld to hold the loop together. Over time that will stretch open..
Hi Lloyd, good progress on the truck. I've a feeling that the fuel tank may be a slow filler with that filler pipe. Maybe fit a large vent pipe up to the filler neck?
Yes, new tubing is always better to start with. But it would surprise you how much stuff drops on you when you are banging on an old truck. Thanks Vernon
Coming along nicely . Like the duel exhaust.
Getting there slowly but surely. The longer I take the more things I decide change. Cheers

I’m thankful I can still crawl around under and over the truck. With time I will be able to get the truck on the road again . Thanks Doug
Hi Lloyd! The truck is coming along nicely. I like your work! It's good you moved the filler hose; you don't want gas fumes in your cab! Take care.
Thanks Todd, slow and steady wins the race they saw. Have a great week
It looks like a great idea to move the fuel tank. Great work on the exhaust, it is going to look good with the dual pipes. It is good to see the progress on the truck, thanks

Nice work with your exhaust Lloyd. I don't like working with exhaust but, putting on new pipe makes things way easier and no rust in your eyes. She's looking good, like the new tank and setup.
Thanks Ken, this all went pretty smoothly. Still lots to do but get closer with everything I mark off the list

Thanks very much, the Champ is getting closer everyday I get out there and accomplish something. Have a great weekend
Cool! Nice work, as always! 👍🏻
Thanks Chris, it has been hot all summer . It was a cool day and only got 98 so I didn’t waste any time trying to get something done
Very nice good job brother Lloyd God bless
Thanks Marton , the truck will take awhile but enjoying it. Have a Blessed week
Im enjoying your labor. Thanks
I like making some progress and seeing a job completed. Thanks and take care
Nice work Lloyd. Not exactly straight forward but coming along nicely.
Thanks Noel, there is plenty to go around on this project. Have a great week
that looks fantastic, take care
It worked out nice and should be just what I was wanting for the truck. Thanks Dan
Looking good, lots of progress. Too bad you didn't know someone with a bender that could have bent the pipe for you.
My cousin has a tubing bender but he live to far away for a little job like this. It went pretty well anyway. Thanks Dan and take care
It's coming along nice.
Thanks Nathan , appreciate it

Thanks for the tip, I will be sure to get that done Rick. Appreciate you and have a great week
Cool video Lloyd, your saying "I am out off here" is very relevant, get out under the truck😂😅 very nice job on the exhaust and tank
Thanks Jan, making some progress once again.
Hi Lloyd, good progress on the truck. I've a feeling that the fuel tank may be a slow filler with that filler pipe. Maybe fit a large vent pipe up to the filler neck?
It might be a little slow Doug, it will have a tank vent so fingers crossed that will help. Thanks and have a great week
Very nice work Rusty . Where did you buy that fuel tank ?
I got the tank from Amazon. Price wasn’t bad at all. Thanks George
I hate exhaust work but you have new pipe so it's not nearly as bad as old pipe with the rust and dirt falling one's eyes..
Yes, new tubing is always better to start with. But it would surprise you how much stuff drops on you when you are banging on an old truck. Thanks Vernon
Listen to the rattle...lol...Cheers Lloyd.
Thank you very much and some day we will hear it with the new exhaust
