Hello. Restoration of a Studebaker Champ. Wow! Changed drum brakes to disc brakes. That's a very nice modification (^_^)v Changing the wheels accordingly is important for safety. Thanks for showing your work. Thanks my friend.
That's a pretty slick conversion kit for that studebaker. Not converting my u s army 1952 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 M37 cargo carrier drum brakes. It was enough of a chore getting these 72 yr old brakes back in operation. Glad you saved that Studebaker truck dont see any of those around here
How's she goin'? You have done a nice job on this change over Rusty!! Some 'shop engineering' was needed I can see. Making the flange for the master cylinder would have been a challenge I bet. The job looks great. Take care!!
There's no stopping you Lloyd! That sure is a nice bit of better technology! I never liked drum brakes. That should improve your drivability tremendously. Thanks for the video. She's coming along nicely.
Hey Lloyd, looks like a good kit for sure. Odd how they come up with just the right components to work on any given application, but as long as it does work, should all be good. Nice job. :)
Absolutely Ken, I have installed kits before that required grinder , cutting and welding. But not this kit. It was easy to install and fit very good. Have a great week
Super upload Rusty on this "How To", it seems like the Internet is in great need for instruction on issues similar to this. Question comes to my mind is: I wonder what the percent improvement will be on the braking of that truck now? Great stuff, thanks again for sharing your knowledge. "Liked and shared"
Lloyd I can see you smiling permanently when you drive the Studebaker Champ on the road, one of my must iconic body shapes on old pick-up's
Thanks Jan, I have a long way to go but like you say the Champ will stop better than new. Have a great week
Fits like a glove. We can remember driving vehicles with front drum brakes so going to disks is logical 😅
Thanks Steve, the disc brakes with the power brakes will make all the difference stopping the Studebaker
i am sure it keeps you busy, that is so cool to convert it to disc brakes, amazing
The kit installed very easy and will add to the stopping power. Thanks Dan

Thank you Marlon, the brakes installed very easy using readily available parts. Have a Blessed week
Good job Lloyd! Jim Turner makes some nice stuff for sure!
Thanks, I knew you would agree. I was really impressed how easy it went together without cutting, grinding or welding. Have a great week ahead
That's going to make such an improvement when driving the truck. Nice.
I think so too, the kit installed very nice and will be a big improvement over the drum brakes. Thanks
The hubs and spindles cleaned up very well. It looks like a great kit and a good upgrade

Hi Lloyd, I bet that it will stop on a dime now!
Thanks Doug, those 12 inch discs should fill the order to bring the Champ to a stop. Take care
What’s the engine you plan on installing in the studebaker just was wondering
I am keeping the Studebaker V8 in it but will be installing an automatic transmission in place of the 4 speed truck transmission. Thanks
