Sarah, if you spritz the coffee beans with a light spray of water before loading them into the coffee grinder. The ground up coffee won't stick to the inside of the grinder. Thanks for another great video.
@@LifestyleOverlandAnd if you don’t anything to spritz it with, then just add water to a spoon handle and just stir the handle in the beans before grinding them.
So grateful to watch your videos .. amazing life !! All that nature is watching Gods creation at its best .!! Enyoy those rainin days , the moon, The stars etc. !!! GOD IS GOOD!! BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR AWESOME FAMILY
Good ear! I just wish these artists would write music as fast as we make new episodes! Family and Friends hasn't put out an album since Alaska in 2018!
HI KEVIN , SARAH , CAROLINE & ABIGAIL 👋 THE KITCHEN SETUP / SYSTEM LOOKS PRETTY EFFICIENT NOW ❤ LOVE THE SETUP / STYLE OF THE NEW ROOFTOP TENT ⛺️ LOOKED VERY STURDY . BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 🍦 GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 😊 🙏
That big old mushroom is called a Boletus edulis We Italians call it a porchino (which means pig). They are highly sought after and very edible and can get quite large. I recognized it immediately because my family used to find them, slice them and dry them on huge drying trays. Nice find!
That's awesome! I've had a mushroom book in my Amazon cart for a while so we could start identifying them. Looks like it's time to pull the trigger and return to this area!
@@LifestyleOverland The season's pretty short so I doubt you'll get any this year but maybe next. And by all means check and verify in your book before considering eating 🤙🏼 Merry Christmas!
Bush Company is the Best!!! The AX27 was our first RTT, ran it for 3 years and not one problem! And Dean is the best! Would still have but we changed our setup to the Skinny Guy camper…
Woke up. Made coffee. Started our day with you wonderful folks. Super happy for your new setup. Nice to hear some of your older music on this one. Ouroboros is a great song. Safe travels to you guys!
Very Happy for your family! I am sure the Voyager is going to be a big upgrade while providing those nice creature comforts while venturing. Seeing Bush products in person that equipment is top notch. It will be another buy once, cry once but get the best. I have the same square fire pit and I cannot wait to see what you come up with so you can cook on it with a grate.
It's been a game changer for sure. The Bush Company stuff has legitimately blown my mind with their quality. It's refreshing to see tents built to a higher standard.
Touching that large mushroom cap is perfectly okay! No need to wash hands asap or worry of getting sick. Looked like a large bolete of some sort. Bolete species are often the most tasteful!
Thanks! We're in love with them both. Definitely a huge investment but for those who have decided that quality is necessary and worth it for their pastime; it's a safe bet on longevity 👍
Happy you went with Bush I did the same back before Covid got heavy and I’m so grateful I bought it and handles some hardcore weather! I had to put heat shrink tubing over those noisy zipper handles though but that’s the only thing I’ve done to it in the last few years of owning it.
Always a treat watching the latest adventure, and may the girls never complain about the tent space as they grow older. Tons of great trails to explore and have fun with the new trailer!
First time watcher. Super impressed with the tone and feel of your video. Family focus and amazing video work and very pleasant music. Thanks a ton. I decided to go with AluCab for my tent and awning because I had a hard time pinning down the bush company tent in Idaho 2021-22 post Covid production. I’ve been very happy with the tent so I’m all in alucab but bush seems super high quality too. I narrowed it down to one of the two companies after having my fill of the cheap china stuff.
Great Video. Jealous that I can't be there right now. I want to get into this and this setup looks amazing and would fit my family perfectly minus some bathroom creature comforts my wife and daughters would be missing. I look forward to your future videos with this trailer.
Hey Kevin, I don’t miss the mouth toy stage with my youngest. She’s now five almost 6. In regards to your new fire pit I’m sure you could probably get a local sheet-metal shop to laser cut you out a stainless grate to put over the top of that when you’re cooking.
@@LifestyleOverland I carry a 2000w Jackery sometimes, with the induction cook top drawing ~1800w. cooking a steak about 5 min each side. not a problem for the jackery.
What's the trailer weigh loaded and what kind of mileage are you getting off road with that vehicle. Putting in some of this information is helpful for others.
I recommend you run far away from it unless you like tinkering and working with Russian programers to try and get it right. 🤣 Watch the previous episode for a little more about the issues that ruined it for us.
I think I have a weird question. From the back latch all the way around to storage is the awning. Am I weird to think why wouldn’t the fridge be under cover? I typically have seen L shape kitchens. I know the fridge can be slide back in and then it can turn into a tailgate as well and you can still get into fridge. I almost want to see the fridge rotate out so that it’s under the latch but then the counter top gets smaller. Maybe if the awning has walls then cooking in the rain is better I don’t know.
Did Xpedition and Bush design the roof hatch option with the ten for you or is that a modification of yours? Presuming that's what I saw to get the heat up into the tent for Caroline.
Unsure from my device's screen, that looks like a bolete mushroom. In peak season, it's delicious. Kevin, I don't know where else to ask... What has been your all around favorite tire for all your travels?
Thanks for chiming in! I love mushrooms and it's time to get a proper ID book so we can start eating a few in the wild. As to tires: 1) Best all-around tire is Falken MTs. Quiet on road, great in snow/ice, and still enough tread for mud. Super tough too. 2) Best aggressive tire: Mickey Thompson Baja Legend MTs. Don't put these on a commuter though. 3) KO2's would be my choice for a primary commuter that does trail work on occasion.
You know what is the most interesting? The many hairdos you have. I mean, Caroline's are the same, Sara's are the same, but yours changes with the seasons. Interesting. Lolol
Lol, by hairdos I'm guessing you mean the various stages of unkempt I go through 🤣 I've been cutting my own hair for about 15 years now (Sarah does my neck). This year I just started trimming the sides and it ran away with me. Now Caroline and Sarah don't want me to cut it 🤣
Hmm, seems like a lot of assumptions here. A better question would be: "How do you balance digital time with time in the wilderness?" The answer would be, We have very strict timeframes and situations when the tablet comes out. When the baby is cranky and all other toys have been played out, we resort to letting them play educational games as a distraction while we finish setting up camp, cooking, or filming. Thanks for asking 👍
Bush Company tents and awnings are now available on overlandprovision.com These are unreal quality, folks.

I run the Bush Company AX27 RTT and the 270XT MAX on my rig and they are by far the best quality RTT and Awning I have ever used. Good Choice LSO!
Thanks! Everyone Bush owner we've ever talked to says the same 🙌

I'm thinking I might weld a tab on each inner lip that would hold the big skillet. Though, a full grate would be best for multiple pots/pans!
I've been following you since your daughter was a baby. From Thailand, Bangkok
Thank you for riding with us so long!
love the cooking episode. I recently tried steak on cast-iron pot with induction cooktop (outside temp too cold for portable grill) turned out great.
I was curious how they would do on an induction. Good to know!

Love the set up! Pulling around that trailer, do you have a trans cooler installed?
What is left over rib eye. Never heard if that!
Right? Guess we filled up on eggs and coffee 🤣

Hey there friends. Do you have to unload the bikes to pop the tent? Just wondering 💚
Nope! We just buzzed around the area a bit so I took them down. They actually make great "railing" for Caroline to hold onto. 👍
