You guys are such great parents! God bless your beautiful family!
Caroline's chicken burger looked REALLY GOOD! I'm hungry now. ... And those slow times messing around camp, exploring, pine cone baseball! Isn't that what it's all about!? Instead of get up and go. Really, cool when you were checking out the tree, to hear Sara and Caroline having a blast in the background... That's what it's all about right there.
You guys are still making great videos! I'm lovin the trailer!
Thanks so much!
To know what matters most is a true blessing.
Great video as always! It wasn't chaotic, you're just showing us your reality and that is cool. No need to gloss over things or pretend things are like they were before you had Abigail. (She's a sweetie pie) Just be your new and still awesome selves :). And yes! Please do a video on your 4Tire air up DIY! Thank you!
I have to say, your music selections are spot on! I don't ever know who they are but I do enjoy them. You need to come to my neighborhood here in Douglas County Oregon, we have the worlds tallest Sugar Pine not far from my home.
Congratulations on the choice! What another great video! Love to see it all.
Thanks so much!
This series has been my favorite since your first trip to Alaska ❤👏👏
I remembered about 5 years ago I was asking how you were able to make this all possible and you responded "Hoping it all comes together before we run out of operating capital from the sale of our truck and camper.".. well it looks like it all came together. So happy to see yall succeed and family grow. Love your adventures! God bless
Good job Caroline!
Love the Tennessee hammock!!!!
Go big orange! 😁👍
Glad you decided on the new off road trailer. It looks like a great fit for your family. It is cool to see how much Caroline has grown up and what a helpful young lady she is.
Anyone with kids understands the chaos, and appreciates hearing another parent acknowledge it 👍
I'm really geeking out on your trailer. My wife and I are looking at something similar for our GX. We'll have to check out Expidition X as well 👍
Amazing video, thank you! 🤠🙏
So happy Abigail is ok ❤
Congrats guys you got a nice addition to our outing gear.
Lovely to see your family 'real'. Such a lovely family. ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Less stuff less worries
Picking mine up next week in Knoxville!!
Whoo hoo! Congrats!
+1 on doing a video on the inflation kit. Either way, you have the best overlanding channel on UA-cam.
Man I always love how you put your videos together, and I would love to see that how to video on the 4 tire air up kit.
Thank you for sharing your story. Have been watching for quite sometime and this video by far has been one I am really enjoying 💕
Thank you for sharing your video with my family. It reminds me of being kid camping with my parents and 3 sisters. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Huge fan of your guys please make the how to video for the air down line!!!!
What's scary is that we all are going to blink and that baby is going to be 2, 6, 8 in no time! Caroline and my daughter are close to the same age, and now they are just about teens. Went by fast.
Nice! I'm sure excited to see what you do with YOURS! I knew it would happen. It's just too perfect for you guys. Congrats!
Thanks so much!!
That thing is nice. What an amazing adventure & and a great way to move forward. Seriously awesome. Keep it coming.
So thanks for making my next vehicle choice easier. Another Sequoia is on my list buy went way up. I loved my last one and with 3 kids, I need the space. Might not be able to go full time but I want to give the kids experiences like this
Great video with wonderful storytelling!
Excellent video! The "bed" for Abbigail is awesome and I loved watching your family have fun around the campsite. I must say though, I was a bit taken back by the Tennessee Vol hammock! GO DAWGS!! Lol!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Go big orange! ( I mean, we've been down long enough right?! Time for some championships!)
Definitely would like to see a how to on your tire inflator set up. I also like the sleep in style trailer….I’ve been looking at that manufacturer and Off Grid trailers out of Canada
Found you for the first time today - my first episode! Really enjoyed the back story, and looking forward to seeing what’s up next! Subscribed!
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! Man, I would LOVE to get a trailer like this with my dream Land Cruiser 250. I can imagine taking the family on some epic camping and off-roading trips.
Not an overlander but do like this channel. Good quality videos and the off road travel is entertaining. The baby is a great addition to the channel. It would be nice if the expedition trailer had a bathroom, air conditioner, de-humidifier and mosquito netting.
Love your travel life👍🥰🥰
FINALLLLYYYYY a new episode!!!
I was glad to see your coverage of moving to an off-road trailer. I'm leaning that direction too. Can you speak to limitations with a trailer - I'm very wary of getting up roads and finding out there isn't enough room to turn around with a trailer. And the worst would be finding out you have to back up for part or all of an offshoot trail/road. How are you managing that concern ?
Awesome Episode.
Thanks!
The altitude of land position is okay to say. I reckon the aircraft pilots are being too precious and there's more in life to worry about than the few that get themselves upset. I love your family travels too. Thanks so much for the entertainment & congrats on the trailer decision.
Hehe, they do like their terms. Thanks for watching!
yaaaay!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 nice! congrats! and enjoy! continued travel mercies and blessings. 🕊
I guess I will need a tour of your new trailer later this month at OEX.
Personally, I think you should have gone with a Boreas XT but you definitely made the right choice in the style of setup for traveling with two kids. We love sleeping inside our trailer and our girls love being up top in the RTT. Congrats on the new trailer!
Stoked for yea all
I would love to see how to install the air up kit!!
My first thought was, “ I can’t possibly have been along since that far back” but I indeed have been lol
Crazy how time flies when you're having fun, right?
@@LifestyleOverland you guys definitely have kept me occupied while I sit around at work doing nothing 😂
Looking forward to this new trailer!! Hoping to get a tear/square drop myself, just not that fancy lol
The thing that’s hard to swallow is the fact that this actually costs more than my brand new rig when I bought it a few years ago,
Yes! Let’s see that 4 tire inflated video plz! Lol
Cara parabéns pra família ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations, its a very cool rig :)
When Sarah was down at the water after the crocodile talk you should have thrown a clip from Crocodile Dundee where the croc grabbed her canteen LOL.
It is a pretty sweet trailer and should I win the MegaMillions jackpot Friday I can say without a doubt I will buy one although being retired and with it just me and a dog when I travel I'm pretty good with what I have.
I've been watching for several years now. My favorite part of the channel is just seeing your family be a family having fun together. Don't apologize for it, lean into it!
Not really apologizing to be honest, just explaining the difference in format. I always love pushing my videography skills but it takes a significant amount of time. With the baby, we just have to take what we can get until she's a bit more self sufficient 🤣👍 I'm so glad everyone still loves the off-the-cuff style! I'll save the artsy stuff for the solo runs for now.
❤❤❤
many thanks to you and your lovely family and I wish to be with you guys and if you can next time try conqueror uev 14
Have you used one before?
If you talk to Jorge (Live Work Wander) beg them to come back to UA-cam for me 😂... Congratulations on the new baby.
You need to try out that trailer behind swellrunners prospector xl
Looks like the cinder hills in Flag..
Hello I just got a 2022 highlander le AWD any recommendations or websites I can buy stuff for my new rig? Please help and thanks love the video
Nice!
Another great vid and you are enjoying the trailer. It will be great to see your unit. Are going to sell down under ? Take Care
Really sad to find out about the fate of turtleback trailers. I've been following that since day 1 together with swell runner. It's like one of the main casts of your story. Love the new trailer though
Yeah, definitely a gut shot for us. Hope they return to glory one day.
Ever considered off-road wheels/tires for the stroller? Oh, excellent choice on the new rig.
This stroller isn't going to hold up to offroad use... going to have to try something else. Thanks, we're super stoked for getting our own trailer!
Que hermosa family, Kevyn!!! Saludos desde México 🇲🇽 👍
We just recently got into a Boreas EOS-12. Total length is 20ft long so a bit bigger than the units you're testing but still very capable. I'd love some suggestions of routes that you guys have done that you think would be fun and trailer friendly. We are in AZ. I was wondering about the NM BDR or Enchanted Rockies Trail like you mentioned here.
As a geologist, elevation is the correct term. Thank you! An easy way to keep them straight is: Airplanes have altitude, land has elevation. I am trying to convince my wife into seriously looking at one of the Xpedition trailers. Thing is, she thinks the sleeping area is too small and doesn't want to have to cook outside. She seems more interested in one of the Sprinter van variants, but to me, the inside space is just as limited and you have to spend time converting the inside from one purpose to another. I would like to be able to have a base camp and strike out in the SUV from there. One question I do have is about the "Necessary". What is your solution for that? Thank you for the continued review.
The "necessary"? As a married man I think you already know this: Happy Wife = Happy Life.
@@dadthejedi Actually, I was referring to the potty. Happy wife? Do you know something I do not? How does one do that??? 🤣
@@jimForgottenHinterland I've got two ex-wives, so no, I obviously do not know. 😂
👍
Real life is so much better than fake shots!
nice rig how much extra fuel to you carry? any clue of mpg ?
47 gallons on board. Averages 9-14 mpg depending on the situation.
Hi! At the 6 minute mark, what kind of SUV is that may I ask?
That's our HJ45 Land Cruiser Here's a video on it: lso.link/beast
Beautiful babies ! Love from Down Under !
What’s the name of your trailer and where did you get it?
It's a Voyager by Xpedition Trailers. This one is just a loaner from the owners, ours is being built now.
Down Below
I don't know but you look like the guy who portrays bender in futurama..hhmmm..
Let those who bitch about cost of quality products go build their own!!!!!
Seriously, who plates their food like that when they're camping!?
✋
Aside from conveying great respect for your work and wonderful upbringing of your kids, as well as having a blast with your caring family, i have noticed some essential flaws on this trailer. I honestly think it will be fine for the trips you are using it for, but i would not call this expedition trailer. there is not much of details shown but what can be seen ..Suspension is too weak and not enough travel, tracks do not match the pulling vehicle prints, (essential for surviving in the extreme) .. too much weight on the toe-bar due to setting the axle to the rear. i understand the needs for entering space though, but it could have been managed better .. Gas Bottle on the outside can be bad news too, so are the exposed piping below and storage space is limited due to narrow compartment design. there are some great features though, like the kitchen / fridge pull outs. Anyhow, there are many trailer designs out there and manufacturers try every which way possible to find the ultimate solution, in order to push their sales .. from the professional suppliers out there, not one has reasonable pricing for what they offer, all are somewhat 45 to 65 Us Dollars / KG when the BASIC engineered material KG price for whatever is fitted there, does not exceed 8 Dollar Us. Just saying..
I respectfully disagree with much of your assessment; especially since you have no first-hand experience with the unit and these videos have been more about adventure than an in-depth review of each feature and system. Still, I covered many of these items towards the end of the episode including the width and cost topics. I as said in the video; there's no perfect trailer or rig... only the one that's perfect for your use case so these items you're defining as "flaws" are actually trade-offs. Our long term goal is a full size vehicle so the track width will match in the future but we're willing to navigate this for the comforts that come with it. As to the suspension, these components have been designed and load tested by engineers with significant testing on trail as well. Part of the reason we're working with this company is to push these trailers even further though so if there are any weaknesses, I assure you we will find them and provide valuable feedback to Xpedition Trailers. As to travel on a trailer, it's a far different beast from a 4-wheeled vehicle since there are no opposing wheels to offset the lean. Too much or too soft of travel and you'll lay it over so there's a fine balance to meet when developing a stable ride. As to cost; you can't list raw materials and expect to come to realistic total. The raw materials are very expensive but they're not even the most expensive part of the trailer build process. Facilities, personnel, insurance, marketing, events, CNC machinery, coatings, electronics, accessories, etc. add up to an astronomical cost. It's sad that trailer manufacturers catch so much flak for going over the top in design and ruggedness then pricing it where they can make enough profit to stay in business. I know this because I used to run ops for Turtleback and did the actual cost analysis. It's even worse these days though with a sparse workforce, increased competition, and overall inflation; it's a tough market! You can complain about the price; but I can assure you there's legitimate costs behind the numbers.
Thanks for the thoughts though! Glad you enjoyed the video!
It would have surprised me if you didn't decide to use that trailer, considering you didn't have anything bad to say.
Abigail's eyes peeking out from under her pink cap cracked me up. Babies, sweet and cuddly. But, I do know why God gives them to young folks. I could not do that again.
I like the run-n-gun style to change up the pace. This episode is like a day in the life vignette.
A little off subject, but does anyone think the new Toyota Land Cruiser with a turbo-4 and hybrid system will be a capable overlanding vehicle. I'm concerned about water fords and the hybrid system.
I'm not super excited about the powerplant option but I'd love for someone to prove it to us. I fear with emissions these days... Our best overland rigs are behind us.
Adventure Baby is a adorable...congratulations!
País : BRASIL 🇧🇷 Hello
My favorite family traveling digital storybook tellers!! Caroline keep up those good cooking meals! 💚
Make the tire pressure kit video! Thanks
Big decision! But I'm all for that choice. Comfort and convenience for the Mama and kids is important. Costs are scary but very valid. I watched a video on the building of an aluminum canopy setup. It took 300 hours of labor plus materials, paint, electrical and components. I love to build units and would love to pick up a trailer like yours. Test and compromise as you say there is no perfect unit. Maybe, just maybe one is in the future for us! Great work!
Don’t apologize for doing what you gotta do, do you. I appreciate ya, stay true and I’ll always support ya
No need to apologize for making a vlog style video! It's fun, and I personally prefer watching real families exploring, doing real life things, vs the super edited "I have to be as good as David Attenborough" footage. That's one awesome trailer!
Thanks! I love taking my story telling to the next level but these episodes have been fun too.
Great video, love that trailer
Thanks! Us too!
congratulations on new member to your family, plus congratulations on your new journey with the new trailer..
looking forward for your family's journeys
Why not Off Grid trailers in Canada? Wondering what features made you go with the more expensive Expedition builds. Love your videos!
To have knowledge of other units and to move forward into a more evolutionary unit with more functionality I mean, why not. Who better than you guys to put it thru it's paces through tough rough terrain and just run of the mill normal stuff I like it, cook a meal extend out the kitchen need some cover from the elements well extend out built-in optional shade, got a full belly from that meal mama bear cooked well step into the your own sleeping quarters. I mean this trailer has all the bells and whistles. Thanks for sharing glad to see the girls doing good, happy trails and go make memories.
Let's see the tire inflation kit build!
Aldi"s redbage chicken will change your chick sand game. Get the brocce buns too. And, your welcome.
OmG ! I literally love the tours you go on ! I have been watching for a few weeks now and I am obsessed! ❤❤❤
Another amazing video!! Please do make a how to video to continue to help us all! Thank you for all your hard work!
Great choice, and great video; love the hard work 😎⭐️🤩🤣
Would your decision be the same if your tow vehicle was still Silver?
Awesome family and awesome camping
Guess we all have to make a living ... all the best from Arkansas.
Cheers to you guys, its a sweet rig for sure! Just throughly enjoy your videos, thankyou!
Glad you enjoy the stories!
@@LifestyleOverland Please make a video on your air up kit
I would be interested in the homemade inflation kit video!!!
Love your channel! We purchased the mammoth about a year ago and run a roofnest on top in case our adult kids go along. We really enjoy the king sizes mattress. The entire trailer dry is 1650 lbs. thanks for your vides!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate you!
