Pretty much what I was going to say. The only other niche thing I've used a stalker for was Kirara trying to arts down a heavy or rock monster way off in an area on her own. Since healing is needed, even with higher DPS, Mizuki won't work. I feel the Stalkers are going to need a fix to become even remotely useful. Like... Anything moving through their field takes damage based on speed. So the quick light enemies that they can barely get a hit on (or those runners that blow right through), will actually take decent damage. And, you know.. The "area horde killer" will actual live up to its name.
For me it wasn't a matter of "Should you pull for Mizuki" but "How many Mizuki will spook you ?" 🤣. I got 3 Mizuki while trying to get Ch'en the Holungday 🤣

Ethan is the reason why i love this archetype, i still like Manticore but i use Ethan more but i was upset at kirara's kit cause I like her design and character.
Mizuki is an amazing unit! ^^ He can be put on places on map other operators just can't and deal NIIICE damage with S1M3! His crowd control is also nice, better than Ethans because is guaranteed and with Ethan you have to rely on chance. Although ofc - I like Ethan as well - will use them both in the same team for some naisu naisu crowd control! :3
Hmmm, no. These kinds of units are generally placed in bottlenecks where enemies converge in order to prevent rushes or delay movement enough for the Defender to be able to block reliably. That in itself is already a niche on gameplay. Ethan is arguably better for Crowd Control since the bind lasts much longer and can be applied to everyone in range. He can effectively perma-bind most targets in his area, specially when under Aak's ATK Speed buff. Manticore is also more reliable with her perma slow hitting everyone in range. Her stun is very gimmicky and increasing an already long Attack Interval doesn't mesh well with me personally. But hey, at least it's synergistic with her talent. This makes Mizuki's only true strength to be in niche situations where the targets aren't more than 2 or 3 or to simply be used for DPS. That's where the issue emerges: This archtype has at the very least underwhelming DPS given their long attack interval, afterall, there's a reason why Kirara was crowned the worst 5 star in the game.

And where they are most effective at: on a lane where all enemies converge. Secondly when I said Defender, even though I was referring to the role, the main purpose the defender has is to block 3. You could apply different strategies: Place down Blaze. Deploy Mudrock. Put down Saria with Thorns/SA/Lappland behind. There's a myriad of options there. Yes Defenders are still being used, Saria especially with her debuff capabilities. Not everyone plays in a very alien way like you. Yes to have subpar DPS on 7 enemies at once is a niche in the game. That's why Aoe Casters don't normally see usage either, that's where Angelina and Eyjafjalla (maybe even SilverAsh if arts aren't necessary) take their place because they can do that and much more. Once again, yes you can use Aoe casters, they are very much usable. They simply aren't the first choice most players will take. Ethan's chance to proc his talent with S2M3 on is 75%. This bind will last 3 seconds. If you think that's not reliable then you really need to try out the archetype you're trying so hard to defend. Mizuki's bind on S2M3 only lasts 1.3 seconds. Ethan's attack timer is 3.5 seconds. Which means he can constantly bind most enemies with 0.5 intervals in between. No interval when buffed by Aak. Mizuki cuts his Attack timer by 1.5, making it 2 seconds. This means that not only is Mizuki's bind only hitting 2 targets maximum, it also crowd controls for less of an interval, at 0.7 seconds per bind. When buffed by Aak, he'll only perma bind 2 enemies with the lowest HP. Ethan can Perma bind just about everyone in his range with no regard to their HP (meaning he can bind high-hp high-dps enemies like the enraged swordmen from Contingency Contract and Annihilation 2). How is that objectively better? Mizuki's high attack stat is far from one of the best in the game. It's not even top 10. The list is as follows: Iris, Indigo, Firewatch, Rosa, Andreana, Skadi, Eunectes, Ambriel, Toddifons, Dusk, W, Franka, Ifrit and then Mizuki. He's at 13th place. And let's not remember his abysmal attack timer at 3.5 seconds being the reason why he has an inflated ATK stat in the first place. The same reason why you see other high attack interval units above him. His DPS simply is not high enough most of the time to justify bringing him over other options. :3

Hi all, looking for some advice tangentially related to ~~rimuru Tempest~~ I mean Mizuki. I was lucky enough to Get Mizuki in the free ten roll. (yay!) I am now wondering what I should do with the senior transfer permit. I was originally going to use it on Manticore as I don't have Her, Platinum or Franka and i needed a stalker specialist to fill a hole in my available line up. Given I now have Mizuki should I still get Manticore, get one of the others or hold onto the ticket until I can choose the last missing one? many thanks and Good luck in your rolls!

I got pot 5 Chen alter in the time it took me to get mizuki... I didn’t even want Chen I just wanted cute boy with soft armpits;-; I whaled sooo much And I would do it again!
He just came out of my last 10 draw last night, trying to get at least one dupe of Ch'alter. I guess i can at least say i got all the units related to this current event then! (Ch'alter,Tequila max pot'd, La Pluma missing 2 dupes, and now Mizuki) MIGHT consider building Mizuki up later on though, but for now i got too much on my plate! This gives the reason why they only think that Chen and Skadi can only be used as a redeoply unit rather than a sustained DPS. But, they can be used as a good DPS if placed in the right spot.

And let's not remember his abysmal attack timer at 3.5 seconds being the reason why he has an inflated ATK stat in the first place. The same reason why you see other high attack interval units above him. His DPS simply is not high enough most of the time to justify bringing him over other options. :3

Hi all, looking for some advice tangentially related to ~~rimuru Tempest~~ I mean Mizuki. I was lucky enough to Get Mizuki in the free ten roll. (yay!) I am now wondering what I should do with the senior transfer permit. I was originally going to use it on Manticore as I don't have Her, Platinum or Franka and i needed a stalker specialist to fill a hole in my available line up. Given I now have Mizuki should I still get Manticore, get one of the others or hold onto the ticket until I can choose the last missing one? many thanks and Good luck in your rolls!

10 pulls for a good 6* vanguard seems worth it (unless you had her already) and we are getting like 50 free pulls for Dossoles alone. Pretty decent chance you will get him anyway so don't give up hope :D

I tried but got the fucking Mostima instead. Thankfully I was able pull Chalter. I'll pour all the resources into this banner until I get Mizuki though.

@@elfhien5713 nah mizuki just need a good spot and he'll do a good job clearing out groups of enemies chen and skadi need to constantly be redeploy to do anything so that alone makes him much better then them
@@darkomihajlovski3135 wait do you're saying that just because Chen and Skadi needs to be redeployed, Mizuki is better than them? Isn't that due to their kit (most specifically S2) that they needed to be constantly redoplyed? Please take in mind that they have different archetypes.
@@darkomihajlovski3135 also, the reason why most players prefer their (Skadi and Chen) s2 is that it is more flexible and easier to use instead of their S3. This gives the reason why they only think that Chen and Skadi can only be used as a redeoply unit rather than a sustained DPS. But, they can be used as a good DPS if placed in the right spot.
