Skadi provides Abyssal Hunters 22% attack and 20% HP Specter provides Abyssal Hunters 5% increased damage dealt Andreana provides abyssal Hunters up to 20% attack speed Specter the Unchained (not to be mixed up with Specter) provides Abyssal Hunters with 30% max HP and .5 SP regen per second Ulpianus provides Abyssal hunters "Increases Max HP by 120 and ATK by 30 after defeating an enemy, stacking up to 10 (+1) times; other [Abyssal Hunter] Operators gain 50% of this boost effect "
S3 counts as redeploy Others: We can reset elemental damage, pull aggro from enemies, bonk far away enemies! What HG really did right is making Ulpianus one of the most satisfying character to use because of his S3. Even if they remove the ability to travel with it, it will still be one of the most satisfying skills in the game for personal gameplay experience. Like heck, who doesn't enjoy throwing a personal ICBM in the enemy face? Sure walter S3 is a lot more busted when you see the AoE effect and damage number but even that is nowhere near as satisfying as someone just nonchalantly tossing a giant ass anchor.
Yes! yes!! yes!!...YES!!! He is very strong and fun to use, even without AH team buff he still can deal most problems with just 1 good medic support him. Of course you should pull this one good hunter.
This was my wierdest banner ever. 1st pull I get Degenbrencher, then on the 10 th pull Degen again.. At 60 i get reedalter dupe. I dont have enough for any more pulls
I also had weird pulls this banner. Got Gnosis at 20, Ascalon at 50, Fiammetta + Ascalon in the next 10 pull, and Saileach on the 150th pull. It's supposed to be 50% chance and I lost that 50/50 5 times 😢. Had to spark him...
Had 300 pulls saved for an attempt at p6 since my other Abyssals are p6. End result p3, oh well, will grab more on the reruns. Other notable grabs are a new Ascalon and Flametail.
Abyssal Hunters are all built. So yes, I will build him (lmd and combat reports doko). Of note: Spectre Guard also has a skill that buffs other AJ, if you get her rank 3 module.
Complete opposite with me, I managed to get 2 wisadels and one logos (as well as a spalter dupe) in 80 pulls on the 5th anniversary banner, but it took me 206 pulls to get Ulpianus 💀 (got an offbanner on the 149th pull and had to go to 57 pity for the next 6*)
Yeah I had your luck with Wis'adel as well. Since I was already in too deep I sparked Logos. Incidentally thanks to the last roll where it gives you a free Wis'adel, I got her beyond max pot.
defense negates flat atk amount on hit its simple subtraction recover hp on getting hit also kind of negates it similar way but heal in case the atk was weaker than heal power so ulpianus is kina crusher with something that gives him sort of defense without having defense which may or may not be actually more powerful cuz as mentioned in video it cant be debuffed
His talent defense is stronger than actual defense for multiple reasons 1) It cannot be debuffed 2) It can work against ALL sorts of damage, not just physical 3) It can outright heal him if the damage is low enough 4) Works better with damage reduction than shelter 5) His module bumps his s2 effective defense to 420 which is above most units already
Mine is already S2M3, I was mostly checking what his module did, and it seems good but Y will likely be the one to buff the AH squad more if I remember his talents correctly.
If you have Abyssal Hunters and Mumu with module lvl 3, Ulpianus clone is pretty insane - it has over 9k HP and 1.9k ATK (plus it steals up to 250 ATK/DEF). Apparently AH talents that only require unit to be in team, so Skadii, Specalter and Andreana work on it.
I have enough guards and no limited Abyssal Hunters. Closest thing to Ulpi here is Nearl TRK. With so many Kazimierz here I would actually prefer that Last Knight on his Seahorse being playable.
Me who has full AH built: Obviously. Me who also has Mumu fully built: Definately. For those who don't know, Mumu's clone also copies Ulpianus's status AFTER he has been buffed in the AH Squad. What's better than one Ulpianus? Two Ulpianus!!

@@MrValdacspecter alter, skadi, and andreanna's buffs are all just "in the squad" so they're immediately applied to all your abyssals even before deployment. Which kind of makes muelsyse a bit of an honorary abyssal getting to make copies of the inflated stats.
Noticed an interesting feature of his team buff, similar to a bug. The increase in HP and damage is multiplied with +n% skills and talents, as if it were part of the base stats of the unit! Because of this, the impact of this buff is much greater than you would expect. I can't remember another buff that would work like this, they all add up whith +n%, and do not multiply. P.S. 146 pulls 😒

Who's the attack speed buffer @ 2:51? Don't recognize them by their face alone. Usually I use Angelina for ASPD+ so curious if that might be a better option.
I've seen a lot of comments on different videos on youtube where people seem to think that he is dependent on Gladiia. So let me dispel the misinformation by saying that he can solo 7-18 (Patriot) using an AFK skill and without having to retreat and redeploy. This is comparable in power to Penance before you ever apply any abyssal hunter buffs. Note that while he is a crusher and has 0 defense he is not squishy. He can get up to 420 healing per every single instance of damage received. This is effectively better than having 420 defense for 3 reasons, 1) it applies to physical, arts, and true damage, 2) defense can never reduce an attack below 5% of it's damage and this can completely nullify incoming attacks, and 3) for attacks lower than 420 damage he can actually heal himself off of them. The abyssal hunter buffs make him significantly stronger than no AH buffs. This is why people are always recommending running him with them, not because he under performs without them.
He's basically the tankiest unit in the game if he's deployed with gladiia. Great against physical, arts, & true damage just by his massive HP regen. Perfect against DoT boss like damazti & patriot.
Guys please help me choose who should i prioritize pulling 1. Ulpianus: honestly I only have 40% interest of him solely because he's an adult male operator and comes from abyssal hunters. Not a fan of overly mysterious and cold character either. But I would like to try pulling simply because he's a male operator in a sea of female chars. I already have tons of guards, like surtr, zuo le, degenbrecher, and hoededer 2. Lappland alter: I seriously considering to pull her and I think I'm pretty safe since she's still pretty far away. I have: goldenglow, Reed alter, passenger, og eyja 3. Siege: I want to pull solely because of familiarity/nostalgic sake, she's my first *6. I don't know about her gameplay though. I have: tons of guards, bagpipe and ines 4. Marcille: she's from limited limited banner and I kinda like her e2 design, not sure about her gameplay. I have: eyja, mostima, lin, ifrit, idk who is good comparison with her 5. Vulpis: heard she's good as a vanguard and I like her design but her big ears put me off... (same as suzuran. Don't come at me it's preference). I have: bagpipe ines texter yalter
From what I've read the only characters you truly care about are Lappland alter and Siege so I would put them at a high priority. Ulpianus is incredibly powerful and is VERY strong with Gladiia alone as his only support and her module. Gladiia is also a wellfare unit and is free/easy to get and build. You don't seem like you need him in your roster based on what you wrote so he's safe to skip and there's no personal incentive to get him. I personally loved the game Bloodborne which I think the Abyssal Hunters are based on so I felt more inclined to get at least one copy of all the hunters. Marcille has a unique playstyle that hinders her use but you can pair her with certain supports to mitigate her weaknesses. She's a high art burst aoe damage dealer with a lot of downtime so she needs a very good docter who wants to actively play. I personally will skip her, I THINK but don't know that Eyja will be a fine substitute. You may need a more informed response but I think she's safe to skip unless you are a fan of the anime or are a collector and would like to have at least 1 copy of the limited collab units. Vulpis is a strong Vanguard according to what others have said and she can very likely be used to hold weak to medium power lanes. but her dp cost is somewhat high and free vanguard options are already very good in this game. Her talents/passives makes her deal both good physical and arts damage so she can perform well against more enemies. I think she's safe to skip UNLESS you want a strong versatile vanguard to remain on the field the entire mission. I personally replace my vanguards after some time and have them as emergency blockers. Priority order would be Lappy/Siege followed by Vulpis then Marcille and lastly Ulpianus. Things to note. Marcille and Lappy I think are going to be limited operators so they will have less banners compared to the rest.
At first, I was thinking to skip him... But bro has too good drip, so without hesitation I pulled him... At least it wasnt so painfull. Luckly I don't have this mindset, that I care if operator is limited it helps a lot with decisions

Initially did 10 pulls just for the guaranteed 5 star thing to activate, before this video is uploaded. Dad didn’t bring milk.

Who's the attack speed buffer @ 2:51? Don't recognize them by their face alone. Usually I use Angelina for ASPD+ so curious if that might be a better option.

I've seen a lot of comments on different videos on youtube where people seem to think that he is dependent on Gladiia.
So let me dispel the misinformation by saying that he can solo 7-18 (Patriot) using an AFK skill and without having to retreat and redeploy. This is comparable in power to Penance before you ever apply any abyssal hunter buffs.
Note that while he is a crusher and has 0 defense he is not squishy. He can get up to 420 healing per every single instance of damage received. This is effectively better than having 420 defense for 3 reasons, 1) it applies to physical, arts, and true damage, 2) defense can never reduce an attack below 5% of it's damage and this can completely nullify incoming attacks, and 3) for attacks lower than 420 damage he can actually heal himself off of them.
The abyssal hunter buffs make him significantly stronger than no AH buffs. This is why people are always recommending running him with them, not because he under performs without them.

He's basically the tankiest unit in the game if he's deployed with gladiia. Great against physical, arts, & true damage just by his massive HP regen.
Perfect against DoT boss like damazti & patriot.

I reinstalled arknight cuz I m bored and pulled with what I have and got him in 1st multi! Yoh I was surprised
Guys please help me choose who should i prioritize pulling
1. Ulpianus: honestly I only have 40% interest of him solely because he's an adult male operator and comes from abyssal hunters. Not a fan of overly mysterious and cold character either. But I would like to try pulling simply because he's a male operator in a sea of female chars. I already have tons of guards, like surtr, zuo le, degenbrecher, and hoededer
2. Lappland alter: I seriously considering to pull her and I think I'm pretty safe since she's still pretty far away. I have: goldenglow, Reed alter, passenger, og eyja
3. Siege: I want to pull solely because of familiarity/nostalgic sake, she's my first *6. I don't know about her gameplay though. I have: tons of guards, bagpipe and ines
4. Marcille: she's from limited limited banner and I kinda like her e2 design, not sure about her gameplay. I have: eyja, mostima, lin, ifrit, idk who is good comparison with her
5. Vulpis: heard she's good as a vanguard and I like her design but her big ears put me off... (same as suzuran. Don't come at me it's preference). I have: bagpipe ines texter yalter
From what I've read the only characters you truly care about are Lappland alter and Siege so I would put them at a high priority.
Ulpianus is incredibly powerful and is VERY strong with Gladiia alone as his only support and her module. Gladiia is also a wellfare unit and is free/easy to get and build. You don't seem like you need him in your roster based on what you wrote so he's safe to skip and there's no personal incentive to get him. I personally loved the game Bloodborne which I think the Abyssal Hunters are based on so I felt more inclined to get at least one copy of all the hunters.
Marcille has a unique playstyle that hinders her use but you can pair her with certain supports to mitigate her weaknesses. She's a high art burst aoe damage dealer with a lot of downtime so she needs a very good docter who wants to actively play. I personally will skip her, I THINK but don't know that Eyja will be a fine substitute. You may need a more informed response but I think she's safe to skip unless you are a fan of the anime or are a collector and would like to have at least 1 copy of the limited collab units.
Vulpis is a strong Vanguard according to what others have said and she can very likely be used to hold weak to medium power lanes. but her dp cost is somewhat high and free vanguard options are already very good in this game. Her talents/passives makes her deal both good physical and arts damage so she can perform well against more enemies. I think she's safe to skip UNLESS you want a strong versatile vanguard to remain on the field the entire mission. I personally replace my vanguards after some time and have them as emergency blockers.
Priority order would be Lappy/Siege followed by Vulpis then Marcille and lastly Ulpianus.
Things to note. Marcille and Lappy I think are going to be limited operators so they will have less banners compared to the rest.

Ulpianus allies gain half og the buff he gets. So he is the one that has to kill and he is the one holding the stacks.
