    In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to make Bubble Waffles or Egg Waffles or Eggettes. This bubble waffle recipe is very easy to make. Bubble Waffles or Egg Waffles come from Hong Kong and are very popular their and in Thailand. They are commonly served wrapped almost like a waffle cone and placed in a container then filled with whipped cream, fruit, or ice cream. But you can eat them flat like a normal waffle, or pull them apart and have the egg shapes in a bowl. Pretty awesome! They taste similar to American waffles, a tad bit more eggy. If I can do it, you can do it. Let's get started!

    I have always loved Belgian waffles and bought a machine that makes them that does the similar flip style like this. I have never heard of this bubble type that's growing it sounds but wow it seems like it would be great. That machine definitely looks easy to use and isn't that large. I love the fact they can be broken up and chosen to amount per user. I am sure just my 4 kids would love this! Thanks for the vid Matt!

      You are so very welcome!! Yeah I love my normal Belgian waffle maker too. It is a restaurant style one that flips over, I have used it a ton over the years. These are so cool just because they look so cool broken up and are super fun to eat. I bet your kids will love it too! :)

    I live in Hong Kong and these are sold all over the place and are extremely popular.. Try adding tapioca flour into your flour as it holds together easier and keep it really light.

    Matt, what I do is put my plate against the cooked waffle while still in the maker, then while holding the plate against it, flip the waffle maker so that the waffle flops onto the plate. Then they don't break. 😁

      Same as other waffles, should be eaten within a few hours of making it for best taste. Otherwise store them in the fridge for a few days, or freeze them for a few months. Reheat them in the air fryer or oven.

    Looks like cake pops. To the viewers: if you still have a cake pop making tray from like 7years ago when that was a craze, you can make these without needing to order a new machine.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  4 роки тому

      Yes they do! They will come out a bit different in a cake pop tray, they won't have the same crispiness you get from a specific waffle iron, but yeah it should still work!
