This is probably the one unit I would take on a vehicle over any of the others as they are pretty much fixed when deployed as very few vehicles can actually tow or move them. Mounting them on a combat vehicle makes them easier to manage and also give them a little better survival with a usually low DV of 7 or more. Reason I love my Brummbar and the Black Flag spray for infantry removal.
for Early war it is rather stupid strong, even if there's only the German with the actual model- which sorta fit the doctrine as well- got to move forward and follow the assault after all. And since I also play Chinese, the piece can added to that army to give it some good punch.
What are the actual Heavy Howitzer models? Warlord games just seems to have mostly medium how. models. What could I use for Americans or French as Heavy?
I know they don’t have models for them on warlord’s line. I can’t think of the names off the top of my head but I’ve seen some third party options for US and Soviet.
When playing more competitive I'd always run a heavy howitzer and even consider one on my tank slot also! Point to note... the latest FAQ and errata states you don't need the tow for the heavy if you start off the table. You can push it on 6" Also have to strongly disagree with the point about the tow being a points sink! An inexperienced horse drawn limber for me is my MVP! 8 points for an order dice is nuts! And glorious 😈
I would love little bit more graphic content, say chart of stats for example. Otherwise top-notch BA content, keep it coming!

The Japanese type 4 heavy howitzer can have an 8 man crew.

Where did you find the errate about the tow and heavy? I'm trying to find it in the 2020 errate but couldn't find it
Yeah I forgot about the horse limber since there’s no official models for it.
