John Quincy Adams vote percentage was the only one bellow 50% because he didn’t win in the electoral college votes. Andrew Jackson did. But because Jackson didn’t get the majority requirements during that election it went to the House of Representatives to decide where Henry Clay had most influence and Henry Clay supported JQA and hated Jackson.

@ Ford got off lucky. Nixon’s original VP was also charge for a crime and drop as VP. Since Nixon was going to drop and his administration was in trouble he needed someone with not as much ties to him. With an amendment passed in the constitution allowing for a new vp to be selected, Ford was allowed to become vp.
There are people who make a big deal about Elon Musk not being voted in as part of Trump’s administration-and although most of which are democrats and I’m a democrat I got to be the reminder that it’s not like we didn’t have someone in the executive branch that wasn’t voted in before since Ford wasn’t elected. So no matter how Musk got in as one of Trump’s administration beside voting he’s not the first. Heck musk not even the first person who never held a government position to get a position in government.

You have to take into account that women couldn't vote before 1920 and black women couldn't before 1965; suffrage laws have changed a lot
