Remember when the police looked like police and and not paramilitary?
Wellness check? That was a coordinated, armed home invasion by law enforcement. Disgusting.
The guy may have been a legitimate threat but kicking in someone's door and yelling "bang out" doesn't exactly imply a wellness check to me.
I agree with Sheriff Grady Judd - "Stop breaking into people's houses!!!"
If combat troops showed up at my door - dressed in full battle-rattle - I wouldn’t believe any fairytales about a wellness check. Self-defense isn’t a crime.
They are not dressed like someone going for a wellness check. It looks like a death squad.

It was his home. He did not Invite them. It was a forced encounter. What crime did he commit? Self harm is not a crime. The police forced the incident.
Why is it automatically attempted murder if the "victim " is law enforcement but yet it isn't when roles are reversed?
Sending a SWAT team to do a "wellness check" is idiotic. They weren't concerned with his welfare, they wanted an excuse to murder a citizen.
Not one law enforcement officer announced themselves What the FUCK IS UP WITH THAT??
The police ARE NOT your friends, especially when they show up in full tactical gear.
