An Art Deco-Inspired Intimate Wedding at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit

As a Detroit-based couple with a deep appreciation for their city, it was perfectly fitting for Kristina and Brady to host their intimate wedding at the Shinola Hotel in the heart of the city. Of all the Detroit wedding venues the couple considered, they knew a Shinola Hotel wedding would best accommodate their 30 person guest list. Kristina and Brady worked with wedding planner Cassy Rose Events to design their dream modern art deco wedding. The day kicked off with an indoor garden wedding ceremony in the venue’s ballroom, where guests were surrounded by lush floral arrangements that made the large space both breathtaking and cozy. The celebration continued at the hotel wedding reception in The Birdy Roomupstairs, which was defined by personalized details, modern wedding decor, and an extravagant eight course dinner. For their spring wedding colors, the pair opted for a black, white, and pink wedding theme. Bride Kristina’s day-of style perfectly aligned with the modern minimalist vibe as she stunned in a sleek trumpet wedding dress. From the intimate ceremony to the floral-filled reception, this spring wedding in Detroit was festive, chic, and true to the couple’s vision.
