    I like it good job. I see some critics here ripping him a new one because he did multiple shots and then composited them together in Photoshop. Most pros do compositing all the time it is called getting the job done. I know if you want to be real artsy about it and some how use a single light source to create a dozen different light hits all with perfection is a great challenge. Do so I'm not going to discourage any one from that type of challenge but when faced with tight deadlines and actual clients who usually way beyond hyper neurotic picky, breathing down your throat to get some thing done quickly all the while looking great with perfection then you must employ all techniques that you know will work. He did what he said he will do and did it well with full information and quite loudly so even the hard of hearing could listen if not understand.

    I'm not a photographer. My hobby is smartphone photography, but I like watching these kind of tutorials because loads of them tips are applicable to smartphone photography too.
    I was never really aware of how much work goes into product photography to get these gorgeous images. The final pic of the bourbon bottle is just out of this world, but wow, does it take time and effort to get there! Anyway, thx for this great video! I'll make sure to check out the rest of your channel and will probably follow you around a bit in the future. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼😉

    What kind of lense and settings did you use? When I make photos like these it looks way more flat and not as moody as yours..

    • @hansd1024
      @hansd1024 5 років тому +1

      nothing to do about the lens. Must be your lighting or the profile youre shooting with (assuming you shoot jpeg since youre asking about settings). But really you can just shoot raw and post process the shots after the fact to make them moody

    • @skylerburtphotos
      @skylerburtphotos  5 років тому +1

      I think this was shot with the 100mm f2.8L from Canon. But for the most part it is lighting with a little bit of post production to increase contrast and of course blend the images together.

    Question: I can't find the answer anywhere. How do you keep DUST off of your products and surfaces?? I'm getting into product vids and photos, but the dust specs and fibers and all matter of junk keep landing all over everything. We keep a clean house. But dang! Do I need to set up a fan to constantly blow on the prop area?
