You have good clearance to get good camera angles into the engine for setting the clearance. Going over both methods is a good education for those that have never adjusted the gap before.
Great video. I do believe, though, that I would have to remove that left side "fake Harley air cleaner" to give better access to the fuel petcock. You should be able to easily reach it, when switching to "reserve", when riding anyway.
I completely understand, it is difficult to get to the petcock for sure but taking those trim pieces off of the sides are no easy task. I prefer to just turn the petcock so I can barely get to it and that works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide
Yes it is typical, when you buy a bike from the dealership they have the mechanics PDI the motorcycle and they will check or adjust the clearance of the valves to make sure it meets criteria. When you receive a bike in the crate it is your responsibility to take it to a mechanic or perform the PDI yourself, whichever you feel most comfortable doing. Buying a bike in the crate has been the most fun on a motorcycle for me because I get to make sure everything is right before I ride. Thanks for the question! 👍🏻
When your valves need adjustment you might have things like hard starting, poor idle, low engine power and even could burn a valve seat. It’s important to follow manufacturers guidelines on valve adjustment. Hope this helps
@@chargerdiego1185 I usually like to do the valve adjustment about after 100 miles. But it’s up to you when you do it but just don’t exceed around 1000 miles without checking it. Congratulations on the new Ghost too!!
Really, I’m surprised, I thought the carb had really good throttle response and worked well. Maybe you just got a bad carb, what did you replace it with?

Thank you, I appreciate that! Hopefully the video will be helpful, thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Good job.
Thanks Jerry! 👍🏻😁
Thank you for your Venom Ghost videos. They help a lot.
Your welcome, I’m enjoying working on the Ghost, I like tinkering on motorcycles almost as much as riding them 😂 Almost!

Is it typical for a new bike to need valves adjusted or is something particular to Venom bikes?

What is the reason for the valve adjustment
